Chapter 286: Reporting to Headquarters

After Qi Heng finished speaking, his gaze seemed to be firmly nailed to Lu Yu, watching him intently without blinking once.

This was not because Qi Heng distrusted Lu Yu or felt in his heart that he was making things up.

It was simply that the influence of this matter was too far-reaching and its significance so great that he could not afford the slightest carelessness; he had to confirm it again and again to feel at ease.

"That is correct." Lu Yu said with a calm expression and a slight smile,

"As far as the Prescriptions currently possessed by the Association are concerned, when the proficiency of Alchemy reaches the state of Peak Perfection and Consummation, there is only a thirty percent probability of refining a Top-grade Blood Qi Pill.

Once the Alchemy proficiency reaches Consummation with the Prescription I have carefully improved, the probability of refining a Top-grade Blood Qi Pill will soar to one hundred percent."

As soon as these words were spoken, the three people present all gasped.

Lu Yu's words conveyed at least two key pieces of information.

First, from the fact that he could so confidently state the success rate of Top-grade Pills after improving the Prescription, it was not hard to deduce that his Alchemy proficiency had already reached the realm of Consummation.

Second, the quality of the improved Prescription was absolutely superior to the Association's original Prescription, to the point of being overwhelming.

Even under the most ideal conditions, the original Association Prescription had a Top-grade success rate of only thirty percent, but Lu Yu's improved Prescription could reach a terrifying one hundred percent; the gap between them was nothing short of heaven and earth.

Qi Heng slowly exhaled the breath he had just drawn and nodded, saying: "You are indeed correct; I have previously heard the Vice President mention this in detail.

Those renowned Alchemist Masters at headquarters have all practiced their Blood Qi Pill Alchemy proficiency to Consummation, relying on their profound foundation in Alchemy and countless hours of study.

Even so, for every furnace of Blood Qi Pills they refine, the probability of producing a Top-grade one is exactly thirty percent."

The room suddenly fell into silence once again.

"Brother Lu, you... you are truly too amazing." Song Tian held it in for a long while before he could arduously squeeze these few words out of his throat.

He had lived for so many years, and for the first time in his life, he felt that the vocabulary he had accumulated in his mind was so lacking at this moment, completely insufficient to describe Lu Yu's excellence.

He racked his brains and searched his gut, yet he simply could not find an appropriate word to accurately depict the astonishing talent Lu Yu had displayed in Alchemy.

"President, speaking of which, I was just lucky, like a blind cat bumping into a dead mouse." Lu Yu said with a smile, "At the time, a flash of inspiration suddenly struck my mind, so I tried it with the mindset of giving it a go. I didn't expect it to actually succeed."

"Even if it was just a flash of inspiration, one must have sufficient foundation to pull it off." Qi Heng's voice rang out at the right moment.

"You must know that for you to be able to raise your Alchemy proficiency to Consummation in just a few days, this talent is unique and unmatched, not just in our Nanshan District, but even if placed at headquarters.

Headquarters gathers many Alchemy experts from all over the world, but someone like you who can reach this realm in such a short time is truly a rare phoenix feather or unicorn horn."

"Indeed." Zhang Xue, standing to the side, also had a strange light flickering in her eyes as she echoed with deep feeling.

Those Alchemist Masters at headquarters were already famous in the field of Alchemy, and their Blood Qi Pill Alchemy had long since reached the state of Consummation.

In order to increase the probability of Top-grade Blood Qi Pills appearing, they had also spent a vast amount of time and energy attempting to improve the Prescription.

However, despite their many efforts, they all returned empty-handed in the end, failing to achieve any substantive breakthrough.

Yet, this young Martial Artist before them had done it.

One had to admit that there truly exists a huge difference between people, and it cannot be generalized.

"The two seniors are too kind with their praise." Lu Yu responded modestly.

Although he knew in his heart that this was indeed remarkable, the necessary modesty was still indispensable.

Just as he was about to say that the assessment could begin, Qi Heng's voice came again.

"Brother Lu, I wonder if you could refine one or two more furnaces of Pills?"

"Alright." Lu Yu thought for a moment and roughly guessed Qi Heng's intention.

Presumably, Qi Heng wanted to verify the authenticity and effectiveness of the improved Prescription by witnessing the Alchemy process with his own eyes again.

After all, for such a major matter, being cautious was only human nature.

Moreover, for Lu Yu, he would have to refine Pills sooner or later anyway, so refining a few more furnaces would not have much of an impact.

Thus, Lu Yu threw himself into Alchemy again, and before long, the second furnace of Pills was successfully produced.

The Pills were steaming hot, and without exception, they were all Top-grade Blood Qi Pills.

The pupils of Qi Heng, Zhang Xue, and Song Tian all dilated simultaneously, although they were not as shocked as the first time.

Immediately following, the third furnace of Pills was also completed.

It was still all Top-grade Blood Qi Pills without exception.

This time, a brilliant smile bloomed on Song Tian's face.

Qi Heng and Zhang Xue looked at each other, seeing approval in the other's eyes, and both nodded slightly.

"Brother Lu, President Song, please wait here for a moment; Zhang Xue and I will step out."

"Understood." Song Tian responded hurriedly.

Watching the two leave, Song Tian looked at Lu Yu, his eyes filled with both joy and a hint of reluctance.

If he guessed correctly, Senior Qi taking Zhang Xue out must be to call headquarters and report this astonishing news that was enough to shake the entire Association.

They came as two people, but when they left, they would likely have to take Lu Yu with them, becoming three people.

Thinking of this, Song Tian could not help but feel a complex mix of emotions.

Qi Heng took Zhang Xue to a corner, took a deep breath, and said: "This young man is not simple. In my opinion, his talent in Alchemy can be mentioned in the same breath as Xiao Zhan's talent in the Martial Dao."

"Indeed." Zhang Xue expressed her deep agreement with this.

Xiao Zhan was that True Essence Realm Martial Artist born with eight meridians fully opened.

Now, another such Alchemy genius had appeared; it was truly a great blessing for the Association.

"Brother Qi, you pulled me out, presumably to report this matter to headquarters."

"That's right. You and I came together to carry out the mission; such a major matter must naturally be reported together so that headquarters will believe it more. After all, this is no small matter; it concerns the future development of the Association."

"Understood, Brother Qi, you report it; I will explain the situation truthfully." Zhang Xue said hurriedly.

Qi Heng took out his phone and dialed the Vice President's number.

Very quickly, the call was connected.

"Qi Heng?" A steady, middle-aged man's voice came from the other end of the line.

"It is me, President Kong." Qi Heng immediately straightened his posture and said in a respectful tone.

This Vice President Kong is named Kong Ming; he is one of the two highly respected Vice Presidents of the Association, possesses the solid strength of a True Essence Realm Martial Artist, holds a prestigious position within the Association, and is deeply admired by all.
