Chapter 1816: Aventurine Expects Luo Feng to Call, Scattering Chips Across the Sky
【Miss Lisa: Jade?】
【Candace: Who is this?】
【Miss Ningguang: Aventurine's senior, another member of the Ten Stonehearts, perhaps.】
【Xilonen: If the Jade mentioned by Mr. Luo Feng is, like Aventurine, a member of the Ten Stonehearts, could it be that the stone in Sunday's hand, which resembles an Aventurine stone, originated from this Lady Jade?】
【Charlotte: It certainly sounds possible, though I am more concerned about why Mr. Luo Feng possesses Jade's lipstick.】
【Wriothesley: So Charlotte also takes an interest in gossip-filled news.】
【Charlotte: Ahem, I am simply concerned with news related to Mr. Luo Feng. After all, news concerning him is almost always a major story capable of selling out across Fontaine.】
【Wriothesley: That is true! While we do not know what abilities the "Contract" Mr. Luo Feng specifically directed toward the Traveler and the others possesses, since it was cast specifically to counter the power Aventurine has just unleashed, it should surely leave Aventurine utterly astonished.】
【Barbara: So, can we now rest assured regarding the Traveler and the others?】
【Kaeya: Considering the killing move Miss Miss Ningguang unleashed against Phantylia, if Aventurine can employ similar techniques, then unless the Traveler Lumine and the Trailblazer Stelle unleash power far beyond our imagination, I fear Mr. Luo Feng will ultimately have to intervene.】
"Jade of the Interastral Peace Corporation? I have heard of her."
"I heard she is a rather dangerous lender; I did not expect that you, Mr. Luo Feng, could also wield her abilities."
Himeko pondered for a moment before speaking to Luo Feng.
"Luo Feng, you still haven't explained how you obtained the lipstick from Jade."
March 7th nudged Luo Feng in the waist with her elbow, asking gossiper-style.
"I meant that the lipstick in my hand is the same model as Jade's, not that... Never mind, think whatever you wish."
Luo Qi shrugged helplessly and said to March 7th:
"By the way, weren't you quite worried about the situation with Stelle and Lumine earlier? Why are you now standing here acting as if nothing is wrong?"
March 7th placed her hands on her hips and stated matter-of-factly: "After all, you have already made your move, so things on their end must be fine."
"Well then, thank you ever so much for your trust." Luo Feng tapped his forehead and looked toward Himeko and Welt Yang: "Do you two think the same?"
Himeko smiled gently and said: "Since Mr. Luo Feng intends to give them a trial and has already provided them assistance, I believe our making an appearance too early would not be a good choice."
Welt Yang adjusted his glasses and nodded in full agreement.
He turned his head to look at Miss Tingyun, who was approaching from another direction alongside Black Swan, and spoke:
"Since Mr. Luo Feng is taking action, I believe we can have a chat with an old friend."
"Or perhaps, I should say, a new friend?"
Hearing this, March 7th looked over and exclaimed in delight: "Great, it's Miss Tingyun! Wait, this isn't Phantylia, is it?"
"Rest assured, the Miss Tingyun appearing before everyone this time is the real one," Lady Yukong said.
"Then I can rest easy." March 7th patted her chest and quickly walked toward Miss Tingyun and Black Swan.
Clock Studios Theme Park.
"Feel the weight of fate!"
Aventurine raised his hand and snapped his fingers; countless oversized chips rained down from the sky, crashing toward Stelle and Lumine.
Seeing this, Stelle threw her hat, knocking away as many of the giant chips as possible, while holding her Blazing Spear before her to construct a fiery red shield, blocking the remaining chips outside its barrier.
Simultaneously, Lumine leaped into the air, using her fists and feet to knock away as many chips as she could, thereby lessening Stelle's burden.
Even Collei was doing her utmost to assist both Stelle and Lumine with her still-unfamiliar power of Harmony.
Be that as it may, the crisp sound of countless chips striking the shield seemed to tell Stelle, Lumine, Collei, and the others that the barrier could shatter at any moment.
"Hehe, if this is all you are capable of, I will be very disappointed."
Aventurine toyed with a chip in his hand as he smiled at Stelle and the others.
"D... Damn it, this guy is underestimating us far too much."
"Please, you must not lose to him."
Paimon stood behind the group, anxiously speaking to Stelle, Lumine, and Collei, who did not even have time to retort to Aventurine.
Just then, three sheets of paper shimmering with a dim purple light shot forward at tremendous speed, plunging into the bodies of Stelle, Lumine, and Collei.
The trio felt their spirits surge, and the pressure emanating from Aventurine instantly diminished greatly.
"Am I seeing things?"
Aventurine narrowed his eyes and murmured.
Just now, he seemed to witness a technique that only his colleague Jade could perform.
Before he could dwell on it further, Collei's arrow, Stelle's hat, and Lumine's iron fist had already arrived right before Aventurine.
Helplessly, Aventurine could only temporarily set aside his doubts and focus on dealing with Lumine, Stelle, and the others.
Yet this time, the moment he engaged, he sensed something was amiss.
"The force of their attacks has increased by nearly double; how interesting."
Aventurine muttered, raising his hand to construct an energy barrier around himself, then immediately flung even more chips and dice toward Lumine, Collei, Stelle, and the others.
Stelle had anticipated this; she rapidly constructed an ability shield, intercepting Aventurine's assault.
"Leave his attacks to me to defend against."
Stelle turned her head to look at Lumine and spoke.
"Alright, then I'll go beat him up!"
Lumine nodded.
With Stelle's aid, she soon broke through the barrage of chips and dice, reaching the energy shield surrounding Aventurine.
"I must force this fellow back as quickly as possible!"
Lumine thought to herself, attacking Aventurine's shield with both fists and kicks.
Although Aventurine's primary targets were Stelle and Lumine, his secondary target was Collei, who stood further back, and the one least attended to by Aventurine's attacks was Paimon.
Yet, being in the midst of this battlefield, Paimon could not avoid being caught in the crossfire.
Although Paimon could currently dodge the chips and dice drifting through the air with Collei's help and her own agile flying ability,
Lumine felt that if this continued, Paimon would inevitably get hit.
At this moment, they had to end the fight quickly!
"Truly a dazzling attack."
"But unfortunately, although your force is slightly greater, there is still a certain gap between you and me."
"To be honest, your performance has truly disappointed me."
Floating within his shield, Aventurine regretfully shook his head.
"I originally thought that since Luo Feng wasn't here, you at least could have entertained me for a while."
"But it seems now that I have miscalculated."
"In that case, let us end this farce sooner rather than later."
