Chapter 449: Accepting Disciples

As for Xu Jia's cultivation techniques, the Inner Landscape Great Yellow Court Method goes without saying; it is a direct path to becoming a Heavenly Immortal. It is constantly refined and ever-new, varying from person to person, and one will always gain something regardless of how one cultivates it. This is the most important; its derivative system includes the "Lingbao Twenty-Four Tier Register," divided into six tiers of Human Immortal, six tiers of Earth Immortal, six tiers of Spirit Immortal, and six tiers of Heavenly Immortal. Later, while in America, Xu Jia derived the "six tiers of Ghost Immortal," so there are a total of thirty tiers of Register Methods, encompassing the five Immortals: Heaven, Earth, Human, Spirit, and Ghost.

Aside from the five major Register Tiers, there are also Functional Registers, Outer Registers, and the Daoist Citizen Register, Daoist Soldier Register, and Immortal Martial Register evolved by Xu Jia... There are no fewer than a hundred types, covering the entire universe, and one can even sign alliances with the gods of the Desire Realm, Form Realm, Formless Realm, and the Three Heavens.

The fourth type of inheritance is the Yellow Heaven Lineage. It did not require Xu Jia to actively collect it; it came to him on its own. This path belongs to the "Incense Divine Path combined with the Innate Divine Dao," primarily promoting the world's ascension, maintaining the divine rule of the world, and advocating for the peaceful coexistence of humans, gods, demons, and Immortals, with each bearing a portion of responsibilities and obligations... Nowadays, this lineage of the Dutian Liehuo Zushi, also known as the Huashan Lineage, is actually the least respectable among the many lineages.

Xu Jia does not think much of it. Even the Fire Department Red Book, which represents the inheritance of the Fire Virtue deities of the Heavenly Court, does not have as much prestige in Xu Jia's eyes as the Yellow Heaven Sect inheritance.

Therefore, Xu Jia did not practice favoritism or try to claim it for himself. Instead, with his high standards, he discovered that the "Dutian Qianyang Liehuo True Scripture" of the Dutian Liehuo Zushi still held traces of heterodox and deviant sword paths.

Xu Jia said: "Your sword technique is passable, but your cultivation is average. It is evident that the Shushan Sect only collected the Huashan Sword Technique from the Huashan Sect. From now on, learn the Purple Cloud True Qi from your senior brother, Duan Ziyu. Just learn the Daoist method for refining the Fire Crow Pot; it can hold wine and release Fire Crows, using wine to aid the fire, which may have other meanings." "Huang Yi, the technique you cultivate is also an orthodox Daoist one; it is the Daoist method of Louguantai, which can cast a Dao foundation, build a Dao platform, erect temples, and nourish Body Gods. It is a pity it is incomplete, but you can use my 'Inner Landscape Great Yellow Court' method to try to complete it. However, the Inner Landscape Great Yellow Court emphasizes Body Gods, while yours emphasizes temples. Although the Body God is a god, it is actually a type of Primordial Spirit. "I have a copy of the Yellow Heaven Sect's Daoist method here, which is a cultivation method of the Innate Divine Dao. It can create the Spirit Veins of heaven and earth and prove the foundation of a naturally born deity. I will give it to you, though it cannot be counted as my Lingbao lineage; it should belong to the Yuanshi lineage. Added to your original Louguantai, it belongs to the Taishang lineage... However, I will still pass you a Lingbao Daoist Citizen Register, hoping you can unify the three teachings."

Little did she know, Xu Jia said to Huo Can'er: "Huo Can'er, among the five, only you are suitable to take over the mantle of the Dutian Liehuo Zushi. I will accept you as a Huashan True Transmission Disciple on behalf of the Dutian Liehuo Zushi to continue this lineage. This 'Dutian Qianyang Liehuo True Scripture' Heavenly Immortal Great Method, along with the four pages of golden books, will all be passed to you, and you shall keep them. This Qian Heaven Yang Fire Pearl can be used to entrust a second Primordial Spirit; it was personally refined by the Liehuo Zushi, and I grant it to you as a treasure. I know you want to transform from a Fire Silkworm into a Fire Dragon; this pearl can also serve as a Dragon Pearl to help you be reborn."

"Can I not take you as my master?"

Xu Jia thought to himself: I have already intercepted four of the five; I must leave a seed for the Dutian Liehuo Zushi so that when we meet in the future, I can give an account, and it is not like I have completely dug out the foundation of your Huashan Sect.

As for the local heterodox practitioners of Huashan, the three who cultivated the Huashan Daoist techniques were told by Xu Jia to be accepted as disciples by Duan Ziyu—as his disciples' disciples, or grand-disciples. He also passed them the Lingbao Daoist Citizen Register method and had them switch to cultivating the Purple Cloud True Qi.

For the two Earth Immortal-level heterodox sword immortals who cultivated the Fire Method of the Dutian Liehuo Zushi, Xu Jia had Huo Can'er accept them as disciples.

As for those who were intercepted at the second barrier, they were all accepted as Outer Disciples of the Huashan Sect and registered under these two heterodox Earth Immortals.

"Thirdly, at the foot of the mountain and in the surrounding areas, establish a Huashan Daoist Academy in every county, stationed by disciples for a term of three years. Firstly, to select disciples; secondly, to maintain the reputation of our Huashan; and thirdly, to serve as an academy to teach people to read and write, and to educate the masses."
