Chapter 64

~8 min read 1,412 words

In the moment of crisis, Su Yang released the traitor's 'Spirit World Walk' skill, his body merging into space and speeding away.

In this state, his speed was ten times faster than usual.

And ignoring the cold and snow, he galloped through the snow like a ghost.

The time for Spirit World Walk was not infinite; he only had one minute.

And one minute was more than enough to run from the ship to the Wolf Camp on the hillside!

Qi Ming on the ship came to Liu Wei Cheng's room, looked at the two corpses lying on the ground, and his eyes filled with malice.

"Hidden for so long, only to show your fox tail for a gun," Qi Ming sneered.

Regarding the deaths of the cook and the Gunman, he showed no sadness or surprise.

As if everything was under his control.

"The armory has been opened; it's time for the final reckoning," Qi Ming muttered to himself, carrying the smoothbore gun back to the lounge.

The flintlock bullets had all been taken by Su Yang, so to ensure firepower.

He needed to take out backup supplies.

Liu Wei Cheng's visit in the middle of the night yesterday wasn't just to discuss the armory, but also included storing supplies.

The Captain's lounge was the last pure land for the good guys, not to be stepped on by anyone.

Qi Ming pushed open the door, first picked up the animal trap placed on the ground, then walked to the cupboard and took out all the gunpowder and lead ingots inside.

Then he went to the workbench and rubbed bullets without a word.

1 good guy, 3 werewolves.

This looked like a game that was sure to be lost no matter how you looked at it.

But he wasn't panicked, even terrifyingly calm.

After rubbing the bullets, he loaded them, raised the long gun, aimed at the Captain's office, and suddenly smiled in relief.

In front of the Wolf Camp, Su Yang ended his Spirit World Walk state and took a deep breath.

"Haa—"

He felt like he had almost suffocated to death in the Spirit World state, unable to breathe for a full minute; it was thanks to his large lung capacity.

Otherwise, he would have become the first traitor in game history to die from his own skill.

"Who's there?"

Hearing the movement, Nan Xue Qing pulled out her bow and walked out, pointing at the newcomer from thirty meters away.

"Don't shoot, it's one of us," Su Yang shouted.

Nan Xue Qing looked confused and slowly lowered her bow. "Weren't you going to stay on the ship for another night? Why are you here now?"

Jiang Yao ran out hurriedly, and upon discovering it was Su Yang, she said happily, "You're here!"

Su Yang smiled, patted her head, and explained, "The Gunman and the cook are both dead; only the Captain is left on the ship now."

"Stop touching me," Jiang Yao muttered dissatisfiedly, but she didn't have much of a reaction to resist.

Hearing this news, Nan Xue Qing looked happy, and a smile finally appeared on her indifferent, pretty face. "Really?"

"But there's bad news: the good guys have opened the armory," Su Yang explained the situation with the big gun.

"The range of a smoothbore gun is further than a flintlock, about a hundred meters, which is very unfavorable for us," Nan Xue Qing said in a deep voice.

"Give me the bow," Su Yang reached out.

"What are you doing?" Nan Xue Qing asked.

"Practicing shooting," Su Yang said, taking out the flintlock to show her.

"Don't break it." Nan Xue Qing didn't refuse and handed over the arrows and the bow.

Su Yang possessed the 'Eagle Eye' talent, equivalent to a natural sniper.

If he could master the influence of wind direction and environment on the bullet's trajectory, he would be an invincible sharpshooter.

But shooting is not something that can be mastered overnight.

He only had one night, so he could only get a rough idea.

And the bow and the flintlock were different.

For the latter, the bullet would have a tendency to drop after thirty meters, requiring strict control of the firing angle.

Su Yang tried with the bow and arrow and found that after activating 'Eagle Eye', he could accurately locate objects within a fifty-meter range.

It could be said to be a hundred shots, a hundred hits, never missing!

But it didn't work beyond a hundred meters, especially when the wind and snow were too heavy; the arrows would drift left and right, making it very difficult to hit the bullseye.

After practicing for more than half an hour, Su Yang felt it was about enough.

He took out the flintlock, loaded a bullet, walked to the cliff, and aimed at a bottle fifty meters away against the heavy snow.

"Bang!"

The gunshot echoed between the mountains, resounding all around.

The bottle didn't move at all; the bullet hit the snow ten centimeters to the left.

The bullet hole was instantly covered by snow.

"Still can't do it?" Su Yang frowned.

Hearing the gunshot, Nan Xue Qing walked over. "How is it? How was the practice?"

"Not very good; the vision is there, but the accuracy is still lacking," Su Yang shook his head.

"Can't even do it at fifty meters?" Nan Xue Qing teased.

"You do it if you can," Su Yang handed over the gun.

Nan Xue Qing took it directly, loaded the bullet, aimed at the bottle, and pulled the trigger.

The movement was smooth and continuous, without the slightest hesitation.

One shot rang out, and the bottle shattered in response.

"Young man, you still need to practice," Nan Xue Qing returned the gun to Su Yang and left a sentence before returning to the tent.

"That accurate?" Su Yang suddenly doubted his life.

You have to know that the wind force now is not comparable to indoors; even a slight deviation would cause it to miss.

Yet Nan Xue Qing could hit it accurately, which made Su Yang suspect she had practiced in secret.

"Do you have a gun too?" Su Yang chased after her and asked.

"Of course." Nan Xue Qing took out an identical flintlock from the tent.

"No wonder..."

"What is the Captain's plan?" Nan Xue Qing sat on the hammock and swung her straight, long legs.

"First kill the polar bear, then deal with us," Su Yang said.

"Daydreaming. He wants to kill two bears and three people by himself? Does he really think I'm a vegetarian?" Nan Xue Qing said disdainfully.

"Not necessarily," Su Yang said.

"Why? Are you afraid?"

"The Gunman died too easily; I suspect he has a backup plan," Su Yang voiced his concern.

"Tell me about it," Nan Xue Qing said with interest.

"First, Liu Wei Cheng was sleeping in his room last night, yet he was able to enter my room and take the cook to the kitchen to cook; this obviously doesn't make sense," Su Yang analyzed.

"Secondly, the Captain was able to open the armory, but his excuse was that he hadn't found the last password, which is enough to show they were both guarding against me."

"So, with precautions taken in advance, how could the Gunman obediently lie in his room waiting for me to come and kill him?"

Nan Xue Qing listened and noticed the oddity. "You suspect it wasn't the Gunman who was killed, but some puppet?"

"Puppets don't bleed," Su Yang recalled the scene he had witnessed with his own eyes.

"Could it be 'resurrection'?"

"Impossible; if it were resurrection, it wouldn't explain how someone could be sleeping in a room while also walking outside."

Jiang Yao had been listening for a long time and said, seemingly understanding, "Why are you two so stupid? It's a clone."

As soon as the words fell, the two of them looked up at each other.

"If it's a clone, then his true body must have hidden itself immediately!" Su Yang realized.

"The Captain's lounge?" they said in unison.

That was it.

That explained it!

The clone was sleeping in the room, while the true body was hidden in the Captain's lounge.

That's why he could sleep on the bed without defenses and keep the flintlock on him.

His goal was to flush out the Hidden Werewolf!

"In his view, both the cook and I could be traitors!"

Thinking about it is terrifying!
