Chapter 766: Two More Major Legions

After conferring the tributes, Liu Bian turned his gaze toward Bai Qi and the others.

"Bai Qi, listen to the order!"

Following Liu Bian's words, Bai Qi stepped forward and bowed respectfully to Liu Bian:

"This humble general Bai Qi pays respects to Your Majesty!"

Nodding at Bai Qi, Liu Bian's majestic voice resounded in the Dilin Hall.

"Effective immediately, I appoint Bai Qi as the Commander of the Great Han Empire's God-Slaying Army, with an official rank of Third Grade, enjoying the Third Grade National Fortune power of the Great Han Empire."

"Effective immediately, begin selecting five hundred thousand God-Slaying Army soldiers from the Great Han Empire!"

Following Liu Bian's words, the Great Han Empire's National Fortune Golden Dragon appeared and descended a red stream of National Fortune power toward Bai Qi.

Following the feedback of the National Fortune power, Bai Qi's cultivation also successfully broke through a small realm, reaching the Martial Emperor Ninth Heaven realm.

And at the same time, a God-Slaying Army official seal condensed from National Fortune power slowly landed in front of Bai Qi.

Solemnly receiving the official seal, Bai Qi was excited and bowed respectfully to thank Liu Bian.

"This humble general Bai Qi thanks Your Majesty! Please rest assured, Your Majesty, this humble general will definitely not fail Your Majesty's trust!"

"This humble general has the confidence to build the God-Slaying Army into the most elite legion of our Great Han Empire!"

Hearing Bai Qi's words, Liu Bian also nodded with satisfaction and laughed loudly at Bai Qi:

"Good! General Bai has such a heart, I am very pleased!"

"I will hand over the God-Slaying Army legion to you entirely; you can recruit the people yourself."

"If you need resources, go directly to the Minister of Revenue, Xi Zhicai; if the Ministry of Revenue doesn't have them, then come to me!"

Hearing Liu Bian's words, Bai Qi was also moved and immediately bowed to thank Liu Bian again.

"This humble general thanks Your Majesty!"

Bai Qi didn't expect Liu Bian to trust him so much; he swore that from now on, he would definitely serve His Majesty well! Serve the Great Han Empire well!

And the officials, hearing Liu Bian's words, also looked at Bai Qi with envy.

This was the first time they had seen Liu Bian value a minister so much.

This was truly imperial grace!

After conferring Bai Qi, Liu Bian turned his gaze toward Xiang Yu on the side.

"By the way, General Bai Qi, I intend to hand this kid Xiang Yu over to you to lead."

"This kid is a natural martial general; just let him follow you and temper himself well."

Hearing Liu Bian's words, Xiang Yu was full of excitement.

He didn't expect that Liu Bian would arrange for him to be under Bai Qi.

Regarding Bai Qi, Xiang Yu was also very respectful; this was one of the four famous generals of the Warring States period.

A ruthless man who had experienced over seventy battles in his life without a single defeat.

Being able to follow such a person would also be very beneficial for him.

And hearing Liu Bian's words, Bai Qi also turned his gaze toward Xiang Yu, who was full of excitement.

He discovered that Xiang Yu was only fifteen or sixteen years old, but his cultivation had already reached Martial King Seventh Heaven.

Such talent, even Bai Qi was shocked.

"This humble general obeys the decree!"

Following Bai Qi's acceptance, Xiang Yu was also very happy and hurriedly bowed to thank Liu Bian.

"This humble general thanks Your Majesty; please rest assured, Your Majesty, this humble general will definitely follow General Bai well to kill the enemy from now on!"

Seeing this, Liu Bian also nodded with satisfaction.

After solving Xiang Yu's problem, Liu Bian turned his gaze toward Wang Jian and said majestically:

"Wang Jian, listen to the order!"

Wang Jian heard this, his body shook, and he stepped forward, bowing respectfully to Liu Bian.

"This humble general Wang Jian pays respects to Your Majesty!"

"Effective immediately, I appoint Wang Jian as the Commander of the Bian Yan Legion, one of the five major fierce beast legions, with an official rank of Third Grade, enjoying the Third Grade National Fortune power of the Great Han Empire!"

"Effective immediately, begin forming a one-million-strong Bian Yan Legion!"

Following Liu Bian's conferment, the National Fortune Golden Dragon again spat a red stream of National Fortune power toward Wang Jian.

At the same time, an official seal in the shape of a Bian Yan fierce beast floated in front of Wang Jian.

Similarly, Wang Jian's cultivation also successfully broke through to the Martial Emperor Eighth Heaven realm under the National Fortune power.

After receiving the Bian Yan Legion official seal, Wang Jian bowed to thank Liu Bian:

"This humble general Wang Jian thanks Your Majesty!"

"This humble general swears to serve His Majesty to the death! Swears to serve the Great Han Empire to the death!"

Seeing this, Liu Bian also nodded with satisfaction, and then another loud shout resounded.

"Wang Ben, Meng Tian, Li Xin, Zhang Han, listen to the order!"

Meng Tian and the four heard this, stepped forward in unison, bowed neatly to Liu Bian, and responded loudly:

"This humble general pays respects to Your Majesty!"

Looking at the four kneeling on the ground, Liu Bian shouted majestically:

"Effective immediately, I appoint Meng Tian, Wang Ben, Li Xin, and Zhang Han as Generals of the Bian Yan Legion, one of the five major fierce beast legions, with an official rank of Fourth Grade, enjoying the Fourth Grade National Fortune power of the Great Han Empire!"

Following Liu Bian's words, four blue streams of National Fortune power fell toward the four.

And at the same time, four official seals symbolizing the Bian Yan Legion generals floated in front of the four.

Not surprisingly, as the National Fortune power was refined, the cultivation of the four also successfully broke through a small realm.

Among the four, the one with the highest cultivation, Meng Tian, broke through to Martial Emperor Sixth Heaven, while Wang Ben, Li Xin, and Zhang Han broke through to Martial Emperor Fifth Heaven.

After the breakthrough, the four respectfully received the official seals and bowed to thank Liu Bian again.

"This humble general thanks Your Majesty!"

Subsequently, Liu Bian conferred Xiao He as the Left Vice Minister of the Ministry of Personnel, with an official rank of Third Grade.

Conferred Feng Quji as the Left Vice Minister of the Ministry of Revenue, with an official rank of Third Grade; Chen Ping as the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Revenue, with an official rank of Fourth Grade; and Cao Can as the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Works, with an official rank of Fourth Grade.

Immediately, Liu Bian also sent Peng Yue, Zhou Bo, Fan Kuai, and Guan Ying to serve as generals in Huo Qubing's Wolf Cavalry Army.

As for Ying Bu, Long Qie, Zhong Limei, and Ji Bu, Liu Bian arranged for them to join Bai Qi's God-Slaying Army.

These people, in the original historical trajectory, followed Xiang Yu.

Nowadays, Liu Bian also arranged for them to be together with Xiang Yu.

These people, because their ages were all around twenty, had just broken through to the Martial Emperor Realm.

However, as long as they were given time, their cultivation would soon catch up.

After conferring these people, Liu Bian said to the others:

"As for you others, the commanders of the major legions

"As for other rewards, once you have tallied the merits within your respective legions, report them to Us."

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded with joy on their faces and bowed to Liu Bian in unison to express their gratitude.

"We thank Your Majesty!"

Seeing this, Liu Bian nodded and exhorted them:

"As for other rewards, I will bestow them upon you after I have promoted the main realm."

"I will begin promoting the main realm in a few days; during this time, you must stabilize the common people!"

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded with serious expressions and replied to Liu Bian in unison:

"We obey the imperial edict!"
