Chapter 244: Power Increase: Eight Stars!

【Ding! Paramecia-type: Yomi Yomi no Mi, value...... requires payment of forty million Berries or equivalent treasure.】

【Do you wish to pay?】

Hearing the prompt beside his ear, Lin Yu put down the newspaper in his hand.

The next second, a yellow Devil Fruit covered in spiral stripes appeared in his hand.

"It seems Kalifa and the others have finally completed their mission."

Examining the Devil Fruit in his hand closely, Lin Yu nodded in satisfaction.

Judging by Brook's situation and performance in the original story.

Although the Yomi Yomi no Mi grants no ability boost to the user after consumption, it allows the consumer to revive once after death and master soul-related abilities.

This is equivalent to obtaining a resurrection armor.

This is also a major reason why Lin Yu wanted to acquire the Yomi Yomi no Mi before the Summit War began.

In this way, even if Lin Yu appears in the Summit War and makes a fatal mistake leading to his death, as long as Reiju and the others retrieve or steal his corpse.

He will be able to successfully revive, gain a second life, and awaken soul-related abilities.

Of course, this is merely the worst-case scenario Lin Yu has envisioned regarding the Summit War dungeon.

He is confident that if he is slightly more cautious, the worst outcome will only be acquiring fewer Devil Fruits; escaping unscathed is not difficult.

After all, Lin Yu is not greedy; as long as he can seize Bai Huzi's Paramecia-type: Gura Gura no Mi during the Summit War, he will be content.

As for Ma Erke's Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, and Jozu's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Diamond, obtaining them would be best.

If not, it does not matter; Lin Yu can simply hunt down Ma Erke and the other remnants of Bai Huzi's crew after Entering the New World.

After all, once Bai Huzi dies, hunting down Ma Erke and these others will be much easier.

Placing Brook's Yomi Yomi no Mi into the extra-dimensional storage box, Lin Yu picked up the newspaper again and read it carefully.

Just as Shakky of the Sabaody Archipelago told the Straw Hat Pirates in the original story.

Information in the news newspapers is intelligence, and grasping this intelligence in a timely manner is an essential duty for every captain or ambitious person.

Regarding this, Lin Yu naturally expressed deep agreement.
