Chapter 300: I Am Not Bowing to Him!

In late April, the *Pirates of the Caribbean* series set sail again, holding a startup ceremony in Los Angeles. They didn't run outside right away, but first shot various interior scenes at the studio base in Los Angeles, such as the interior scenes of the Black Pearl and the other ship, the Flying Dutchman.

The film had been shooting for a week, but it was not very smooth.

At this time, Wu Yuchen was sitting face-to-face with Depp's agent, Fat Jack, again, and beside him was Depp, who looked a little listless. He had just finished removing his makeup.

Wu Yuchen looked at Depp with a serious face: "Depp, don't you have anything to say?"

Depp didn't speak, and his agent, Fat Jack, smiled at Wu Yuchen: "Hey, Wu, don't be so nervous. I think this should just be a small episode."

As he spoke, he pinched his right thumb and index finger together to indicate, as if this was really a trivial matter.

"A small episode? He made our whole crew wait for 2 hours, he delayed the shooting progress of the entire crew alone, you call this a small episode?!" Wu Yuchen's voice became louder and louder, and anyone could hear his anger.

Seeing Wu Yuchen's angry appearance, Fat Jack also pressed his hands gently on his chest at the right time: "Cool down~ Wu, Johnny didn't mean it. You also know that everyone has times when they get drunk..."

Wu Yuchen pointed directly at him: "I allow Depp to drink, but not to let the whole crew wait for him like this! Alcohol brought him happiness, but the mood of our whole crew is very bad! The progress of the entire crew has been dragged down by him!"

A month ago, Wu Yuchen settled the contract negotiations with Depp before leaving. Depp's side finally agreed to the salary offer given by the producer, but Depp himself insisted on a privilege in the contract, that is, he must be allowed to drink during the shooting.

He naturally had his reasons, because alcohol could keep his mood happy, which would be helpful for him to play the role of Jack Sparrow. If this point was not agreed, he would definitely not sign the contract.

Finally, after Wu Yuchen had a conversation with Spielberg, he agreed to Depp's request. After all, the *Pirates of the Caribbean* project could not be delayed any longer.

And the current Depp was no longer the second-line star before shooting *Pirates of the Caribbean*. As a first-line star, he naturally put forward many privileges in the crew, such as when he missed his pet dog, the crew must be able to pick up his dog at any time. At the same time, the crew had to bear all the expenses of his pet dog and the pet dog's nanny. There were quite a few such clauses listed in the contract.

In Hollywood, when a star is promoted to the first line, many people will revolve around him, especially when his status in the crew becomes pivotal, he can enjoy many privileges, and everyone is already accustomed to this. There are even many stars who take drugs in the crew, and the crew has to help cover it up.

In fact, Wu Yuchen didn't care about these privileges of Depp. It didn't matter if he spent a little more money, as long as he could play the role of Jack Sparrow well. But now, the situation was contrary to his wishes...

Depp was sprayed by Wu Yuchen for a while, and he couldn't stand it anymore. He said loudly to Wu Yuchen: "This was just an accident, why are you so entangled? Are you using this to show me your authority?"

Wu Yuchen couldn't help but laugh angrily when he heard this: "Accident? Fuck! You haven't been in the crew for less than a week, and you have this kind of accident. How many more such accidents will you have in the future? Once a week? Or once every 5 days? Do you want us to customize a wine vat for you to take a bath in it every day?"

Facing Wu Yuchen's mockery, Depp's face turned red: "Enough! I don't need you to blame me! You also have no right to blame me. I want to drink if I want to drink. All this is written in black and white in the contract; it is my freedom!"

Wu Yuchen slapped the table hard and cursed: "Go to your mother's freedom! Go to your mother's alcohol! Go to your mother's dog! Go to your mother's privilege!

Depp, listen! All the rights you enjoy now are based on your ability to shoot well in the crew! Look at what kind of dog shit you shot today? Do you still have the face to mention these rights you enjoy?

So many of us gathered together, not to be your nanny, serving a drunk baby! If you can't shoot well, I guarantee I will kick you out of the crew!"

Depp stiffened his neck, raised his hand directly, and shouted at Wu Yuchen: "Suit yourself, you tyrant!"

After speaking, Depp walked away angrily.

Depp left, but his agent, Fat Jack, didn't leave. Depp could be willful and lose his temper, but he couldn't; he had to help Depp clean up the mess.

Wu Yuchen narrowed his eyes at Depp's back and said directly to his agent: "Jack, go call your lawyer!"

Fat Jack was stunned when he heard this, and then his body trembled. He hurriedly stepped in front of Wu Yuchen and said: "Wu, there's no need to go to this step, right? This was just an ordinary quarrel, and you were just saying angry words just now~"

Wu Yuchen hummed and said coldly: "Angry words? Do you think I am scaring you?"

Then he stared at Fat Jack and said: "You don't realize the seriousness of the matter at all! Today's incident did not infringe on my interests alone, but the interests of the entire crew! Everyone waited for a full two hours because of Depp's lateness! He also shot a pile of dog shit! This not only means that we worked in vain for a whole day, but it will also delay everyone's plan!

Is Depp the only star in the crew? Do you know that Hugh Jackman is going to attend the premiere and promotion of *X2* in two weeks? If we don't finish shooting now, we will have to wait until Hugh finishes his schedule and comes back before we can shoot. The entire crew will be stranded in Los Angeles because of this. Other location scenes are waiting for us. Can you be responsible for all the expenses? And the precious time delayed, can our crew afford to wait?"

"I will not allow a giant baby who only considers himself and ignores others' feelings to stay in the crew!"

After Wu Yuchen finished speaking, he turned to leave, but was stopped by Fat Jack. He knew that this was indeed Depp's mistake, so he hurriedly apologized to Wu Yuchen: "Wu Dao, I know Johnny caused a lot of trouble for the crew this time, but he really didn't mean it! I guarantee he won't have a next time!"

"Guarantee?"

Wu Yuchen sneered upon hearing this and then said: "Jack, your guarantee is useless."

Fat Jack looked at Wu Yuchen and asked: "Wu Dao, then what do you want?"

Wu Yuchen said faintly: "Apologize."

Fat Jack's face changed when he heard this: "Wu Dao, this... I know Johnny offended you, but I think you can reach a reconciliation, right?"

As Depp's agent, he knew Depp's temper very well and knew that it was almost impossible to make him apologize to Wu Yuchen, who had scolded him angrily. This was more uncomfortable than killing him.

Wu Yuchen shook his head: "Not to me, but to the entire crew!"

Fat Jack was silent for a moment: "Must it be so?"

"If he wants to stay in the crew, he must do so!" Wu Yuchen said and didn't stay any longer, stepping away.

Fat Jack rubbed his temples painfully. After sighing, he soon moved his fat body and ran after Wu Yuchen: "Wu Dao, give me 3 days, and I will persuade Johnny."

Wu Yuchen looked at Fat Jack's face for a few seconds and then nodded.

Fat Jack looked at Wu Yuchen's departing back, knowing that he couldn't handle this matter alone, so he picked up the phone and dialed Depp's wife Vanessa's phone. He needed her to come over, and she had to bring Depp's daughter Lily with her.

Two days later, accompanied by his wife and daughter, Depp had completely turned into a good father, and the whole person was peaceful, and he hadn't touched a drop of alcohol for these two days.

Looking at Depp like this, Fat Jack smiled, and then had a separate conversation with Depp.

"Apologize? This is impossible. I will never bow to a tyrant!"

After hearing the agent's words, Depp refused decisively.

Fat Jack said gently: "Hey, Johnny, no one asked you to bow to anyone, nor did they ask you to apologize to Wu, but to apologize to the entire crew. These are two different things, completely different things, do you understand?"

Depp emphasized again: "I can drink; we wrote it in the contract! This is the right they gave me!"

"Yes, Johnny, you can drink; no one blames you for being wrong to drink!

The point of the problem is not this, but that you delayed everyone's time, you were late, and your performance that day was also very bad, making everyone's hard work go to waste. I think you should not deny this point?"

Depp didn't refute. He was dizzy from drinking too much that day, and it was naturally terrible.

Fat Jack continued to say to Depp: "Johnny, if you insist, I will definitely stand on your side. We can sue the crew, and we can even get a large amount of liquidated damages."

However, he then spread his hands and said: "But to be honest, if we really do this, we will fall into a very unfavorable situation. Your image will be completely destroyed, no Hollywood big production will be willing to use you again, you will also become a rotten drunkard in the public's mouth, and your career will also suffer a serious blow..."

Depp frowned upon hearing this. He knew that if he really did this, this situation was very likely to happen. No investor would use someone who caused big trouble for the crew again.

Fat Jack hugged Depp's shoulder with his fat hand:

"I know you have never cared about other people's views, but you don't want Lily to hear all the bad things about her father from others in the future, right?"

Depp turned his head to look at his 3-year-old daughter, who was happily playing with a Jack Sparrow toy.

Career, family, daughter's growth... Depp fell into thinking.

Fat Jack knew that Depp had actually been persuaded by him, but he was like a stubborn big boy and couldn't let go of this face. He had to push him again.

"Johnny, you are not bowing to Wu alone, but apologizing to the entire crew. This doesn't mean you are bowing and yielding; on the contrary, holding your head high and having the courage to admit your mistakes is a real man!"

A moment later, Depp finally responded: "Jack, just like you said, I am not bowing to anyone; I am just taking responsibility for my own behavior!"

Hearing Depp say this, Fat Jack smiled. He knew that Depp had already agreed.

"I'm very sorry, because I drank too much, was late for a long time, and delayed everyone's work..."

At this time, the entire crew gathered together, and it was quiet. Everyone was looking at the male lead Depp who was apologizing to them.

To be honest, for Depp's alcoholism delaying two hours, most people didn't have much reaction. It wasn't that they didn't have thoughts, but they were already numb. It was just alcoholism; could it be more serious than taking drugs and going crazy?

He is a first-line big star and has such privileges, letting the whole crew wait for him. According to their past experience, this matter should be left unsettled. At most, the director and producer would talk to him, and then he would restrain himself and commit it again after a while.

But this time it was completely different. First, Depp didn't come to the crew for three days, which made everyone discuss, rumors flew, some said Wu Yuchen was going to fire him, some said he was using his privileges to squeeze Wu Yuchen, and some said the movie might not be able to be shot, in short, people's hearts were floating...

But unexpectedly, early this morning, Wu Yuchen called the entire crew together, and they actually saw the male lead Depp obediently apologizing to them!

In the crews they had experienced in the past, this was almost never seen before!

Regardless of what Depp thought, in the eyes of everyone in the crew, it was Wu Yuchen who suppressed Depp, making this male lead willing to obediently bow his head and admit his mistake to the entire crew!

However, no one would look down on Depp because of this. On the contrary, many people changed their views on him because of this. After all, a person who is willing to admit his mistakes will always harvest a lot of goodwill.

Wu Yuchen was naturally watching this scene, and Fat Jack beside him said to him: "Wu, are you satisfied?"

Wu Yuchen nodded, but said in his mouth: "It's not that I am satisfied, but that everyone is satisfied."

Then he turned his head and looked at Fat Jack and said: "This matter is over. I will not target Johnny. We gathered together to achieve a common goal. I want an efficient team to shoot an excellent movie."

The reason why Wu Yuchen was so tough this time was that he had to take advantage of the beginning of the crew to restrain the bad habits on Depp, otherwise, the shooting process for the next half a year, heaven knows how many moths would be made!

You know this guy is a guy who can make things happen. If he is not restrained, he will have a lot of trouble to worry about.

After this, Depp should restrain himself a lot, and his agent will also keep a close eye on him, and the entire crew will become more united and efficient. ===== CHAPTER 301 =====
