Chapter 470: Leave of Absence
Leave of Absence
Leave of Absence
I am lost. Before the new year, I planned to finish the story quickly, as I felt writing it had become quite a torment. It is my own problem; what I write has increasingly strayed from my original intent. I originally wanted to tell a good story, and I did tell a few stories earnestly at the beginning, but later on, it became more and more hollow. I don't even know what I am writing anymore. I am quite disappointed in myself. Why does this problem appear in several of my books? Every time I want to change it, I repeat the same mistake. Now, the more I write, the less confident I feel.
Can I still write a good story?
Can I still write brilliant content? Regarding the two months I spent slacking off before, I also feel my mindset drifted, but in reality, there was no Achievement at all.
When I deleted the reader group, I just felt like I had gone into a state of Madness; my mental state was worrying, and readers often asked if someone else had taken over the writing.
The main thing was changing the name. At the time, I felt the original one didn't attract enough traffic, so I changed it, which led to an even more direct cancellation, but I just kept slacking off and didn't want to change it back, as if it were already rotten enough.
Perhaps my talent has truly dried up, and I have no inspiration left. Or perhaps I haven't recharged enough.
Actually, I still love writing quite a bit, and I also like reading comments. The first thing I do when I wake up every day is check the comments. If there are many, I feel satisfied; if there are few, I feel very dejected.
I will continue to update tomorrow, but in all likelihood, I will not write the content after the Form Realm arc.
This book contains too much personal musing. My editor has also said that no one likes to read personal baggage; life in reality is already difficult enough, and people read books to find entertainment.
I think that is correct; after all, I rely on this for a living. Perhaps compared to outputting content, outputting personal baggage is more self-indulgent. Regardless of how it looks to the readers, I am the first to feel satisfied.
In the end, I am not actually that dissatisfied with reality. It is highly probable that I am just an idiot.
I still hope everyone can enjoy reading the book. I also want to be able to write happily and output high-quality, long-form works, instead of the heap of literary trash I have now, stitching together the corpses of various other novels (whenever I don't know how to advance the plot, I open a new world map; in fact, I never intended to write a multiverse story, and I didn't even want to write about America).
It is also not good to learn from Japan, where an apology and a bow are the end of it. Everyone should scold me if they want to, and criticize me if they want to.
Thank you.
