Chapter 29: Famous Throughout the World (Part 2)

On a winter island somewhere, heavy snow was falling.

The Red Hair Pirates were hiding in a cave, sobering up...

"My head hurts so much..."

Shanks, one of the Four Emperors, lay beside the fire, his eyes vacant, as if demented.

Last night, a polar bear near their camp gave birth to a cub, so they immediately held a banquet to celebrate the cub's birth.

Who knew they would drink all night long? Afterwards, someone got drunk and killed the great polar bear, making a hot pot of bear meat...

Of course, even if the polar bear hadn't given birth to a cub, they would have found some excuse to hold a banquet anyway.

The most important thing was holding the banquet; the rest, they didn't care about.

A news bird flew over the island.

Bang!

A gunshot startled the news bird into quacking wildly; it flapped its wings frantically and dropped a newspaper.

The newspaper fell from the sky and was picked up by Benn Beckman, the Red Hair Pirates' first mate.

As a pirate, he had no habit of paying money to buy things.

"Heh, a bounty of one billion five hundred million. This newcomer named Lin Yu is quite capable."

Looking at the newspaper in his hand, Beckman smiled; he was also from the North Blue.

"A newcomer has emerged from the North Blue, with a first bounty of one billion five hundred million."

"Your bet on Straw Hat Luffy now has an opponent."

Returning to the cave, he tossed the newspaper to Shanks, sat aside, and blew out a smoke ring.
