Chapter 21: The hunt begins

Chen Fan wanted to check his ranking, but found that the list only showed the top one thousand candidates.

And his score of one point was simply not enough to make the list.

Chen Fan originally intended to get on the road quickly, but the system panel in his mind changed, and an extra column actually appeared.

【Host】: Chen Fan

【Ability】: Thunder-Devouring Sacred Body (SS)

【Level】: Tier 1 Mid-stage

【Physique】: 48

【Mental Power】: 33

【Killing Points】: 1

【Skills】: Nine Heavens Thunder Movement, Thunder Flash, Thunder Palm

【Evaluation】: A weak and powerless little chick

【Current Task】: Obtain the provincial top scholar of Shannan Province, can participate in the ability lottery, task level E.

"Killing points? What is this?" Chen Fan was a little puzzled and asked the system.

"Killing points are points generated by hunting strange beasts. One hundred killing points can be exchanged for one green-grade lottery!"

"Good stuff, it seems I must bring out my real skills!"

Chen Fan was pleasantly surprised in his heart and ran toward the distance, where he could encounter more strange beasts.

And at this time, in a conference hall in Yuliang Town, the principals of ten high schools in the three cities, as well as the grade directors, all gathered here.

In front of the hall was a huge monitor, which displayed the current candidate ranking in real time.

"Jiang Tiannan? Could it be that genius who awakened the A-grade ability Golden Flame Scorching Fire?" Everyone discussed, and the eyes looking at the principal of Yancheng No. 1 High School were full of envy.

The principal of Yancheng No. 1 High School was named Jiang Yishan. At this time, a proud expression appeared on his face. He looked around at everyone and said: "Tiannan has already touched the threshold of Tier 1 Peak. This first place in the three cities belongs to him!"

The people who were originally envious had ugly faces. It had just started, and you have already reserved first place?

The principal of Weicheng No. 1 High School said unconvinced: "Chu He from our school has also touched the threshold of Tier 1 Peak, and he is only two points behind Jiang Tiannan. The competition has just started, and first place has not yet been concluded!"

"Yes, Mu Zhijun from our school is not bad either!"

Everyone spoke one after another.

However, only two figures sat quietly in the corner of the scene, not participating in everyone's discussion.

These two were Principal Zhang Zongwen of Qingcheng No. 3 High School and Grade Director Du Jiang.

Their faces were a bit nervous, and their eyes were fixed on the candidate death list in the lower right corner of the screen.

"Principal, Chen Fan has already lasted fifteen minutes!" Du Jiang's face was a bit pale, and he whispered to Zhang Zongwen.

"Hmm!" Zhang Zongwen responded, not even having the heart to pay attention to the results of the genius candidates in his own school.

And just at this moment, Jiang Yishan, the principal of Yancheng No. 1 High School, suddenly looked toward the two.

"Principal Zhang, I heard that a liberal arts student from your school is participating. What's his name again? Say it out, let everyone see his ranking."

Zhang Zongwen's face turned black. Don't you know that the ranking only shows the top one thousand? You still want to see his ranking? Can he be on the list? You are deliberately hitting my old face.

But everyone looked at him one after another, and he couldn't be made a joke of, so he could only pretend to be calm: "His name is Chen Fan, he's not on the list yet!"

"On the list? Old Zhang, I'm afraid you haven't woken up yet. If he's on the list, he's on the death list." Jiang Yishan laughed loudly, without leaving any face.

"Old Zhang, I heard that the students in your school play very wildly. Someone wants to perform a streaking show at the graduation ceremony?" Another principal spoke up to tease.

"Hahaha!" Everyone in the conference room burst into laughter.

Zhang Zongwen always had a dark face, making it impossible to see his happiness or anger, but in fact, he wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

Outside, many people were also paying attention to this martial arts test. Wang Yanran no longer had the heart to pay attention to the liberal arts exam affairs of the students in her class.

She stood on the square in front of the school teaching building, staring at the screen in front of her, for fear of the news of Chen Fan's death appearing.

Yang Chuchu was also nervous. Today is Saturday, and there are no classes in school, but every year at this time, the school organizes to watch the live broadcast of the joint exam of the three cities, and it is voluntary.

According to Yang Chuchu's past temperament, she wouldn't care about this kind of thing, nor would she participate, but this time she came, and she also called her good friend Wang Wenli to come along.

At this time, when other students in their class were discussing the top-ranked candidates, only she was nervously staring at the last few places in the ranking, because she felt that Chen Fan's name might appear there.

In the other-dimensional space, another ten minutes passed, and Chen Fan had already appeared five kilometers away, but he encountered very few strange beasts along the way. So far, he had only obtained three points and still did not have the qualification to make the list.

"Am I that unlucky? Are there so few strange beasts in the direction I chose?" Chen Fan looked around and was a bit speechless.

And just at this moment, the first candidate to be eliminated in the martial arts test appeared.

An alarm sounded in Yuliang Town, and a soldier shouted loudly: "Eight kilometers from the entrance, in the six o'clock direction, a candidate crushed the energy ball, the rescue team set out quickly!"

"Someone was eliminated?" In the conference hall, the principals and directors were shocked and looked at the screen.

"Liu Hong from Yancheng No. 2 High School eliminated!"

"Phew~" Zhang Zongwen and Du Jiang breathed a sigh of relief, hurriedly wiped the cold sweat from their foreheads, and secretly said fortunately it wasn't Chen Fan.

And Chen Fan finally had a burst of luck. After he climbed over a low hill, it was actually a lake.

There were many strange beasts drinking water around the lake.

Chen Fan roughly estimated there were more than thirty.

"Rich, rich!" Chen Fan was exceptionally excited.

He threw the backpack on his back aside and rushed toward the herd of beasts.

"Roar!" The herd was frightened, but soon reacted and angrily pounced on Chen Fan.

Chen Fan was not afraid at all. He first confronted a golden-patterned cheetah with extremely fast speed.

Chen Fan leaned back, dodged the pounce, and the next moment his arm reached out quickly and grabbed the other's tail, which was more than a meter long.

The pouncing golden-patterned cheetah's body stalled in the air, and before it could react, it was swung by Chen Fan.

Chen Fan grabbed its tail, exerted force with his body, and whipped it hard on the ground like a whip. After three or five times, the cheetah's whole body bones were shattered, its body was like mud, and it died completely.

The next moment Chen Fan accelerated suddenly and collided with an iron-skinned black bull!

Chen Fan's powerful physique directly knocked the other party out several meters away, and the next moment, Chen Fan stepped forward and kicked its heart to explode.

Chen Fan was like a killing demon. His powerful physique was enough to rival a Tier 1 late-stage strange beast.

The strange beasts here were all Tier 1 early-stage, so how could they be his opponents? In just five minutes, Chen Fan slaughtered more than thirty strange beasts.

And at this time his points reached 38.

His name finally appeared on the ranking list.

1st place: Jiang Tiannan from Yancheng No. 1 High School, 285 points!

2nd place: Chu He from Weicheng No. 1 High School, 260 points!

998th place: Chen Fan from Qingcheng No. 3 High School, 38 points!

Chen Fan looked at his ranking, and his originally excited mood was suddenly incomparably angry.

Where did this group of animals mix up so many points?

In fact, what Chen Fan didn't know was that the joint exam of the three cities is held here every year. Which area has more strange beasts, many candidates know like the back of their hands. Even more, the elders in the family will personally escort their own juniors to come here in advance before the exam to familiarize themselves with the other-dimensional space.

So Chen Fan lost at the starting line. ===== CHAPTER 22 =====
