Chapter 1: Some Settings

Some Settings

This novel is filled with countless fan rules, house rules, and second-hand setups; please do not obsess over them.

Level Settings:

Levels 1-5 (Unranked): Mortals.

Levels 6-10 (First Rank): Transcendents, Qi Refining

Levels 11-15 (Second Rank): Foundation Establishment

Levels 16-20 (Third Rank): False Golden Core

Levels 21-25 (Fourth Rank): Fate Legend, Golden Core

Level 21 is a transcendence, a qualitative transformation, with two paths.

Swallowing a single Golden Core, I finally know my fate is not ruled by heaven.

Fate flows like a river, a torrent—I am the Fate Legend, chosen by destiny.

Levels 26-30 (Fifth Rank): Nascent Soul

Levels 31-???: Soul Manifestation

As for what constitutes a Immortal, what constitutes a Deity.

Deities need no elaboration—those familiar with D&D understand.

In truth, a Golden Core is already a proto-Immortal, merely unascended.

If so, what is the difference between becoming an Immortal at level 21 versus level 30? Simply put: the higher the level, the stronger the Immortal.

This is why ancient texts describe some cultivators who do not revere deities, and even command them.

These cultivators have not yet become Immortals, but their levels are so high that even Immortals and Deities cannot defeat them.

Or, some ancient texts record weak Immortals slain by cultivators—this is the result of becoming an Immortal at too low a level.

For example, the Heavenly Troops in the Heavenly Court are such pitiful Immortals.

Any cultivator of profound cultivation fears none of these trash.

To be added.
