Chapter 244: Heaven Grade Pill

Lu Yu took a deep breath, his gaze fixed tightly on the remaining Experience Value, which was around 7,000 points.

According to his estimation, if nothing went wrong, this Experience Value should be enough to raise his current Skill to the next critical stage.

The facts were just as he had expected; after a quick check, he discovered that the Experience Value required for the next level-up was exactly 4,800 points.

Although it was a lot, Lu Yu felt it was well worth it.

Because... he poured all 4,800 points of Experience Value in at once, and as a flash of white light crossed his mind, a feeling of sudden enlightenment surged into his heart like a tide.

Immediately following this, the changes to his Skill panel appeared before his eyes—

【Blood Qi Pill Alchemy: Consummation (Cannot be upgraded), Trait: Pill Formation Level 5, Top Grade】.

Looking at the two characters for "Top Grade," Lu Yu couldn't help but swallow hard, his heart beginning to beat violently; harboring an incomparably excited and nervous mood, he slowly clicked on this trait.

【Top Grade: Pills refined have a 70% probability of appearing as Top Grade quality, and a 30% probability of appearing as High Grade quality】

"Seventy percent!" Lu Yu blurted out, then read it over several more times.

This meant that if he were to refine Blood Qi Pills right now, out of every furnace of pills, seven would actually be of Top Grade quality, and the remaining three would all be High Grade.

After a careful calculation, the Potential Points contained in this furnace of pills reached a staggering amount!

One must know that just a short while ago, the Potential Points he gained from refining one furnace of pills were generally only around 320,000; compared to that, this was nearly a doubling of the gain, so how could he not be ecstatic.

【Detected that two Blood Qi Pill Alchemy skills have reached Consummation and can be fused to raise the cap. Do you wish to fuse?】

Such a prompt message suddenly appeared in his mind.

The smile on Lu Yu's face grew even richer; he had been waiting for this all along.

Naturally, he chose to fuse.

After clicking "Yes," the two Blood Qi Pill Alchemy skills instantly turned into specks of golden light and dissipated; under Lu Yu's gaze, these golden lights gathered and fused together once more.

【Blood Qi Pill: Chushen Ruohua (Cannot be upgraded), Trait: Pill Formation Level 6, True Top Grade】

"True Top Grade?" Seeing this trait, Lu Yu's heartbeat suddenly accelerated.

However, he did not rush to click and view it immediately, but instead clicked on the Pill Formation trait first.

【Pill Formation: For every level the skill increases, the success rate of pill formation increases by 30%】

Lu Yu nodded; as expected, the fused Blood Qi Pill Alchemy had even improved its pill formation success rate.

At first glance, this seemed a bit redundant, because at level four, the Pill Formation trait's success rate had already reached 120%, which was an overflow, let alone the 180% at level six, which overflowed even more severely.

However, for those who had just begun to learn this Alchemy, this was undoubtedly good news because the difficulty of refining pills was lowered.

Just at Entry, there was a 30% chance to refine a finished pill; at the Small Success realm, the probability exceeded half; if one reached the level of Entering the Hall, the pill formation probability could even reach 90%, almost equivalent to one hundred percent.

Yet the Awakened Association's Prescription, when Alchemy was still at the Entering the Hall level, only had a 75% pill formation rate, and the Martial Arts Association's was even lower, at only 60%.

Not only that, but with the fusion and upgrade of Alchemy, the quality traits corresponding to each stage also saw significant improvements.

Especially this newly appeared "True Top Grade" trait, which filled Lu Yu with curiosity and anticipation.

Finally, he couldn't wait to click on the "True Top Grade" trait.

【True Top Grade: Pills refined have a 90% probability of being Top Grade quality, and a 10% probability of appearing as Heaven Grade quality】

"So, Top Grade quality is not the limit of pill quality; above Top Grade, there is actually Heaven Grade quality?" Lu Yu's heart was greatly shocked.

He secretly pondered that perhaps even the President might not know about this.

No, perhaps no one in the entire Jiangnan District Martial Arts Association knew about this matter.

Even if someone in the Awakened Association might know, given that the probability of it appearing was so low, the number of people who knew about it must be extremely rare.

Lu Yu stared fixedly at the trait description, pondering to himself that with only a 10% probability of a Heaven Grade Blood Qi Pill appearing, no wonder this trait was called "True Top Grade" instead of being named directly as "Heaven Grade."

"In other words, this Blood Qi Pill Alchemy still has a lot of room for improvement!"

To further improve the refining effect, he clearly had to find a way to collect more Blood Qi Pill Prescriptions.

Once all these prescriptions were raised to the Consummation realm, he would fuse them with the existing Alchemy.

According to this projection, the probability of a Heaven Grade Blood Qi Pill appearing would likely increase from the current 10% to 20%.

By that logic, it would probably take at least a 50% probability to unlock the Heaven Grade trait.

It was not hard to imagine that this was by no means an easy task.

Currently, the Martial Arts Association only possessed one Blood Qi Pill Prescription.

And as for the Awakened Association, perhaps the number of prescriptions would be higher, but the one he had on hand was surely already a superior choice among them.

That is to say, when performing the second fusion, the increase in probability might not even reach 10%, perhaps only around 5%... Lu Yu scratched his head helplessly at this thought.

He wondered if the old man might have some prescriptions?

However, he was now a Pulse Refining Realm Martial Artist; if he spent a large amount of Experience Value on fusing Blood Qi Pill Prescriptions, he felt it wasn't very cost-effective; it would be better to use the Experience Value on True Qi Pills, which might be more appropriate.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu took a deep breath, realizing that the importance of joining the Awakened Association had greatly increased.

After all, in the Martial Arts Association, there was a high probability that there was only one True Qi Pill Prescription as well.

If he could obtain more resources regarding True Qi Pills at the Awakened Association, it would undoubtedly be like adding wings to a tiger for his own strength improvement.

"Wait until the afternoon; when opening the lid, I'll go find the old man again and talk to him about this. If he really has a prescription, that would be for the best." Lu Yu calculated silently in his heart.

In addition, Lu Yu couldn't help but ponder how many Potential Points this Heaven Grade Blood Qi Pill could provide.

According to one Top Grade Blood Qi Pill being equivalent to?

Calculated this way, the Potential Points would be at least 500,000 or 600,000, almost half of a Low-Grade Gathering Spirit Pill.

"With a 10% probability, refining a dozen or twenty furnaces, one will surely appear."

Lu Yu steadied himself and cast his gaze toward the 【Disguise and Bone-Shrinking Technique】; next, it was time to upgrade this martial art.

He looked at the Experience Value, with only a little over 2,000 left, and couldn't help but sigh softly.

No matter how much Experience Value he had, it never seemed enough; it appeared it was time to go hunt Elite-level Fierce Beasts to obtain more experience.

Lu Yu invested one point of Experience Value, and the proficiency of the 【Disguise and Bone-Shrinking Technique】 increased by 1/400.

At first, he thought he had misread it, and only after a long while did he shake his head with a bitter smile.

There is no other way; he can only add all the remaining Experience Value.

In an instant, a strange sensation welled up in his heart, but other than that, there were no other obvious changes.

"It seems this martial art does not have the effect of improving physical attributes." Lu Yu looked at the Skill interface:

【Disguise and Bone-Shrinking Technique: Initial Glimpse (0%), Traits: Persistence Level 1, Insignificant Skill】

【Persistence: For every level increased, the duration of Disguise and Bone-Shrinking increases by 15 minutes】

【Insignificant Skill: Active Skill, consumes 100 True Qi points, can make minor changes to appearance and physique】

"It can only be maintained for 15 minutes; the time is still a bit short."

Lu Yu frowned slightly; after all, he was not clear about the duration of the Awakened Association's assessment, and if it exceeded 15 minutes, that would be troublesome.

Fortunately, the remaining Experience Value was enough to increase it by another level.

As for "Insignificant Skill," it was not surprising as an active skill.

Judging from the trait description, it can only make minor changes to appearance and physique, and it seems it cannot change the voice.

After Lu Yu confirmed it again, he reminded himself in his heart to pay extra attention to this point.
