Chapter 194: Luck is truly good, items are truly hard to drop

After hearing the system prompt about the dungeon mission, Shen Tianxing immediately had a guess, following this mission prompt. The second layer should be killing Land Immortal levels four to six, and the third layer requires killing Land Immortal levels seven to nine.

To finally clear it, he would need to kill a Land Immortal Perfection, but for Shen Tianxing this isn't difficult, since passing the first layer reaches Land Immortal level nine, and passing the second layer reaches Land Immortal Perfection.

Therefore, this Hei Wu Fu Ben dungeon is still quite simple for Shen Tianxing; the key is what strength he can reach after passing the third layer, since after removing the Land Immortal restriction, what realm lies above?

Although he was curious, Shen Tianxing didn't dwell on it; he had already drawn his Dragonslaying Blade, flashed to face a sea monster, and with a raised hand cut it in half.

The slaughter began; wherever Shen Tianxing's blade passed, monsters were almost always killed in one strike, but after an hour the first layer mission completed, and the system prompt sounded.

"Congratulations, Host, for successfully clearing the first layer of Hei Wu Fu Ben dungeon, Martial Arts Experience increased by 100%, obtained unknown special reward: Extreme Blind Box."

Shen Tianxing didn't expect the unknown special reward to be a blind box; he opened the System Package, wanting to see what exactly was inside the Extreme Blind Box.

He found that the Extreme Blind Box had a question mark floating on it, and also three locked characters.

Shen Tianxing felt it was increasingly like playing a game dungeon, so he clicked the question mark, and indeed a line of text immediately appeared.

"To open this Extreme Blind Box, an Extreme Blind Box Key is required; the Extreme Blind Box is also the only box in the system that has a chance to drop a Wish Card."

The question mark turned into an exclamation mark, and it was gray, but this description left Shen Tianxing laughing and crying.

He deliberately searched for Wish Cards in the search bars of the System Mall and the Advanced Mall, but indeed there were none.

"I have already cleared the first layer and obtained an Extreme Blind Box; moreover, what exactly is this Wish Card?"

Having no choice, Shen Tianxing could only contact Xiao Yu; her reply transmitted directly into his mind.

"Wish Cards can only be obtained by opening a blind box after acquiring an Extreme Blind Box in the dungeon; of course this probability is low, about 5%."

"Wish Cards allow you to make a wish to the system; any wish is possible, including whether you are not yet a Land Immortal? If you want to break through to the next level, you need to complete the subsequent side quest to unlock that permission."

"But if you use a Wish Card, you can directly wish to the system to obtain the system's highest permission realm, without needing to pay any Killing Value."

"Or you can wish for all your martial arts to reach the highest level, or for all your equipment to reach the highest level; your luck today must be high, otherwise you wouldn't have gotten an Extreme Blind Box."

"Hurry and grind the second layer; you might drop a Blind Box Key, though usually only fragments of a Blind Box Key drop, and each time only 1/10."

"If your reputation is high enough, you are likely to drop half a Blind Box Key or even an entire Blind Box Key, allowing you to directly open the Extreme Blind Box."

"If your luck is high enough, the chance of the Extreme Blind Box dropping a Wish Card also increases, meaning that once you have a Wish Card you can become directly invincible, of course limited to the system's permission."

"Currently, the system's permission only allows you to break through Land Immortal to the peak strength of the next realm, and in fact Land Immortal is divided into five realm levels."

"You are actually at the first level of Land Immortal, Penetrating Mystery; the second level is Empty Mystery; the third level is Freedom; the fourth level is Questioning the Dao; the fifth level is Carefree."

"Your Martial Dao Realm is actually the ninth level of Land Immortal Penetrating Mystery; Ru Yan, because of your relation, hasn't broken through to Empty Mystery, but in fact as soon as you break through this limit, she will immediately reach Empty Mystery Perfection."

Shen Tianxing could understand Xiao Yu's words, meaning that before he raises the Land Immortal's first level, Penetrating Mystery, to Perfection, there's no need to know of Empty Mystery's existence.

But because of the Wish Card, Xiao Yu now tells Shen Tianxing the corresponding strength realm afterward; for this, Shen Tianxing always feels something is off, fearing this isn't the only Martial Dao Realm of Land Immortal, there must be a problem here.

But Shen Tianxing is also accustomed to it; if Xiao Yu doesn't say, don't deliberately ask, because if she doesn't say, she won't tell you, and asking would be pointless.

"Alright, I'll head to the second layer first."

Shen Tianxing replied with a sentence and stepped into Second City, and the system prompt sounded as well.

"Hei Wu Fu Ben dungeon second layer: please slay twenty Land Immortal level four sea monsters, ten Land Immortal level five sea monsters, five Land Immortal level six sea monsters."

"Completing the dungeon mission yields an unknown reward, and Martial Arts Experience increases by 100%."

It's still an unknown reward, meaning it's likely a blind box, but what exactly can a blind box drop? Who can say for sure; however, it's only a 5% chance, which is actually still too low.

For this, Shen Tianxing deliberately checked his luck, and it turned out to be 80, the system's default maximum value.

After seeing it, Shen Tianxing also showed a satisfied smile, then immediately drew his blade and attacked.

"Congratulations, Host, for slaying one Land Immortal level six sea monster; item dropped: Blind Box Key."

After killing the last sea monster, Shen Tianxing was almost speechless, and finally the Blind Box Key dropped.

This is thanks to luck reaching 80; without that luck, killing two layers probably wouldn't yield a Blind Box Key, after all the first layer didn't drop any either.

"Congratulations, Host, for clearing the second layer of Hei Wu Fu Ben dungeon, Martial Arts Experience increased by 100%, obtained unknown reward: Ultimate Blind Box."

After hearing the system prompt, Shen Tianxing also felt somewhat laughable; he is now Land Immortal Penetrating Mystery Perfection, yet he never expected the unknown reward to again be a blind box, and the problem is that one key is not enough.

"System, use the Blind Box Key to open the Ultimate Blind Box."

"Congratulations, Host, for successfully opening the Ultimate Blind Box; items are being determined randomly, please wait patiently."

The system prompt also surprised Shen Tianxing; opening boxes had always been instant, but he didn't expect to have to wait for random item determination, which is truly novel.

"Congratulations, Host, for successfully obtaining Wish Card Fragment 1/3."

Upon hearing this system prompt, Shen Tianxing was completely dumbfounded; it is indeed a Wish Card, but only 1/3—what is going on?

"This is already not bad; knowing that a 5% chance yields a complete Wish Card, a 1/3 fragment would be only a 10% chance."

Xiao Yu reminded Shen Tianxing; for this, Shen Tianxing could only give a wry smile, but then he suddenly thought of another key point.

"Wait, after clearing the dungeon, can I still continue grinding dungeons?"

"In theory, of course you can, but given that after clearing the dungeon you will enter the Empty Mystery realm, making it impossible to gain experience, though item drops still occur."
