Chapter 155: The Generals of the Six Great Legions

At this moment, after hearing Liu Bian's words, all four became somewhat excited.

And the soldiers in the audience also quieted down, looking at this scene with excitement, looking at Liu Bian and the commanders of the six great legions with full reverence.

"Guan Yu, come forward to receive your appointment!"

Following Liu Bian's dignified voice, Guan Yu came before Liu Bian under the gaze of hundreds of thousands of soldiers.

"I am here!"

Guan Yu immediately stepped out with excitement and responded loudly to Liu Bian with a salute.

Liu Bian scanned the whole field with majesty and said with dignity:

"I appoint you as Commander of the Qinglong Legion, one of the five great Divine Beast Legions of the Great Han Empire, Third Rank, with a salary of one thousand shi; effective immediately, form the two hundred thousand-strong Qinglong Legion, reporting directly to me!"

"I, Guan Yu, thank Your Majesty; I am willing to go through fire and water for Your Majesty, and will not refuse!"

Guan Yu kowtowed excitedly and shouted loudly.

Seeing this, Liu Bian nodded with satisfaction, raised his hands slightly to him, and said with majesty:

"Rise, my beloved minister!"

After Guan Yu stood up, Liu Bian turned his gaze to Zhao Yun and said with majesty:

"Zhao Yun, come forward to receive your appointment!"

Seeing this, Zhao Yun, like Guan Yu, immediately knelt down excitedly and responded loudly:

"I am here!"

"I appoint you as Commander of the Baihu Legion, one of the five great Divine Beast Legions of the Great Han Empire, Third Rank, with a salary of one thousand shi; effective immediately, form the two hundred thousand-strong Baihu Legion, reporting directly to me!"

Liu Bian looked at Zhao Yun, who was full of heroic spirit, and said with majesty.

"I obey the decree; thank Your Majesty for your heavenly grace! I will certainly swear to be loyal to Your Majesty!"

Zhao Yun thanked Liu Bian excitedly.

"Huang Zhong, come forward to receive your appointment!"

Upon hearing this, Huang Zhong immediately stepped forward and bowed to Liu Bian:

"I am here!"

"I appoint you as Commander of the Zhuque Legion, one of the five great Divine Beast Legions of the Great Han Empire, Third Rank, with a salary of one thousand shi; effective immediately, form the two hundred thousand-strong Zhuque Legion, reporting directly to me!"

"Ma Chao, come forward to receive your appointment!"

"I am here!"

After Liu Bian called his name, Ma Chao immediately stepped out, bowed respectfully to Liu Bian, and responded loudly.

"I appoint you as Commander of the Qilin Legion, one of the five great Divine Beast Legions of the Great Han Empire, Third Rank, with a salary of one thousand shi; effective immediately, form the two hundred thousand-strong Qilin Legion, reporting directly to me!"

Ma Chao immediately kowtowed to Liu Bian excitedly and responded loudly:

"I obey the decree; thank Your Majesty for your heavenly grace, I will certainly swear to be loyal to Your Majesty!"

Thus, the commanders of the newly formed Shenwu Legion and the five great Divine Beast Legions of the Great Han Empire were all in place.

Looking at the six great commanders standing solemnly in front of him, Liu Bian was also very happy in his heart.

"The six great legions will be the strongest legions of our Great Han Empire from now on, and they will be the main combat legions of our Great Han from now on."

"I have infinite expectations for your six great legions; I hope you will not disappoint me!"

Liu Bian looked at the six people, his body radiating a rich imperial aura, and exhorted them with majesty.

"We obey the order! We will certainly not fail Your Majesty's trust!"

Upon hearing this, the six people were all shocked and shouted loudly and solemnly.

Seeing this, Liu Bian nodded with satisfaction, and then looked at the people below who had participated in this competition and said with majesty:

"As for you dozen or so people who were defeated, although you lost this time, you lost to the five great Divine Beast generals of our Great Han Empire, so you lost with honor!"

Upon hearing this, everyone looked at Liu Bian with excitement, bowed and shouted:

"We thank Your Majesty for your grace in not blaming us; we will certainly swear to be loyal to Your Majesty!"

Seeing this, Liu Bian nodded with satisfaction and continued:

"Now, the six great legions are newly formed and are in need of people. In view of your performance this time, I allow you to freely choose to join the legions of the six great generals."

"Since there are eighteen of you, each of the six great legions will select three people to join, Fourth Rank, with a salary of six hundred shi, to serve as generals of the six great legions."

Upon hearing this, the dozen or so people were overjoyed and thanked Liu Bian:

"We thank Your Majesty for your heavenly grace!"

Subsequently, they looked at the commanders they favored; at this time, the commanders of the six great legions were also looking at these people, and they were also very curious about who would choose them.

Soon, everyone made their choices; among them, those who chose to join Lü Bu's Shenwu Legion were Lü Bu's original old subordinates, Wei Xu, Song Xian, and Hou Cheng.

Those who joined Guan Yu's Qinglong Legion were Zhang Fei, Zhou Cang, and Yu Jin.

Those who joined Zhang Liao's Xuanwu Legion were Li Dian, Zhang He, and Yue Jin.

Those who joined Ma Chao's Qilin Legion were Xiahou Yuan, Cao Ren, and Gao Lan.

Those who joined Huang Zhong's Zhuque Legion were Xiahou Dun, Yan Liang, and Wen Chou.

The last three, Wei Yan, Xu Huang, and Cao Hong, joined Zhao Yun's Baihu Legion.

Thus, the commanders and generals of the six great legions were all in place; although there were fewer generals, they could be supplemented slowly later.

Seeing that everyone had chosen their favorite legions, Liu Bian nodded with satisfaction and then said to everyone with majesty:

"To celebrate the establishment of the six great legions, I have one more gift to reward you commanders and generals of the six great legions."

After hearing Liu Bian's words, the crowd, who were still talking in low voices, instantly quieted down, all looking at Liu Bian with curiosity, wanting to know what good things there would be this time.

Regarding the rewards Liu Bian brought out, no one would think they were ordinary things.

Liu Bian looked at everyone with a smile, then waved his hand, and more than twenty weapons appeared in front of everyone.

"This is what I specially prepared for you; the weapons of the generals of the six great legions are Mystic Grade Lower Quality weapons."

"And the weapons of you eighteen generals are Yellow Grade Superior weapons."

"We thank Your Majesty!"

After the crowd thanked Liu Bian respectfully, their eyes were fixed on the weapons in front of them.

Everyone picked up their weapons with joy and played with them fondly.

These weapons were all specially exchanged by Liu Bian in the system mall according to the weapons of the generals.

These weapons cost Liu Bian fifteen thousand points of national fortune; for Liu Bian, who now possessed nearly one million points of national fortune, this cost was just a drop in the bucket.

During this period, after Liu Bian's series of operations of distributing land and reducing taxes, now the people of the entire Sili area had basically contributed national fortune to Liu Bian.

If it weren't for the system restrictions in other provinces and commanderies, Liu Bian's national fortune would have been several million.

"Your Majesty, these Mystic Grade Lower Quality weapons are truly powerful; I feel they can increase my strength by thirty percent!"

At this time, after feeling the power of the Mystic Grade Lower Quality weapon, Lü Bu said excitedly to Liu Bian.

And the others on the side also nodded in agreement.

Even the Yellow Grade Superior weapons of Zhang Fei and the others, they felt, also increased their strength by ten percent, not counting the sharpness of the weapons themselves. ===== CHAPTER 156 =====
