The multiverse is like a great wheel, with countless planes embedded upon it, while the Outlands lie on its reverse side, and the City of Sigils rests at its center.

Beyond the Outlands, in a place even more distant and unknown.

There exists a colossal being—no, calling it a being is not quite accurate.

It is Nature itself, it is Rule itself, it is the Dao.

Long ago, the fallen Wild Gods once organized a flight spanning the multiverse.

They walked through nothingness, unaware of how many years had passed.

Finally, they glimpsed a trace of surplus color.

It was a universe—a new multiverse.

A multiverse manifested upon a living being.

Each scale was a plane, each pattern a trajectory of all sentient life.

The moment the Wild Gods saw this multiverse, a concept arose in their minds—Dragon!

Even those Wild Gods who had never heard of this concept, or had heard of it before, now had it utterly renewed.

The Dragon is this multiverse!

No, the multiverse is this Dragon!

Its greatness, its supremacy, was inscribed within the primordial void.

Perhaps only the legendary Supreme Deity AO, and the Mistress of Pain, master of the City of Sigils, could rival it.

As for which was greater, which was supreme—

The puny Wild Gods could not tell, just as ants cannot discern the strength of humans.

The long-exiled Wild Gods, overcome with exhaustion, decided to settle here.

But their settlement was never simple; as outsiders deemed demonic, they would face challenges from Immortals.
