Chapter 465: The Strength of the Six Great Legions

"Good, this time it really is thanks to these great clans. With their money and grain, the speed at which I can unify the world has been greatly increased!"

At this moment, after hearing the report from Xi Zhicai, Liu Bian laughed and said.

"We, your subjects, congratulate Your Majesty!"

"Very well, does anyone else have a memorial to present?"

Waving his hand slightly at the crowd, Liu Bian looked at his officials and continued to ask.

"Your Majesty, I have a memorial to present!"

As Liu Bian's voice fell, Minister of Works Xun You immediately stepped out and said with a bow.

"Speak."

Liu Bian said majestically.

"Reporting to Your Majesty, after three months of construction, the Shrine of Heroic Souls is already nearly half finished."

"And the Great Han Imperial Academy has also begun construction; it is expected to be completed before the end of the year."

Xun You reported to Liu Bian with a solemn expression.

"Good, you have handled this matter well, Minister. Once both buildings are completed, I shall reward you handsomely!"

After hearing Xun You's report, Liu Bian spoke to him immediately.

"Many thanks, Your Majesty!"

After bowing in thanks, Xun You retreated back into the ranks.

After scanning the crowd, Liu Bian said majestically:

"Now that the civil affairs have been reported, let us discuss military matters!"

Upon hearing this, everyone's expression tightened, and they all became solemn.

"Ever since I ordered you to strictly supervise the cultivation of the soldiers in your legions three months ago, the time has come to verify the results!"

"Commanders of the six great legions, report the cultivation progress of your respective troops over these past three months!"

Liu Bian cast his gaze toward the commanders of the six great legions and said in a commanding voice.

Lü Bu and the others were shaken upon hearing this.

They all responded loudly with solemn expressions:

"This general obeys the decree!"

Subsequently, starting with Lü Bu, they began their reports.

"Reporting to Your Majesty, after three months of diligent cultivation, my Divine Martial Legion..."

"Has one person at the Postnatal Seventh Heaven, five at the Postnatal Fifth Heaven, twenty at the Postnatal Third Heaven, two hundred at the Postnatal First Heaven, two thousand at the Divine General Realm, and all other soldiers have reached the strength of First-rate Martial Generals."

Lü Bu loudly reported the strength of the Divine Martial Legion to Liu Bian and the assembled officials.

"Hiss..."

"As expected of the Great Han Empire's strongest Divine Martial Legion; this strength is simply too formidable!"

The officials were all shocked by the strength of the Divine Martial Legion.

An entire army of two hundred thousand, all with the strength of First-rate Martial Generals!

In the past, such strength would have been unimaginable even in dreams.

Now, the Divine Martial Legion alone possessed such formidable power.

The other five great legions would surely not be much weaker than the Divine Martial Legion.

"Hahaha, good! As expected of Fengxian, your strength has reached the Postnatal Seventh Heaven. The Divine Martial Legion having such strength is all thanks to your efforts, Minister!"

Although Liu Bian had told the commanders of the six great legions three months ago that everyone should reach the strength of First-rate Martial Generals...

He knew very well how difficult that was.

In his expectations, it would have been quite good if even half of them had achieved it.

He had not expected that all two hundred thousand of the Divine Martial Legion would actually succeed.

With this army of two hundred thousand First-rate Martial Generals, he now had the confidence to attack a Middle Martial World.

"It is all thanks to Your Majesty's merit. Without the cultivation resources provided by Your Majesty, even with all my ability, I could never have cultivated so many Postnatal Realm experts and First-rate Martial Generals."

Hearing Liu Bian's words, Lü Bu said with some humility.

"Hahaha, that is only one part of the reason; the efforts of you and the various generals were also indispensable!"

Hearing this, Liu Bian affirmed the capabilities of Lü Bu and the others.

"This general thanks Your Majesty for the praise!"

After bowing to Liu Bian, Lü Bu retreated into the ranks.

Subsequently, the commander of the Azure Dragon Legion, Guan Yu, stepped forward and loudly reported to Liu Bian and the assembled officials:

"Reporting to Your Majesty, my Azure Dragon Legion currently has two people who have broken through to the Postnatal Sixth Heaven, one to the Postnatal Fifth Heaven, and one to the Postnatal Fourth Heaven."

"Twenty at the Postnatal First Heaven, two thousand two hundred at the Divine General Realm, and all other soldiers have broken through to the realm of First-rate Martial Generals!"

Guan Yu spoke loudly, a look of excitement on his face.

Compared to Lü Bu's Divine Martial Legion, his Azure Dragon Legion had fewer personnel who had broken through to the Postnatal Realm, but otherwise, they were about the same.

However, Lü Bu's Divine Martial Legion had the foundation of the original fifty thousand Xiliang Army.

Whereas his Azure Dragon Legion only had five thousand veteran soldiers from the original Xiyuan Eight Captains, with all others being newly recruited.

Being able to elevate them from unranked to the strength of First-rate Martial Generals within three months was sufficient to demonstrate his capability.

Immediately following, Zhao Yun, the commander of the White Tiger Legion, stepped out with a heroic air and said respectfully to Liu Bian with a cupped-fist salute:

"Reporting to Your Majesty, my White Tiger Legion has one person at the Postnatal Sixth Heaven, three at the Postnatal Fifth Heaven, and twenty at the Postnatal First Heaven."

"Two thousand three hundred at the Divine General Realm, and all other soldiers have also broken through to the realm of First-rate Martial Generals!"

After Zhao Yun finished speaking with excitement, he did not forget to cast a provocative glance at Guan Yu.

Seeing this, Guan Yu stroked his long beard, pretending nothing had happened.

"Hiss..."

"I truly did not expect that the soldiers of these three great legions would all have broken through to the strength of First-rate Martial Generals!"

"In this way, we now have an army of nearly one million composed of First-rate Martial Generals!"

At this moment, after hearing the reports from the commanders of the three great legions, the officials were in an uproar.

As for the remaining three commanders who had yet to report, they could already guess their strength.

Presumably, it would not differ much from the strength of these three legions.

Sure enough, just as everyone was excited, the commander of the Vermillion Bird Legion, Huang Zhong, stepped out and reported:

"Reporting to Your Majesty, my Vermillion Bird Legion has one person who has broken through to the Postnatal Sixth Heaven and three to the Postnatal Fifth Heaven."

"Twenty-five at the Postnatal First Heaven, two thousand one hundred and fifteen at the Divine General Realm, and all other soldiers have broken through to the realm of First-rate Martial Generals!"

After Huang Zhong finished reporting, the commander of the Black Tortoise Legion, Zhang Liao, also reported:

"Reporting to Your Majesty, in my Black Tortoise Legion, I have broken through to the Postnatal Seventh Heaven, and three have reached the Postnatal Fifth Heaven."

"Twenty at the Postnatal Second Heaven, two hundred at the Postnatal First Heaven, three thousand at the Divine General Realm, and all others have broken through to the realm of First-rate Martial Generals!"

"Reporting to Your Majesty, my Qilin Legion has one person who has broken through to the Postnatal Sixth Heaven, two to the Postnatal Fifth Heaven, and one to the Postnatal Fourth Heaven!"

"Fifty at the Postnatal First Heaven, two thousand two hundred at the Divine General Realm, and the remaining soldiers have also broken through to the realm of First-rate Martial Generals!"

As the voices of Black Tortoise Legion commander Zhang Liao and Qilin Legion commander Ma Chao fell, the entire Court Hall fell into complete silence.

"Hiss..."

Subsequently, all the civil and military officials in the Court Hall gasped in unison. ===== CHAPTER 466 =====
