Chapter 687: Establishing the Nine Great Guilds

Sitting cross-legged on the high platform, Yin Qi pressed his right hand down, and the entire venue quickly fell silent.

"Before we begin, let me state the rules for the Q&A process: first, no asking unrelated questions; second, raise your hand if you have a question, and I will select randomly; finally, each person may only ask one question."

Yin Qi said slowly, "Alright, the Q&A starts now. Raise your hand if you have a question."

"Me!"

"Me!"

As Yin Qi finished speaking, hundreds of people raised their hands.

Yin Qi scanned the venue and chose a young man with an Eastern face sitting closest to the high platform: "You."

The Eastern youth stood up excitedly: "Thank you, thank you Master Yin. I specialize in Alchemy..."

Time passed, and in the blink of an eye, it was noon.

Yin Qi had answered over a hundred questions and discovered that everyone asked most about Alchemy and Artifact Refining, perhaps because Alchemy directly relates to cultivation speed, while Artifact Refining relates to personal combat power.

Among the Nine Great Lineages, those studying Alchemy and Artifact Refining were also the most numerous.

Although the mainstream view in the Shenmu World is that cultivation improved by relying on external forces will shackle one's own development.

But in reality, if there are pills that improve cultivation, the vast majority of people cannot refuse this temptation, because even without relying on external objects to improve cultivation, the achievements of the vast majority of people are limited anyway.

Since one knows their future achievements are limited, why not take pills to improve?

Yin Qi looked around the venue and said loudly, "It is already noon, so let's end today's Q&A here. Next, I want to announce two things. The first thing is that I will emulate the Mercenary Guild and establish the Nine Great Guilds, including Alchemy, Artifact Refining, and others."

The functions of the Nine Great Guilds are: first, assessment and grading; second, exchange and cooperation; third, overall planning and development.

The second thing is that I will sell pills, Dharma Treasures, Talismans, and so on through the Nine Great Guilds. Only those who join the guilds will be able to purchase them with money or exchange for them with Merit Points.

As for Merit Points, they can only be obtained by completing relevant tasks issued by the Nine Great Guilds.

As Yin Qi finished speaking, the whole venue cheered.

"Establishing the Nine Great Guilds! Great, this way, everyone will have a place to exchange and discuss in the future."

"Too good, I have long wanted to buy high-grade pills and Dharma Treasures. It's just a pity that everyone is only learning now, and at most can only refine some low-level pills and Dharma Treasures. They are tasteless to eat, yet a pity to discard."

"These Nine Great Guilds should be similar to the Magic Guild and the Mercenary Guild. I want to join too!"

After announcing the two things, Yin Qi stood up and left.

The Academy main hall.

Yin Qi and Yao Zhen, along with a group of academy executives, discussed the matter of establishing the Nine Great Guilds.

The Nine Great Guilds belong to the Hundred Trades Department, with Yin Qi as the President.

Underneath, the Nine Great Guilds each have a President and Vice President.

Charity begins at home; the nine Presidents all come from the senior management of Shenfeng Academy, while the nine Vice Presidents are recruited from various major forces, the purpose naturally being to unite all parties.

After all, for the Nine Great Guilds to spread across the continent, they certainly need the assistance of local power brokers.

The three Eastern empires: Chu Kingdom, Hundred Yue Kingdom, and Anping; the four Western empires: Xinlan, Manluo, Latvia, and Aikesi—these seven empires certainly all need a quota.

As for the remaining two quotas, one can be given to the Five Great Sacred Lands and the ten great families, to be decided by them.

The other quota will be given to the Light Church.

The Light Church holds a 'ruling position' on the Western Continent, and the emperors of various countries all need the Pope's coronation to have a legitimate status.

As for the Evil Path Six Great Sacred Lands in the East and the Dark Church in the West, although they are also powerful and have deep foundations, they are ultimately not of the Righteous Dao and certainly cannot join.

According to Yin Qi's plan, the Nine Great Guilds are divided into levels.

The headquarters is located in the Free City.

First-level branches are established in the capitals of the seven empires.

Second-level branches are established in the 'provincial' capitals of the seven empires and the capitals of small countries.

Third-level branches are established in the 'city' level of the seven empires and the 'provincial' level of small countries.

Fourth-level branches are established in the 'county' level of the seven empires and the 'city' level of small countries.

However, considering the reality that it is extremely difficult to enter the path of cultivation in the Shenmu World and the proportion of cultivators is very low, it is enough to only establish up to third-level branches in the short term.

As for fourth-level branches, we will see about that later.

Branches of different levels have the authority to sell pills, Dharma Treasures, and other items of corresponding levels. For example, items above the Fourth Tier are only sold at the headquarters.

First-level branches sell items below the Fourth Tier.

Second-level branches sell items below the Third Tier.

Third-level branches sell items below the Second Order.

As for profit distribution, Yin Qi takes sixty percent, Shenfeng Academy takes ten percent, and the remaining thirty percent belongs to the local forces.

After confirming the basic framework, Yin Qi said, "The framework is like this. As for how to implement it specifically, let the academy come forward to talk to the various forces. Principal, what do you all think?"

"Agreed!"

Yao Zhen and the others naturally had no objections.

Whether it is the right to speak or the distribution of benefits, they are essentially earning without effort, and they can also greatly expand their own influence.

The more Yin Qi delegates power, the happier they are.

At the end, Yao Zhen asked, "By the way Yin Qi, how much are you releasing in the first batch, and what is the grade? The headquarters and first-level branches will be established soon, and the demand will not be small."

Please... you.... bookmark 6... 9... shu.... ba....!

Zhao Cen nodded and said, "That's right, if it's not much, we might as well digest it ourselves in Shenfeng Academy."

The others nodded one after another.

In their view, Yin Qi is just one person; even if he has some stock on him, it is probably not much.

Given the scale of Shenfeng Academy, it could easily digest this.

Yin Qi smiled slightly and said, "The quantity is not small; Shenfeng Academy cannot digest it."

"Hmm, there are over ten thousand various Pills of Fourth Tier and above;"

"Over five thousand Dharma Treasures of Fourth Tier and above;"

"And over thirty thousand various Talismans of Fourth Tier and above."

"However, for Puppetry, the quantity is not very large; currently, there are five Sixth Tier puppets, thirty Fifth Tier puppets, and two hundred Fourth Tier puppets."

Ever since he obtained the Golden Immortal Grade Human Emperor Armor, Yin Qi had far fewer concerns in his actions.

In the short term, no Heavenly Tier powerhouses would appear.

Below the Heavenly Tier, he feared no one.

"Hiss, hiss!"

Yao Zhen and the others were stunned, both shocked and suspicious.

The significance of a Sixth Tier puppet cannot be compared to Pills or Dharma Treasures, because a Sixth Tier puppet represents the ability to exert Sixth Tier combat power, belonging to 'strategic level' strength.

Even in Shenfeng Academy, there are only four Sixth Tier powerhouses.

In other words, the military force (puppets) that Yin Qi had currently displayed already exceeded that of Shenfeng Academy.

And this was only what Yin Qi had displayed himself; who knew if he had any hidden ones.

By the most, most, most cautious estimate, it was highly likely that Yin Qi also possessed Immortal Level puppets.

Because any normal person would keep a trump card.

But since Yin Qi had such power, why not establish his own faction instead of cooperating with Shenfeng Academy?

Could it be that Shenfeng Academy had something the other party craved?

But that shouldn't be the case.

The greatest secret of Shenfeng Academy was the 'God-Making Project', but this project was managed by two Sixth Tier powerhouses, and only the principal, vice-principals, and a few high-level officials knew of it.

Even other high-level officials were unaware, so Yin Qi should be even less likely to know.

Even taking a step back, even if Yin Qi had deduced it, the God-Making Project was merely a plan, currently facing heavy difficulties, and it was not as fast as taking Pills to become an Immortal.

Naturally, they did not know that these puppets, Pills, and Dharma Treasures could all be produced automatically.

As for the raw materials, some came from Shenfeng Academy, while the majority were purchased by Yin Qi.

The Chu Kingdom had sent ten million in gold notes, and using the Human Emperor Armor, he could reach any city on the continent instantly, squandering the ten million gold coins before the prices of various raw materials rose to procure a massive amount of raw materials.

"The Sixth Tier puppets will not be sold externally for the time being; they will be kept to guard the Free City."

Finally, Yin Qi added.

Sixth Tier puppets were too strong and could easily cause an imbalance among various forces, thereby triggering turmoil.

Keeping them in the Free City could deter all parties.
