Chapter 22: A god-given opportunity slipped through the fingers! Sun Wei, you misled me!

~7 min read 1,358 words

"Clang—"

Time entered nine o'clock, the church became a safe zone, and the rest period started.

The atmosphere on the scene was eerily silent.

Everyone's eyes were focused on Number 14's sculpture.

The terrified expression before death was vivid and lifelike.

"He was expelled," Xiang Hao said heavily.

"Yeah, the possibility of him being the killer is very high," Yu Yue nodded.

"If the killer of Number 3 was him, then who killed Number 9?" the thin and small man asked.

"10 people voted for Number 14, but he only showed 9 votes, which means the Pelican or Falcon is still on the field," the fat man frowned.

Yu Yue stared at Sun Wei, "There is plenty of time to speak now, you can explain your movements in those 10 minutes, right?"

"I went to the bathroom, but didn't take a big dump," Sun Wei said.

"What do you mean? Then why did you go to the bathroom? Looking for shit?" Zhou Han jumped out and asked.

"Dodo, shut your mouth, listen to him," the fat man said impatiently.

"You motherfucker are the Dodo, I'm a good guy!" Zhou Han immediately jumped up.

Sun Wei pondered for a moment, glanced at Su Yang, and stopped talking.

Su Yang was inexplicable, "Why look at me? Does your diarrhea have anything to do with me?"

"I saw you coming out of the port in the red-light district, so I changed my mind temporarily and followed you to see where you were going," Sun Wei said.

Once these words were spoken, it was like a heavy bomb.

Everyone widened their eyes in surprise.

"Didn't I say so? You really are the murderer!" Zhou Han was extremely excited, his face flushed red.

"Impossible, he never left my sight!" Yu Yue was the first to deny it.

"You two are in the same gang, covering for each other!" Zhou Han insisted.

Yu Yue ignored him, treating Zhou Han as if he were barking.

Sun Wei pondered: "I also find it strange. I must have been faster running from the warehouse to the red-light district than Su Yang bypassing the wharf and coming out of the port."

"But I lost him not long after following, and then I heard the gunshot."

"That's not even a question, he must have a speed-up talent!" Zhou Han said loudly.

"Wharf?" Su Yang raised an eyebrow and looked at Number 2 Guo Bing, "I remember, you said you were cleaning the deck at the wharf the whole time and didn't go anywhere, right?"

"Yeah, didn't see anyone else either," Guo Bing nodded.

"Then why did Number 7 see you at the court door?" Su Yang asked with interest.

"She's lying," Guo Bing said firmly.

"Maybe I saw it wrong," Kong Feixue smiled apologetically.

The fat man looked at Sun Wei and asked: "Are you sure you saw Number 8 himself?"

"I'm sure," Sun Wei said seriously.

"Whoever has a gun, drag him out and shoot him!" Zhou Han yelled.

"Shut up!" Yu Yue stood up suddenly, looking unkind: "If you yell again, I'll kill you!"

Zhou Han saw this and hurriedly jumped behind Xiang Hao, shouting, "See that? He's ashamed and angry. Both wolves have been caught by me; he's panicked!"

Xiang Hao shook his head helplessly, grabbed Zhou Han's neck, covered his mouth, and said: "Could it be a Morphing Wolf?"

"There is such a possibility. The Werewolf turned into Su Yang's appearance to kill, wanting to frame him, after all, he has a gun, everyone knows that," the fat man nodded heavily.

"Mmm mmm..." Zhou Han struggled hard, but couldn't break free from the devil's claws.

"The possibility is very high. Maybe he knew there was a tail behind him, but pretended not to see it and continued killing, just to let Number 16 say it out at the meeting," the fat man agreed.

"Then why didn't you say it?" Su Yang was stunned.

Such a good opportunity, someone framed him for no reason.

It was simply a pie falling from the sky!

Sun Wei actually hid it until after the meeting ended.

A god-given opportunity, and he didn't say it?

"I was afraid that if I said it, they would vote you out," Sun Wei said shyly.

"I thank you," Su Yang forced a smile.

He was so depressed he almost vomited blood.

He wanted to be voted out.

This hard-won opportunity slipped right through his fingers.

Su Yang started laying out from the beginning, exposing that he had a gun just to let the Werewolves find a way to frame him.

Now it was good, the opportunity was not only gone, but it also solidified his good guy identity.

"No, Morphing Wolf has a prerequisite condition. He needs to have physical contact with the person being morphed. I remember, no one touched you, right?" the fat man found the wrong place.

Su Yang recalled and shook his head: "Except for Yu Yue, no one has had physical contact with me."

"Then it's impossible to be a Morphing Wolf," the fat man said.

Zhou Han finally broke free from Xiang Hao's restraint, flushed red: "Where did the Morphing Wolf come from, you are the wolf!"

"Tie him up," Su Yang couldn't take this silly bird anymore.

How did he survive the first round of death games with his brain?

Did he play with old men and old ladies who were about to die?

Or were they all a group of morons?

"Let's see who dares?!" Zhou Han jumped back, extremely vigilant.

"Analyzing like this won't yield results. Let's sleep tonight, and talk about anything tomorrow," Yu Yue said.

Everyone nodded in agreement. It was late, and they hadn't eaten all day; hunger + fatigue was hard to endure.

"Su Yang, Sun Wei, you two come with me to finish the remaining boxes in the warehouse," Yu Yue said.

"Okay," Sun Wei agreed.

Su Yang didn't refuse either.

The three walked out of the church, facing the moonlight, and walked toward the warehouse.

On the way, Sun Wei glanced at Su Yang, who was full of worries, and smiled: "No need to thank me, I'm just helping the good guys."

Who wants to thank you?

Wanting to kill you is real.

"I'm thinking if it's not a Morphing Wolf, could it be a 'Morphing' talent?" Su Yang speculated.

Yu Yue slowed her pace, turned her head to look at Su Yang, "Who do you think it is?"

"Number 13."

"I also feel her suspicion is very high. I just forgot to ask where she went last," Yu Yue frowned.

"She also said she went to the red-light district, but Sun Wei didn't see her. According to the footwork, the possibility of the two meeting is very high," Su Yang said.

"If the person who killed Number 9 is her, then it matches up," killing intent flashed in Yu Yue's eyes.

"Better to kill the wrong one than let one go. I'll do it tomorrow," Su Yang suggested.

"How to determine she is the killer?" Sun Wei was puzzled.

Su Yang pouted, "You forgot that Number 1 can verify identity? The CD should be fine tomorrow, right?"

"Yes," Yu Yue nodded.

Then the three came to the warehouse and finished organizing the last bit of boxes.

All five daily tasks of the first day were completed, and the progress bar rose by one-fifth.

That is to say, only four more days were needed for the good guys to win.

On the way back, Su Yang suggested bypassing the wharf route to simulate the killer's movement route.

Yu Yue and Sun Wei had no objections.

So the three came to the wharf, looking at the ships of all sizes on the shore, full of doubts.

"Guo Bing's task is to clean the deck. There are so many ships here, how long would it take? It seems he didn't lie," Sun Wei said.

"Then it's Kong Feixue who lied. Why did she speak like that?" Su Yang seemed to have captured a corner of the clue.

But it wasn't clear enough; he needed more information! ===== CHAPTER 23 =====
