Chapter 65: The Yushan Wulong Xian Sheng Dadi

~9 min read 1,649 words

The two little ghosts, Guangmu and Duowen, were both strange creatures.

One was a palm-sized little person with two snail eyes that could stretch, retract, and rotate freely. The other was a palm-sized little person with ears as large as palm-leaf fans.

Duowen's two ears flapped and fluttered, and he could even fly.

The Mountain of Knives Hell Military Officials controlled by Xu Jia marched along, and wherever they went, they startled the beasts in the mountains, frightened the birds in the forests, and left the ants not daring to move and the flies unable to flap their wings.

Xu Jia observed the Qi from atop the Jiuchong Lei Dengtiantan; the Yushan was covered in a layer of evil aura, with black Qi looming thick. Under such concealment, the evil aura of the evil Daoist was not very obvious, so he could only wait for the two little ghosts to take the lead.

However, Xu Jia was knowledgeable and experienced, and he recognized the situation of the evil aura surrounding Yushan.

Back when the Ancestral Heavenly Master set up an altar on Qingcheng Mountain to sweep away the various demon kings and evil gods in Shu, it was described as follows: "Seeing black Qi surging, rushing straight into the heavens, the Liutian Mowan and the Eight Divisions of Ghost Marshals spread plagues and evil, poisoning all living things..."

Later, after Xu Jia went to America to establish a sect, he could basically determine what the likes of the Liutian Mowan and the Eight Divisions of Ghost Marshals were: they were blood-sacrificing evil gods that did not respect the changes of the world. Or, one could say they were Demon Gods of "terrorist proselytizing."

During the time of ancient tribes, it was very common to bury captives alive to sacrifice to ancestors, the heavens, and earthly deities.

But as civilization developed later, it turned into using figurines to replace humans, and even paper-effigies were developed; bloody sacrifices were completely banned, and there was even a set of "Heavenly Regulations" and "Earthly Laws" to restrain these ghosts and gods, just like an emperor of a human dynasty restraining his subjects and the common people.

Therefore, the Heavenly Court has the "Haotian Shangdi," and the underworld has the "Fengdu Dadi."

They establish the order of gods and ghosts.

If one follows the mythological chronology, this special rectification campaign likely began when Zhuanxu cut the communication between heaven and earth.

Most of the evil gods worshipped in the evil sect dens that Xu Jia destroyed at his Dharma Altar in San Francisco were of this type of civilizational regression, practicing terrorist doctrines of blood-sacrificing women and children, and "sharing the meat" as if having a feast with the gods, believing it brought them closer to the deities and made it easier to obtain "blessings."

In essence, it was actually about manipulating human nature and subverting order through drug abuse, group orgies, and step-by-step control and coercion via secret scandals.

The most famous of these is "Satanism."

The evil aura seen at Yushan today is less than what was in America, but the changes in the evil aura suggest it has the potential to become like that.

The mountain range is faintly coming to life; this is not the mountain body itself, but the spirit of the mountain, like the Luejue Shen. However, Yushan is more massive, and the spirit of Yushan achieved godhood long ago, constraining itself into a human form. But now, the human form can no longer contain it, and it is gradually transforming into its "original form."

The likes of Mountain Gods have been gloomy and terrifying since ancient times.

As Xu Jia's thoughts contemplated the Dharma Realm, the Mountain God he saw looked like a giant centipede with a dragon's head. On the dragon's head was an aged human face with gray whiskers and green eyebrows, and black Qi was emerging from its seven orifices.

It twisted in pain, and one could faintly see that it was an Incense Burner suppressing its waist, with three sticks of incense inserted into the burner, which were actually three mountain peaks.

Seeing these three mountains, Xu Jia secretly thought: "These three mountains faintly have the appearance of the Three Pure Ones sitting together. If I can draw them to be my Daochang, practice here, and establish a sect, and with such a natural giant Incense Burner, perhaps I can widely collect the incense fire of the world and help me achieve Didao."

Just as Xu Jia was thinking, he suddenly saw a flash of clear light, followed by ripples, and a thin, hunched old Daoist appeared from within the clear light, gathering Qi into a form; it was clearly the appearance of a "Yin Spirit."

This Yin Spirit saw Xu Jia's Mountain of Knives Hell Military Officials, was shocked at first, and then turned and plunged into the mouth of that Mountain God.

The clear light cleansed the black Qi, but it also carried a sense of evil from blood sacrifice. However, the effect was immediate; the true form of the Mountain God in the Dharma Realm stopped twisting and seemed to settle down, and many places where evil aura was leaking also returned to a superficial state of clarity and peace.

"The Yushan Mountain God has a problem." Xu Jia saw it; the originally clear and peaceful Yushan was the true Yushan, and the current Yushan was an evil-fallen Yushan.

That Daoist just now used himself as a sacrifice, exhausting his cultivation and Daoist Practice to forcibly merge with the Yushan Mountain God, using his own heart to act on behalf of the Mountain God's will and suppress the eruption of the evil aura.

But Xu Jia felt this was not the best method; as the saying goes, blocking is not as good as dredging. This Daoist's cultivation had clearly reached the Great Heavenly Cycle, and he could even manifest a Yin Spirit. If he had some opportunity, he might be able to succeed in forming a Golden Core and barely rank among the Earth Immortal figures who reside in the world.

However, Xu Jia's target was not this Daoist; he just noted this matter and continued to search up and down.

The evil aura of Yushan itself had retracted, so the place where the evil Daoist was hiding could no longer be covered. With the two little ghosts, Guangmu and Duowen, leading the way, he quickly located the cave.

The Mountain of Knives Hell Military Officials swept through the wind and forest, and in an instant, they blocked the cave entrance.

The evil Daoist was practicing in the cave, having set up a "Cold Forest Hungry Ghost Altar." This altar could summon hungry ghosts from the desolate cold forest. Hungry ghosts are the most miserable and inhumane ghosts, constantly in a state of hunger. The cold forest is a snowy, freezing forest, cold and icy with howling winds. Once this altar is set up, the hungry ghosts surround the Dharma Altar, waiting for the "Master to bestow food," and are driven by him.

This Dharma Altar was originally meant to deliver the hungry ghosts of the Ten Directions, but the Longevity Sect used it to coerce hungry ghosts into doing things, tricking people into becoming slaves. If they wanted a bite of food, he could tear them apart and sell them; after all, if you don't do it, there are plenty of hungry ghosts who will. It truly damages Yinyuan!

These hungry ghosts were as thin as sticks, their bellies as large as drums, their throats as thin as needle tips, and they were naked, hunched before the altar like stray dogs with their tails tucked.

As soon as the Mountain of Knives Hell Yin Soldiers arrived, these hungry ghosts began to tremble. The evil Daoist opened his eyes from his meditation, his Yin Demon body's thoughts swept around the Dharma Altar, and he quickly discovered the Mountain of Knives Hell Military Officials, becoming instantly terrified!

Xu Jia saw this from the altar and slashed out a hand-blade through the air. In the Dharma Realm, it appeared as a black long blade descending from the Nine Heavens, heading straight for the evil Daoist's head.

The evil Daoist's hair stood on end, and his Yin Demon body also saw this blade, jumping up from the altar in a panic.

The Cold Forest Dharma Altar was struck by the blade and split into two!

Xu Jia sneered, but saw that the hungry ghosts of the cold forest, having lost the temptation of the altar, scattered directly, and the Mountain of Knives Hell Military Officials charged straight onto the altar.

There was originally a spirit tablet worshipped on the altar; looking closely, it read: "Longevity Sect Yushan Wulong Xian Sheng Dadi."

At this moment, the altar was destroyed, the military officials rushed up, kicked over the tablet, smashed the Incense Burner, tore off the command flags, and overturned his altar cloth.

For a moment, the ashes of the Incense Burner scattered everywhere, and a centipede dragon rushed out from the mist. This centipede dragon was three parts similar to the true form of the centipede dragon vein deity that Xu Jia had just seen suppressed by the three sticks of incense in the burner, but it was more wantonly evil and extremely angry, roaring with harsh, unpleasant screeches.

Seeing the altar destroyed, the evil Daoist's face, covered in wild hair, turned red with rage.

But he realized even more that someone was fighting him through the air, and it was a strike meant to kill, leaving him even more terrified.

One, two, three jars hidden in the cave were smashed by him, and a small black command flag was flicked from his sleeve into his palm; with a wave, various Yin Demons were summoned from the altar to protect him.
