Chapter 307: The Effects of the Cloud Jade Fruit

"So, one Cloud Jade Fruit can be consumed by at most eight people?" After reading the manual, Lu Yu reached this conclusion.

He followed the password provided in the email and entered it into the combination lock.

With a soft "click," the box opened.

A fist-sized yellow fruit lay quietly in the box; its shape was somewhat like an apple, yet it also carried the appearance of a pear. A faint, refreshing fragrance wafted over, making one feel relaxed and happy upon smelling it.

"This is the legendary Cloud Jade Fruit that can increase a Martial Artist's True Qi." Lu Yu couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva.

This was something he had spent 20,000 points to exchange for! One had to know that even for an Elite-level Fierce Beast, the Martial Arts Association's purchase price was only a little over 10 million, which, when converted into Awakened Association points, was only 1,000 points.

Yet this single Cloud Jade Fruit was worth as much as twenty ordinary Elite-level Fierce Beasts!

"I wonder how much True Qi this fruit can increase." While muttering to himself, Lu Yu took out the fruit and bit into it impatiently.

Instantly, juice burst forth from the flesh, and a sweet taste permeated his mouth and teeth.

Lu Yu's eyes lit up immediately; the taste of this fruit was simply better than he had imagined.

Just at this moment, he keenly sensed that the True Qi within his meridians was undergoing a marvelous change.

First, a few wisps appeared faintly, then they gathered into one stream, and subsequently, several more streams and over a dozen streams of True Qi surged forth continuously.

Lu Yu widened his eyes, his gaze filled with excitement. With just this one bite, the True Qi in his body had actually increased by over a dozen streams, which calculated to at least over 100 points of True Qi!

Even after subtracting the extra bonus from his cultivation method, the increased Origin True Qi was at least several dozen points.

After he realized this, he ate bite after bite, and in just a few seconds, he had eaten the entire fruit, leaving only the pit.

At the same time, the True Qi within his body continued to increase steadily.

After nearly a minute, the growth of the True Qi finally subsided.

【Origin True Qi increased by 56 points】

【Origin True Qi increased by 49 points】

【Origin True Qi increased by 65 points】

……

A series of messages kept appearing in his mind. Lu Yu quickly calculated, and the Origin True Qi increased this time was actually close to 1,000 points!

To verify, he hurriedly looked at the panel.

True Qi: 4584/3056

Sure enough, the total amount of Origin True Qi had jumped from the previous 2,140 points to 3,056 points, an increase of nearly 1,000 points. And the total True Qi had reached 4,500 points.

"I didn't expect that a single fruit could increase so much True Qi, and it's Origin True Qi at that. Calculating it, it's worth as much as opening up one meridian. These 20,000 points were well spent." Lu Yu was so excited he could hardly contain himself.

If he still had points on hand right now, he would definitely continue to purchase Cloud Jade Fruits without hesitation.

Of course, he also knew that this kind of fruit, like other similar items, had diminishing returns.

The first fruit consumed had the most significant effect, and each subsequent fruit consumed would have a gradually weakening effect until it had no effect at all.

However, for Lu Yu at the moment, it was not yet time to consider these things.

Even if the effect after consuming the second fruit was only half of the first, allowing him to increase 500 points of Origin True Qi, he felt it was completely acceptable.

By the third and fourth fruit, even if they could only increase 250 points or 125 points of Origin True Qi, they were all within his acceptable range.

Because theoretically speaking, as long as he learned enough cultivation methods and the extra bonus ratio of his True Qi was high enough, even 100 points of Origin True Qi could become 1,000 points of True Qi value through cultivation method bonuses!

"It's time to go record the alchemy video. Once the email is sent, I'll continue training Basic Martial Arts."

Lu Yu packed up his bag, put it into his Space Item, and then walked toward the door.

Without a sparring partner, movement techniques were relatively easy to practice, but the improvement of hand-to-hand combat was much slower.

However, it was not without alternative methods. During his last practice, he discovered that performing hand-to-hand combat under heavy load would also significantly accelerate the improvement speed of the corresponding Basic Martial Arts.

Although it certainly couldn't compare to the speed of improvement from actual combat, it was still an effective method.

More importantly, he still had two unused opportunities to use the Gravity Training Room.

With this added assistance, the improvement speed of his Basic Martial Arts would surely be much faster.

……

The next morning, as the morning light just spilled into the room through the gaps in the window, Lu Yu rose early, skillfully strapped on his Arrow Quiver, held his bow and arrows, and prepared to go out to hunt Fierce Beasts.

When he pushed open the door, he saw Kang Yuan and the others standing not far away, casting glances toward him from time to time.

Seeing the door open and Lu Yu appear in this hunting attire, everyone was slightly stunned, then hurriedly and enthusiastically walked up to him.

"Brother Lu, are you planning to go out?" one of them asked first.

"That's right." A faint smile appeared on Lu Yu's face as he nodded in response.

"Setting off so early, Brother Lu is truly diligent." As soon as the words fell, the few of them looked at each other, their expressions revealing a bit of embarrassment.

"Are you looking for me for something?" Lu Yu had already vaguely guessed a bit in his heart.

The group immediately showed awkward expressions, and their gazes eventually converged on the only female in the team—Jiang Yao.

"Why are you all looking at me?" Jiang Yao felt helpless, but meeting Lu Yu's gaze, she could only bite the bullet and say, "Yes, yes, Brother Lu, the President said that if we provide the materials, you can help us refine Top-grade Blood Qi Pills, is that right?"

"That's right. Have you prepared the medicinal herbs?" Lu Yu asked with a smile.

"Prepared, Brother Lu. According to what you said before, one bottle of Top-grade Blood Qi Pills is worth one million, equivalent to 50 portions of medicinal herbs. This time it was sudden, so we have only gathered 100 portions of herbs on hand for now, and we would like to ask Brother Lu to help us refine two batches today," Kang Yuan said hurriedly.

"Yes, yes, more medicinal herbs are still on the way, about 500 portions or so. In the future, we will have to ask for your help, Brother Lu."

The others also chimed in with smiles, yet behind their smiles, their hearts were actually aching.

500 portions of Blood Qi Pill herbs! Calculated at 20,000 per portion, that was 10 million!

Even if purchased from the Association at a 10% discount, it would still require 9 million Contribution Points.

If it weren't for the fact that there were many of them, they really wouldn't have been able to gather so much.

But then again, this money wasn't something just anyone could spend, especially for Martial Artists in large cities.

"No problem." Lu Yu agreed without hesitation.

The group looked at each other and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

After all, according to the President, this matter was originally proposed by Lu Yu himself, so now that they had come to his door, it was naturally unlikely they would be refused.

"Brother Lu, we didn't know you were going out to hunt. How about this: when you return, we will have the medicinal ingredients delivered to you," Chang Lei suggested.

"Yes, yes."

"Brother Lu, you must be careful."

"I heard that the people from the Heart Merchant Association, especially that Qin Ye, still haven't returned. If you go out now, you are very likely to run into them head-on."

Because Song Tian had not mentioned Lu Yu's breakthrough, the group was unaware of it at this moment.

"There is no need for such trouble." Lu Yu shook his head lightly, reached into his pocket, and took out two bottles.

"This, what is this?"

"Could it be Top-grade Blood Qi Pill?" The few of them exclaimed in surprise in unison.

"Mm." Lu Yu nodded with a smile and said, "These two bottles both contain Top-grade Blood Qi Pill, with ten pills in each bottle. If you are worried, you can check them on the spot."

"No, no need, Brother Lu. You are being too formal by saying that; how could we not trust you?"

"Exactly, exactly, how could Brother Lu lie to us?"

"No need to check, we trust you." The few of them spoke one after another.

"Fine." Lu Yu smiled and handed the two bottles of Top-grade Blood Qi Pill in his hand to Chang Lei, saying, "Brother Chang, I will come to you for the 100 portions of medicinal ingredients when I return."

"Good, good, we will give them to you together with the 500 portions from this afternoon," Chang Lei replied hurriedly.

"Mm, then that is all for now, I am leaving." Lu Yu waved at them and turned to walk toward the elevator entrance.

Kang Yuan and the others watched as Lu Yu walked into the elevator; the elevator doors slowly closed, and with the slight vibration of the elevator descending, their gazes immediately focused on the two bottles in Chang Lei's hands.
