Chapter 218: The Reason for Successful Escape

"If it is upright, defeat the merchant ship and plunder it."

"If it is reversed, spare the merchant ship and leave directly."

Having set the rules, Hawkins drew a card and found it was the upright Joker.

Looking at the image of the grinning clown on the Joker card, Hawkins frowned.

Then, he began to divinate the outcome of the battle.

However, as the divination proceeded, cold sweat grew more profuse on Hawkins' face, and his complexion began to turn extremely pale.

Because no matter how he divined, his own survival chance in the battle was...

Zero!

"The chance of defeating the Wuhaishang Society is zero."

"The chance of survival after defeat is zero."

"The chance of successful escape in the current direction is 1..."

"The chance of successful escape returning to Sabaody Archipelago is 50..."

"Returning to Sabaody Archipelago, facing the Three Admirals of the Navy, the escape success rate is 10, survival chance is 20..."

Seeing the divination prompt before his eyes, Basil Hawkins fell silent.

The survival chance against the Wuhaishang Society is zero.

Returning to Sabaody Archipelago, facing the Three Admirals of the Navy, the survival chance is actually slightly higher.

Why, for him, is the danger level of the Wuhaishang Society even higher than that of the Three Admirals of the Navy...

What the hell is this logic!

Shaking off the strangeness in his heart, Hawkins immediately ordered:

"Change course, full speed back to Sabaody Archipelago."

Since the divination had already given a prompt, then he, Hawkins, for the sake of his life, could only follow the divination's prompt.

A crew member wearing a Zhujiao Sect robe heard this and immediately spoke:

"Captain, the Three Admirals of the Navy have already landed on Sabaody Archipelago and are searching everywhere to capture the God-Slayer Lin Yu. If we return now, we will only be walking into a trap."

Hawkins said coldly:

"This is the will of the gods!"

The Zhujiao Sect crew member was stunned, then respectfully said: "Yes, Captain!"

Since it is the will of the gods, there is no other way.

With Hawkins' order issued, the Resentful Dof pirate ship beneath his feet suddenly turned its bow and sailed towards the direction of Sabaody Archipelago.

On the Divine Slave.

"Young Master, they seem to be running towards Sabaody Archipelago."

"Should we continue the pursuit?"

Anna stood at the bow, holding a telescope and constantly observing the distant Hawkins pirate ship, speaking to Lin Yu.

Escaping to Sabaody Archipelago?

Hearing Anna's words, Lin Yu sat up from the lounge chair, picked up the telescope, and looked towards Hawkins' fleet, discovering that the other party was indeed running towards Sabaody Archipelago.

Doesn't Hawkins know that the Three Admirals of the Navy are capturing pirates on Sabaody Archipelago?

Is he trying to walk into a trap?

However, in this case, should I continue the pursuit or not...

Seeing the Hawkins pirate ship enter the inner river of Sabaody Archipelago again, Lin Yu frowned and prepared to turn his ship's head to stop chasing.

The other party's Paramecia-type Straw Fruit is certainly valuable, but it is not worth the risk of meeting an Admiral.

Although the Divine Slave has already disguised itself as the Wuhaishang Society and should not be recognized.

But caution ensures a long voyage; there is no need for me to run straight into the muzzle of a gun.

Just as Lin Yu was preparing to turn his ship's head, another pirate ship suddenly emerged from the inner river of Sabaody Archipelago not far in front of the Divine Slave.

Seeing the slender figure standing on the bow, Lin Yu raised an eyebrow, directly abandoned Hawkins' ship, turned direction, and chased towards that newly appeared ship.

The reason?

Naturally, it is because that ship is the pirate ship of the Gluttonous Woman, Jewelry Bonney.

Devil Fruits or whatever, how can they be more tempting than a pink-haired beauty?

Moreover, the Gluttonous Woman Bonney's Devil Fruit isn't bad either, okay!

Seamless switching between maiden, mature lady, and mature woman; for Lin Yu, this is naturally more attractive than Hawkins' Devil Fruit...

Moreover, continuing to pursue Hawkins might still mean facing the Three Admirals, carrying a certain risk.

In this case, who to choose, the answer is naturally clear and obvious.

On the Bonney pirate ship.

Jewelry Bonney watched the Hawkins pirate crew pass by her ship and frowned slightly.

The other party's bizarre action made a bad feeling arise in Bonney's heart.

However, when she sailed out of the inner river and arrived on the shallow sea of Sabaody Archipelago, seeing no Navy warships on the sea surface, only a merchant ship, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Regardless of the reason Hawkins returned to Sabaody Archipelago, as long as it is not the Navy Admiral Akainu chasing, then for her, Jewelry Bonney, it is no big deal!

Thinking of this, Bonney gave orders to the subordinate beside her:

"Accelerate and move away from Sabaody Archipelago; after the Navy Admiral leaves, we will return here!"

"Yes, Captain Bonney." Bonney's subordinate heard the order and immediately began to act.

After giving the order, Jewelry Bonney looked back once more at Hawkins' pirate ship.

Discovering that the other party was also standing on the gunwale, looking at her with a strange expression, leaving Bonney unable to guess what the other party actually meant.

"Mumbling nonsense, nagging like an old woman—hardly manly!"

Seeing Hawkins's expression, Bonney muttered in displeasure, doubting whether the bounty of over two hundred million Belly on his head was a mistake.

Not long after sailing out of the Sabaody Archipelago, one of Bonney's subordinates came to her side and said, "Captain Bonney, that merchant ship seems to be chasing us; it doesn't feel like an ordinary merchant vessel."

"A merchant ship?"

Hearing her subordinate's words, Jewelry Bonney froze for a moment, then turned her head to look behind the ship.

She discovered that the merchant ship, whose sail bore the characters 'Wuhaishang Society', was indeed chasing her vessel, and its speed was not slow; at this rate, it wouldn't be long before they were caught up with.

"Captain Bonney, this merchant ship appears to belong to the Wuhaishang Society of the North Blue, which is famous for exterminating pirates."

At this moment, one of Bonney's subordinates spoke.

"Famous for exterminating pirates?"

"So does this society have its eyes on my bounty?"

Hearing her subordinate's words, Jewelry Bonney laughed in extreme anger.

Suddenly, Bonney remembered Hawkins's identity from the North Blue; her heart gave a jolt, and she stood frozen in place.

'Could it be that Hawkins returned to the Sabaody Archipelago because of this merchant ship?'

'For this, he was even willing to face the Three Admirals of the Marines?'

A thought arose in Bonney's mind, leaving her utterly horrified.

Then, Bonney recalled the way Hawkins had just looked at her, which made her unease grow even stronger.

With this thought, Bonney shouted at her subordinate:

"Full speed ahead! Shake off that merchant ship behind us!"

"Yes, Captain Bonney!"

A river within the Sabaody Archipelago.

Seeing the Wuhaishang Society ship abandon him and instead pursue Bonney, Hawkins breathed a sigh of relief from the bottom of his heart.

Then, he reached out and drew a card from the deck, discovering it was a Voodoo Doll card.

"So, this is the reason the success rate for returning to the Sabaody Archipelago to escape is fifty percent."
