Chapter 267: Crossing the Five Prisons, Obtaining the Summoning Order
Xu Jia did not retreat so quickly this time; after all, he had to "Foundation Establish" these disciples, and secondly, he had to rely on Tongtian Temple to truly build up the San Francisco Blessed Land, or at least create a prototype.
The next day, all the disciples and grand-disciples, a vast crowd of several hundred people, had already gathered inside Tongtian Temple.
They said they had already received a set of Foundation Establishment methods taught by Xu Jia last time; after all, half a year had passed, and according to the Hundred Days Foundation Establishment, the first round had already passed, so there should be some effect, more or less.
Unfortunately, from what Xu Jia could see, there was not much difference from half a year ago—crooked melons and split dates, with cluttered minds, few capable of calming their hearts to gain wisdom.
Those with cultivation talent were too young to calm their hearts; those who could calm their hearts were older, basically suffering from impotence and premature ejaculation, in a mental state of having no desires or demands, waiting for the Hundred Days Foundation Establishment to restore their bodies, only to become restless again.
In other words, one must rely on a cheat, which is Xu Jia's Register method. That's right, Xu Jia intended to transmit a portion of the Daoist Citizen Register here first.
The formal Registers here are mostly ineffective; the effective ones are the private sect Registers, passed down by Ghost Gods.
Since Ghost Gods can pass them down, there is no reason why Xu Jia cannot.
As for desires, one can only rely on precepts and personal willpower; after all, Xu Jia cannot directly teach them the Sunflower Manual—"to practice this art, one must first castrate oneself"—to attain the "wondrous truth of life."
The second item is "chanting mantras." The mantras contain the true names of deities, and combined with the Taiping Sect's "Worshiping Spirits and Ingesting Qi" method, chanting provides faith to the deities, while the practitioner gains Sub-Qi... it is also a clumsy introductory skill.
Plus, Xu Jia let some people practice God Immortal methods, so wouldn't that be self-sufficient? "Ancestor, the millstone has already been air-freighted here."
Then he saw a large bluestone millstone landing in the temple courtyard.
"It's still an antique?"
"That's right, Ancestor, this is a millstone passed down from the Qing Dynasty, a full two hundred years old."
"Good stuff, it will be even more effortless to grind."
Xu Jia immediately channeled his power, blowing out a sheet of white paper, which folded itself into a paper donkey.
He harnessed it to the millstone, and it began to turn.
Xu Jia then placed the arm of the Demon God into the millstone to grind and extract.
What Xu Jia wanted to borrow was the "concept" of the millstone; the concept of the millstone originates from yin and yang, and is also heaven and earth, which has special meaning in Taoism.
The "conceptual rules" accumulated over two hundred years of use were enough to grind the arm of this Hannibal the Old Demon.
Whether it was bone or flesh, it was soon ground into blood plasma, black-red with a golden luster, carrying a faint, fishy stench, and the wailing souls inside all turned into fine powder.
Everyone swallowed their saliva.
A small wooden bucket, originally used for catching soy milk, caught this thick blood plasma.
Xu Jia nodded slightly: "The Demon God's Divine Nature talisman ink, although it carries the power of corruption, there is no need to remove it; what I want is the original flavor."
He then began to stir, and while stirring, he chanted the name of Hannibal the Old Demon, intending to steal Hannibal's Demon God origin.
On Hannibal's side, he only felt his power draining rapidly; countless wailing souls were detaching from his control, and vaguely, there were whispers more demonic than his own.
"It's him! When he sealed me in the jar back then, he learned part of my true name!"
The Old Demon knew this was a life-and-death struggle, so he immediately used his connections with the Cannibal Cult to mobilize the power of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Immigration Bureau.
It was also true that several hundred Chinese gathering together at Tongtian Temple had already made the local white people dissatisfied.
Although these disciples were not short of money, under racism, the American lower-class white people believed that it was the cheap Chinese labor force causing involution, making their quality of life worse. They did not know that it was the American decision-making layer that had abandoned them; the American citizen class only consisted of the middle class, and the middle class were the leeks of America, while the lower class was looked down upon and was a burden.
The American rich have a slogan, which is to eliminate those below the middle class... probably in the physical sense. In fact, they are doing just that: relief food, abused drugs, and unreliable happy education...
However, none of this mattered; Xu Jia had enough time to perform the ritual.
"Hannibal the Old Demon's Quanshen lies in slaughter, judgment, and gourmet food. Slaughter is his means, and judgment is his will; after all, he claims to only kill those who are heinous. This is similar to the Lushan Five Prisons Great Method. The Lushan Five Prisons Great Method has a shortcut: by killing evil people and using their internal organs to complete the ritual, one enters the Five Prisons trial, using the souls of those five people to suffer in the Five Prisons in one's stead, thereby obtaining the Summoning Order, exempting oneself from the Death Registry, and becoming a Ghost Immortal."
"So what I am going to draw on your bodies is the Five Prisons talisman diagram, corresponding to the Body Gods of your five internal organs. You only have four here, so we will count them according to Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. Earth takes the spleen-earth, Wind takes the lung-metal, and for the remaining one, liver-wood, I will replace it with the Divine Transformation of my own Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun statue, to help each of you pass through one prison's Demon God tribulation."
"Four people share one Summoning Order; this Summoning Order is your divine registry, the registry of the You Ming Ghost Gods. With this Immortal Register, you are human soul-summoning envoys, subduing the various Outer Path demons of America, maintaining the order of the Dharma Realm, starting from being an Earth Deity, then the City God."
Li Rentai looked excited, took off his upper garment, and came before Xu Jia; he wanted to be the first to obtain the qualification of a Ghost Immortal and Earth Deity. Xu Jia nodded slightly, then made a golden knife with his hand, cut open his stomach, and pulled the opening apart; fortunately, not a single drop of blood flowed, and he did not feel pain.
Xu Jia used the blood of the Demon God Hannibal to draw the Earth Pit Hell talisman diagram on the old man's spleen. Immediately, the old man began to feel pain, his lips turned pale, cold sweat flowed, and his eyes rolled back, but he could not struggle.
His soul had already fallen into the Earth Pit Hell. Similarly, the Demon God's Divine Nature of Hannibal the Old Demon was also eroding and changing his essence. However, he had eaten the roasted wings of the Holy Archangel, and the demon power and holy light power were resisting and neutralizing each other, preventing him from completely falling into becoming a lackey and follower of Hannibal the Old Demon.
The rest of the disciples felt horrified; this style did not look like the Righteous Path, but rather an Evil Path among the heterodox ways.
Next was Hu Daquan; Xu Jia cut his ribs, exposed his lungs, and carved the Mountain of Knives Hell talisman diagram onto them.
Zheng Yougui had his kidneys opened, and the Cold Ice Hell talisman diagram was drawn for him.
Then it was Li Jingxiu's turn; his chest was opened, and the Huohai Diyu talisman diagram was drawn on his heart.
Suddenly, the entire Daochang was filled with gloomy winds, and the evil nature of Hannibal the Old Demon was stimulated. However, the Heavenly Master roasted wings they had eaten, with their holy light power, protected their souls, though they were still being constantly worn down.
At the same time, the four great Hells did not show them any mercy, and they suffered all kinds of punishments within the Hells. The realistic perception made them fearful; if they hadn't had some Small Heavenly Circuit, or even Big Heavenly Circuit skills, they would likely have died on the spot.
After all, they themselves were not very clean either; how many sins they had, how many guilty things they had done, the four great Hells manifested them one by one.
It was just that Xu Jia was afraid they would move around, so he sealed their control over their physical bodies, leaving only their brains operating at full capacity.
Xu Jia did not immediately perform the Divine Transformation of Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun, nor did he break the prisons to rescue them and obtain the Summoning Order.
Instead, he continued to chant mantras, strengthening the bond between the four of them and Hannibal the Old Demon.
Under the demon-tainted Heavenly Dao of America, the Old Demon was already a Demon God with an immortal body; he could only be sealed, not killed, unless his power was devoured by another Demon God.
Xu Jia intended to dismember him, using the methods of the Mizang Yu, to bind a portion of him within each of these four people, and only the head would be sealed into the statue to perform the consecration... becoming the divine hub of the Tongtian Temple Daochang Blessed Land to suppress the Dharma Realm's spiritual acupoints, participating in the purification of the Dharma Realm...
Hannibal the Old Demon had eaten people his whole life; it was time for Cause and Effect reincarnation, to experience the feeling of being eaten clean.
The more Xu Jia chanted, the more anxious Hannibal the Old Demon became; an unknown fire rose up, and he wished he could fly over directly and give Xu Jia a slash.
But the reason he had left told him that going there would just be offering himself up; he could only wait for the Immigration Bureau to act, tear down his temple, and detain those Taoists, only then would he have a chance to topple the Dharma Altar and get Xu Jia's Golden Body.
As long as he ate the Golden Body, he would possess power surpassing the seventy-two Demon Gods!...
Xu Jia chanted for a long time, seeing that he had not cursed the Old Demon over, and he had not prepared the materials for the "Seven Arrows Book" to nail him to the spot and then go to collect him... and he was afraid that the souls of these four disciples would be worn away in the four prisons, so he sat in the middle, performed the Divine Transformation of Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun, and chanted the Prison-Breaking Mantra...
The next moment, a five-colored lion emerged from the Dharma Realm, followed by a second, a third, and a fourth.
These four five-colored lions burrowed into the four prisons, stepping on auspicious clouds, draped in Lingfeng, with red beads hanging between their brows; they were not very majestic, but rather somewhat cute.
Perhaps they were the grandson-lion disciples of "Jiuling Yuansheng"...
These four lions galloped all the way, and wherever they landed, there were precious-colored green lotuses. Soon, among the infinite prison ghosts, they found the souls of the disciples who had been tortured until they were almost unrecognizable, picked them up in their mouths, and galloped to the end of the Five Prisons.
At the end of that Hell, they saw a table, and on the table was a black document, which was the "Summoning Order."
The Judges of the Five Prisons are all examiners, but even they do not know how to make a judgment.
These four people were judged to have barely passed one prison each, and they also followed the lion across the Thorns Hell together... but there was only one official warrant.
Fortunately, the laws of the Underworld naturally allow for "special handling for special cases," and this five-colored lion is not something an ordinary person can summon; Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun is a big shot in the Heavenly Court and one of the highest leaders of the Underworld, so he just turned a blind eye to it.
This thick official warrant was split into four thin sheets using the technique of paper-dividing and driven into the bodies of these four people respectively.
The next moment, the trial of the Five Prisons vanished, and the four people's souls returned to their physical bodies, allowing them to move once again.
The Divine Nature and Quanshen contained within one of the arms of Hannibal the Old Demon were also distributed into the bodies of these four people.
"Ahhh~ it hurts so much..."
The first thing they said upon waking was to cry out in pain; after all, the Lushan Five Prisons are hardly a place for enjoyment, and with punishments inflicted upon their bodies, how could it not hurt?
