Chapter 316: The Second Faction

She urged the two to go rest quickly, and began editing the message Guanghui had sent.

Guanghui's writing was quite good; Cheng Shuili made a few casual tweaks and felt it was ready to send.

She copied the message and opened the regional channel.

As soon as she pasted the text, a new sub‑area announcement arrived.

【Current regional faction "Dark Star" has been successfully created! Lord is "Ba Tie Lu Fei"!】

Oh?

The second faction has arrived.

Cheng Shuili wasn't in a hurry to send the recruitment notice.

She opened the faction page and found the "Declare War" option in an unremarkable but slightly somber‑colored corner.

Its interface was designed with a strong sense of oppression.

The background resembled solidified dark‑red blood clots, and the center displayed an icon of a broken sword crossed with a damaged shield!

Beside it was a clear prompt:

After declaring war, members of both factions are hostile, cannot trade, cannot private chat!

During the war, players from either side may invade the opponent's territory, earning points by killing opposing players or destroying territorial facilities; each player gains corresponding contribution points!

When the war time ends, the side with higher points wins! The victor can fully take over the loser's territory and warehouse resources!

Indeed, territories can be invaded.

Cheng Shuili shook her head and sent out the recruitment message.

Because Guanghui and Xinxue needed rest, the initial review tasks were given to Ailin and Zhou Zhuxing.

Cheng Shuili meant that Zhou Zhuxing would take the lead, but that person lacked a chat panel, so she asked Ailin to provide one.

Regional channel.

【Wu Ya Zuo Fei Ji】: Black Feather is recruiting, Lord recruiting directly! Currently recruiting the first batch of core members, requirements: able to enter elite Instance, or possess rare specialties! After basic review, must submit 500 units of basic resource forms as sincerity. Joining Black Feather grants: precise disaster warnings, full information sharing, team attribute aura, a single‑room dormitory in the territory! Those willing and qualified should apply via private chat ID Ai Mi Li, recruitment runs until 12 pm, no later applications!

The message was like cold water poured into hot oil; the regional channel, which had just been lively, erupted again!

"WTF! Black Feather is recruiting! Wuya Dalao is recruiting personally! Charge!"

"500 units of basic resources? That's way too harsh! Everyone wants to join Instances now; demanding this much is just looting the fire!"

"If you think it's pricey, don't go. They list the price clearly and don't force you to pay. Besides, look at the benefits! This compensation is definitely worth the cost!"

"Being able to enter elite Instance... sorry. I'm a struggling newbie in difficult Instances now; I don't understand the big players' world."

"Honestly, the 500‑resource threshold is clever. It filters out freeloaders and quickly accumulates construction resources. Black Feather's move is pretty good."

While many were discussing, Ba Tie Lu Fei suddenly posted a message.

【Ba Tie Lu Fei】: @Wu Ya Zuo Fei Ji first congratulations to the Lord for creating a faction! Also, Dark Star is recruiting, no threshold, just sign a mutual protection agreement and develop together. All are welcome to join.

Congratulations?

Black Feather was founded yesterday, and this person is now congratulating her.

I'm afraid the congratulations are fake; the latter part is the point, right? How is that different from "courtesy before force"?

Cheng Shuili felt a bit annoyed, but said nothing.

She can't stop the other side from recruiting, can she?

Moreover, saying that another faction's conditions are better, that temptation makes one unwilling to join Black Feather.

Such people, even if truly recruited, are destined to defect.

Speaking of defection, Cheng Shuili opened the faction page again for a glance.

A player leaving a faction requires consent from the Lord or a sub‑Lord with high privileges; whether the Lord agrees is highly subjective.

Either give some supplies, or some Game Coin; if you don't want to give any, that's fine too.

Directly leaving is called "defection"; the player's ID will be followed by "XX faction defector".

In this case the faction won't clean its gates, lest it be laughed at by other factions and onlookers.

In short, joining a faction is easy; leaving is not so simple.

The relationship between player and faction is a two‑way choice, but once inside, the player becomes a definite weak group.

Cheng Shuili's high threshold, compared to Ba Tie Lu Fei's no‑threshold side, is actually better for players.

The recruitment notice sparked a new round of discussion.

"The two factions have completely different styles! Black Feather is elite, high threshold, good benefits. Dark Star is for the masses, no threshold but requires shared risk. So hard to choose…"

"I guess Wuya Dalao's precise warning is that they knew a week's disaster a day in advance last time, right? That ability is too BUGgy! For that…"

"I remember Wuya Dalao's transport must be super luxurious, and there are teammates who can cook? For the single‑room dorm and food, charge!"

"A single room! That's a real single room! A friend told me the biggest factions can house up to two hundred people, and all two hundred can fit… How big must Wuya Dalao's territory be?"

"Heh, they sound nice now, but later you'll just be cannon fodder? 500 resources buys you a contract of servitude!"

"I can smell the sourness from upstairs even through the screen. Does the lord need to trap you with those 500 resources? Look at what's in the warehouse; any single item costs more than that."

"Enough talk, I'm heading out. For Black Feather's single room and warnings, I'm going all out!"

"From a recruitment strategy view, Black Feather follows an elite‑troop path, its core circle will be solid. Dark Star goes for numbers; later it may be chaotic but has many people. Long‑term, Black Feather looks better."

"The one upstairs sounds like just because they favor it, you can get in…"

"I'll still go to Dark Star; I like down‑to‑earth factions. You Black Feather stay lofty, I'm out."

They argue among themselves, but the person who decided to join Black Feather has already found Ailin to sign up.

Cheng Shuili went to Ailin to ask about the situation; after hearing that her private chat had exploded, she was satisfied and closed the regional channel.

Everything went smoothly, and Cheng Shuili felt quite good.

She stood up, walked around in the vehicle, and when she planned to check the territory, she suddenly spotted a forgotten golden treasure chest.

Cheng Shuili slapped her head, instantly recalling that the Instance rewards also included two golden treasure chests, one silver chest, a special equipment box, and a selectable item card!

Besides, the basic rewards of the Hell-level Instance, random material boxes, random card packs, random special equipment draw tickets, right!

Forgot, I forgot everything!

Yesterday I held a meeting all night, and today after getting up I'm busy again with this recruitment message.

Cheng Shuili frowned, realizing that if this continued she would definitely forget some important things; she called for 001 and told it all the things she needed to be busy with recently.

Especially the matter of predicting next week's disaster—when the time comes, 001 is supposed to remind her!
