Chapter 26: Re-Becoming a Student!
Unfortunately, Tsunade was not the type to be easily swayed by mere words; Fujinaka Genma did not achieve his goal.
But he could tell that both Tsunade and Jiraiya held a very favorable impression of him.
Especially Tsunade—there was so much they could discuss regarding medical knowledge.
Yet Fujinaka Genma did not freely unleash his past-life knowledge; he held back, offering only speculative ideas.
This not only fit his identity but also drew Tsunade’s attention.
Of course, he was not trying to win Tsunade over.
Though Tsunade had just passed thirty, she was at her most mature—and when slightly drunk, her occasional charm was undeniably captivating.
Fujinaka Genma had noticed Jiraiya’s idiotic grin several times already.
After agreeing to meet tomorrow to watch him unleash the Wind Style: Giant Windmill, Fujinaka Genma bid farewell to Kushina Uzumaki and the others and returned home.
Back home, after washing up, Fujinaka Genma chatted with his mother, Akie.
He mainly spoke of his visit to Kushina Uzumaki’s house, avoiding any details about his mission to prevent worry.
Half an hour later.
Fujinaka Genma returned to his bedroom to continue practicing Jin Gang Sealing.
He had high hopes for this sealing technique.
If he could upgrade Jin Gang Sealing to level 10, could it possibly rival the Wood Release’s ultimate techniques or Rinnegan abilities?
Of course, that assumed sufficient chakra.
That was the foundation of all ninjutsu.
“Once I raise Agility to 30 points, I’ll restart boosting Constitution—perfect, since my body is about to enter its rapid growth phase.”
Though he had long-term plans, occasional adjustments and adaptability were still necessary.
Next:
The core of his skills lay in Jin Gang Sealing.
The core of his attributes lay in Constitution.
With the Third Shinobi World War showing signs of outbreak, Fujinaka Genma believed that before it turned brutal, he could reach a level where he could move freely among the Jonin—that would fulfill his goal.
But right now, he was still some distance from that.
At midnight, Fujinaka Genma slept punctually.
The next day at five a.m., he woke up promptly for morning training.
After the morning session, Fujinaka Genma checked his system data: Constitution +0.2.
Excluding the Iron Bones talent bonus, it was +0.1.
Compared to the past year, this was impressive—proof his rapid growth phase had begun.
“Training must not stop!”
“I must also pay attention to diet and nutritional supplements.”
Silently reminding himself, Fujinaka Genma ate breakfast, donned his gear, and stepped out.
At Kushina Uzumaki’s house, Minato had already arrived, but Jiraiya and Tsunade had not.
So he began teaching Minato the techniques of the Wind Style: Spiral Shuriken.
Whether Minato could master it depended on himself.
Perhaps with improved chakra control and Fujinaka Genma’s guidance, Minato might naturally grasp it.
After receiving the technique, Minato did not train immediately; instead, he smiled at the kunai clenched in Fujinaka Genma’s mouth. “Genma, shall I teach Itachi a jutsu too?”
Fujinaka Genma’s eyes lit up.
“Wait!”
Kushina Uzumaki, watching the scene, stopped Minato from speaking and grinned. “Let me guess what jutsu Itachi’ll teach.”
Minato gave Fujinaka Genma a helpless look and chuckled. “Fine!”
Kushina Uzumaki pinched her chin, then suddenly said: “Multiple Shadow Clone Shuriken Technique, right?”
“Hah! Itachi got it!”
Minato grinned foolishly.
Fujinaka Genma felt like he’d been force-fed dog food. He stared at the two and blurted: “Sister Kushina, Itachi and Brother Minato are truly made for each other.”
“Really?”
Kushina Uzumaki laughed, slightly embarrassed, her joy radiant.
Minato secretly gave a thumbs-up, his smile gentler than ever. “The Multiple Shadow Clone Shuriken Technique suits Itachi perfectly, Genma. I heard from Kushina Itachi’ve developed a Lightning Style technique like the Lightning Blade—apply it to your kunai, and with this jutsu, the effect should be outstanding.”
Fujinaka Genma was about to nod when Kushina Uzumaki suddenly wore a knowing smirk. “Genma, I know exactly which jutsu Itachi most want to learn from Brother Minato.”
Fujinaka Genma instantly sensed trouble. Minato, however, was curious. “Oh? Which jutsu is that?”
“The Flying Thunder God Technique, of course, dummy!”
Kushina Uzumaki laughed.
Fujinaka Genma couldn’t help but pinch the bridge of his nose.
Having a teacher who exposes her own student’s secrets was sometimes a true disaster.
But he sensed Kushina had done it deliberately—to help him.
Minato paused, then smiled thoughtfully. “The Flying Thunder God Technique isn’t appropriate right now.”
Fujinaka Genma quickly waved his hands. “Brother Minato, I love the Multiple Shadow Clone Shuriken Technique—it’s perfect for me right now.”
“As for the Flying Thunder God Technique, let’s wait until Itachi become Hokage. My focus now is still on Jin Gang Sealing.”
No sooner had he finished than a wave of killing intent swept over him from the side.
“Shit. I messed up.”
He turned and saw Kushina Uzumaki glaring at him with murderous intent. “Genma, do Itachi think Teacher can’t become Hokage?”
Sweat broke on his forehead. He rushed to correct himself. “Of course not!”
“Itachi’re far more suited to be Hokage than Brother Minato.”
“But I’m sure Itachi’ll choose to let Brother Minato take the opportunity!”
He quickly shot Minato a pleading glance. “Brother Minato, am I right?”
“Ah, well… of course! Kushina is definitely more suited to be Hokage!”
Minato hurriedly agreed with a smile.
“That’s better.”
Kushina Uzumaki sniffed, temporarily letting them off the hook.
Fujinaka Genma and Minato exchanged a glance and shared a silent laugh.
Half an hour later, after Fujinaka Genma mastered the Multiple Shadow Clone Shuriken Technique, Jiraiya and Tsunade arrived one after the other.
“This jutsu has a wide range—it’s best to try it outside the village.”
Fujinaka Genma suggested.
“No problem. Leave it to Minato.”
Jiraiya shrugged.
Minato nodded, used Flying Thunder God, and transported everyone outside the village in two jumps, to a vast open field.
“Go ahead—show us what Itachi’ve got.”
Minato smiled.
Kushina Uzumaki immediately raised her fist. “Ganbatte!!”
Fujinaka Genma nodded, took a deep breath, and began rapidly gathering chakra in his right palm.
To be honest, this was his first time performing this jutsu.
Massive chakra swirled and coalesced into a Rasengan.
Then, Wind Release chakra surged in—the Rasengan instantly expanded into a giant windmill, emitting a piercing, shrill hum.
Wind Style: Spiral Shuriken—complete!
At that moment, Kushina Uzumaki and the other three stared at the jutsu Fujinaka Genma slowly raised.
Jiraiya couldn’t help but praise: “The shape transformation and chakra nature transformation are both at their peak—this is an S-rank forbidden jutsu!”
Jutsu rankings were judged not by power, but by difficulty of mastery.
One glance was enough for Jiraiya to confirm: this was an extraordinarily difficult technique.
Looking at Fujinaka Genma, Jiraiya suddenly felt the urge to crack open the boy’s skull and see what was inside.
A ten-year-old boy inventing such a jutsu—this talent was monstrous, even surpassing Minato’s.
Tsunade’s expression turned grave. “If Itachi can’t throw this jutsu, it’ll injure Itachi first.”
“Sukui!”
Kushina Uzumaki genuinely rejoiced for Fujinaka Genma, filled with pride.
“What a beautiful masterpiece!”
Minato watched the spinning windmill, smiling warmly.
“Teacher Kushina, Brother Minato, Jiraiya-sama, Tsunade-sama—get ready. I’m going to throw it!”
Fujinaka Genma warned them, then, under the gaze of all four, flicked his right hand—the Wind Style: Spiral Shuriken shot out with perfect stability.
Every eye followed its flight.
After traveling over a hundred meters, the Spiral Shuriken struck an obstacle—and before all their eyes, it exploded into a massive sphere of light.
“Fall back!”
His expression changed; Jiraiya shouted and leaped backward.
Fujinaka Genma and the others also retreated swiftly.
“Watch out—the storm’s coming!”
As he landed, Fujinaka Genma immediately warned them.
Jiraiya pressed his hands to the ground, and a massive earthen wall rose instantly.
Immediately after, a deafening roar of wind filled their ears as a terrifying storm swept in, hurling sand and stones.
After the gale passed, they quickly approached the epicenter of the jutsu and saw a crater over a hundred meters in diameter.
Everyone except Fujinaka Genma and Kushina Uzumaki stared in stunned silence.
The destruction was too immense—if it had struck an enemy, death would have been certain.
Jiraiya and Tsunade had both lived through the wars and once fought against the so-called Half-God, Danzō, and had seen many powerful warriors.
But a single jutsu capable of such devastation was exceedingly rare.
“Wind Release jutsu—this is likely the strongest one!”
Jiraiya remarked.
Minato nodded in agreement.
Turning to Fujinaka Genma, Jiraiya rubbed his hands, slightly embarrassed: “Genma, could Itachi teach me this jutsu?”
“I can teach Itachi my own jutsu in return—how about that? I know countless techniques, many of them unique!”
Asking a child for something at his age made Jiraiya feel awkward.
Kushina Uzumaki appeared instantly behind Fujinaka Genma, smiling confidently at Jiraiya: “Master Jiraiya, Genma doesn’t lack jutsu—but he doesn’t have a summoning animal yet.”
Minato smiled awkwardly beside them; Tsunade crossed her arms, watching with a amused smirk.
“Summoning animal?”
Jiraiya hesitated, stroking his chin: “The summoning beasts of Myōboku Mountain require a master-disciple lineage.”
“But Genma has already taken Itachi as his master!”
Kushina Uzumaki was ready—she pointed at Minato with a smile: “Would it be a problem if Genma took Minato as his master?”
“Huh??”
Minato blinked, surprised the request had turned toward him.
Seeing Fujinaka Genma’s hopeful expression, Minato smiled gently: “Of course, no problem.”
Fujinaka Genma beamed and bowed deeply: “Master Minato!”
