Chapter 371

As Yufuluo's corpse fell from his horse.

The Xiongnu soldiers on the field were also slaughtered by the Bingzhou Army soldiers.

At this moment, the Bingzhou soldiers all looked toward Zhang Liao.

Zhang Liao slowly stepped forward, looked at Yufuluo's corpse at his feet, and instructed the soldiers:

"Take his head, and bury his body with full honors!"

"Understood!"

The soldiers on the side immediately responded after hearing Zhang Liao's words.

"Leave two thousand men to clean up the battlefield, the rest follow this General to the front exit to support the Military Advisor and the others."

Seeing that the enemy had been completely wiped out.

And Xi Zhicai and the others at the front did not know what the situation was.

Zhang Liao immediately ordered the great army.

"Yes!"

Following Zhang Liao's order, after leaving two thousand men on the battlefield, the rest of the crowd followed Zhang Liao and rushed toward Xi Zhicai's location.

At this moment, Xi Zhicai's side had also ended the great battle.

Huchuquan and the more than 10,000 Xiongnu soldiers he led had already been slaughtered by Xi Zhicai and the Bingzhou Army soldiers.

At this moment, Zhang Liao was leading a large group of men rushing toward here.

"Military Advisor, the General is here!"

The scout on guard outside saw Zhang Liao arrive and reported to Xi Zhicai.

"Oh, the General is very fast, isn't he? He ended the battle so quickly and even came to support us!"

Hearing that Zhang Liao had arrived, Xi Zhicai didn't know if he was speaking to the scout or to himself.

"Quickly take me there!"

After saying this to the scout, he went to find Zhang Liao.

"Hahaha, Military Advisor!"

Soon, Zhang Liao saw Xi Zhicai appear in his sight and immediately walked toward him happily.

"General, how is the battle situation?"

Seeing Zhang Liao, Xi Zhicai immediately inquired about the battle situation.

"Hahaha, a great victory!"

Seeing Xi Zhicai inquire about the battle situation, Zhang Liao also laughed loudly with joy.

"Tell me quickly, what are the battle losses? Also, where is Yufuluo?"

After hearing Zhang Liao's words, Xi Zhicai immediately asked curiously.

Although he could guess that the battle situation at this moment might be unprecedented, he still wanted to confirm it first.

"Military Advisor, let's sit down and talk!"

Seeing Xi Zhicai's curious expression, Zhang Liao sat directly on a rock on the spot, and subsequently said to Xi Zhicai:

"Military Advisor, you don't know! This time, we have achieved an unprecedented great victory!"

After sitting down, Zhang Liao sighed to Xi Zhicai.

"General, you might as well just say it directly; I can still guess the result roughly!"

Evidently, Xi Zhicai was not very satisfied with Zhang Liao's answer and immediately reminded him.

Seeing Xi Zhicai's appearance, Zhang Liao no longer kept him in suspense and said directly with a smile:

"Hahaha, in this great battle, our army did not lose a single man, and light injuries were no more than eighty or a hundred men."

"Moreover, this General even beheaded the Xiongnu great general, Mu Shun."

"As for that Xiongnu Great Chanyu, Yufuluo, he committed suicide!"

Speaking of Yufuluo committing suicide, Zhang Liao also felt a bit of regret that he hadn't beheaded him personally.

"Hahaha, good, good, good!"

"My side also had a similar battle situation to the General's, and the Xiongnu cavalry commander, Huchuquan, was also beheaded."

Xi Zhicai was very happy about the battle situation on Zhang Liao's side, and subsequently reported his own battle situation to Zhang Liao.

"Good!"

"Military Advisor, this time we have completely wiped out Yufuluo and his 50,000-strong army; do you think we should take the three Yunzhong commanderies in one fell swoop?"

Thinking that the main force and commanders of the Bingzhou Xiongnu had already been wiped out by them, Zhang Liao also wanted to take the entire nine commanderies of Bing Province in one fell swoop.

"General, your idea coincides with mine; I also want to remind the General that this is the best time to take the three Yunzhong commanderies!"

Xi Zhicai was very much in agreement with Zhang Liao's idea; if they didn't send troops now, were they waiting for the Xiongnu to continue occupying the three Yunzhong commanderies?

"Good, since you, Military Advisor, also agree with this matter, then we have decided; after we finish cleaning up the battlefield, we will discuss this matter."

Seeing that Xi Zhicai also agreed to send troops, Zhang Liao was immediately overjoyed, and the two of them decided to send troops.

"Good, let's finish cleaning up the battlefield first, and besides, with such a great victory, we should also report it to His Majesty as soon as possible!"

Xi Zhicai thought that such a great victory should also be made known to Liu Bian as soon as possible.

Hearing this, Zhang Liao was also very much in agreement and immediately said to Xi Zhicai:

"The Military Advisor is absolutely right; then the battle report for His Majesty will still be written by you, and just have the Dark Guards send it directly; their speed is faster."

"Please rest assured, General!"

About an hour later, the crowd finished cleaning up the battlefield, and the entire valley was buried with the 50,000-strong Xiongnu army.

If this wasn't handled properly, and a plague broke out, that would be a huge problem.

They couldn't afford to be careless.

After burning the corpses of the 50,000 Xiongnu army with a great fire, Zhang Liao led the great army back to Tongguo City to rest and reorganize.

On that very night, the Dark Guards took Zhang Liao's battle report and sent it rapidly toward Liu Bian in Wuwei Commandery.

Three days later, Liu Bian, who was in Wuwei City, received Zhang Liao's battle report.

At this time, inside the Prefectural Governor's Mansion in Guzang City, ever since Liu Bian arrived in the city, the Prefectural Governor's Mansion had become Liu Bian's temporary palace.

And at this time, everyone under Liu Bian's command was already waiting for Liu Bian in the main hall of the Prefectural Governor's Mansion.

The crowd didn't wait long before Liu Bian's figure appeared in the main hall.

After seeing Liu Bian arrive, the crowd hurriedly saluted.

"We, your subjects, pay respects to Your Majesty!"

After Liu Bian passed the crowd and arrived at the head position to sit down, he said to the crowd:

"My beloved ministers, all rise!"

"All sit!"

After hearing Liu Bian's words, the crowd thanked Liu Bian before daring to rise.

"We, your subjects, thank Your Majesty!"

After everyone was seated, Liu Bian said to the crowd:

"Today, I summoned you beloved ministers here because I received a battle report from Zhang Liao in Bing Province!"

Speaking to this point, Liu Bian paused, his gaze fixed on the crowd.

"Your Majesty, is it a report of victory from General Zhang Liao?"

Hearing this, Guo Jia, as the Grand Military Strategist, immediately asked.

"Fengxiao guessed correctly, however, this battle report will surely give you all a huge surprise!"

Seeing Guo Jia guess it, Liu Bian immediately said happily, not forgetting to tease the crowd a little.

"Oh, then it seems this battle report is extraordinary!"

Seeing Liu Bian's appearance, Guo Jia also said curiously.

As Liu Bian and Guo Jia's voices fell, Lü Bu and the others below also looked at Liu Bian curiously.

Seeing the crowd's appearance, Liu Bian no longer hid it and said to the crowd:

"I just received the battle report sent by Zhang Liao via the Dark Guards; the battle report says they have already captured all six commanderies of Bing Province."

"Moreover, they also beheaded the Southern Xiongnu Great Chanyu, Yufuluo, in a valley ten miles outside Tongguo City."

"Along with him, the 50,000 Xiongnu cavalry led by Yufuluo, together with his cavalry commander Huchuquan and Mu Shun, were all buried in that place."

"This time, it can truly be said to have raised the heavenly might of our Great Han!"
