Chapter 786: Look, He Agreed
Pig demons!
A large group of pig demons, green-faced and fanged, hideous visages, bloody qi soaring to the heavens.
Making one have absolutely no appetite.
But these pig demons clearly had quite the appetite; a portion of them stared at Ao Yu and Tang Luo, mouths slightly agape, drool dripping onto the ground.
Actually emitting a sizzling sound, directly corroding out one or two small pits in the bluestone slabs.
Tang Luo lowered his head to glance at the stone slabs underfoot; so these slabs weren't originally pitted and uneven.
"Truly disgusting." Ao Yu murmured, glanced at her own hand, gave a light shake, and flung off all the stained fresh blood.
Interestingly, the corpses she had just directly chopped to pieces did not reveal pig demon forms.
It seems human form is their true prototype?
"Huff..."
"Huff..."
The pig demons of Gao Laozhuang gradually encircled the two, Tang Luo and Ao Yu, not attacking immediately.
Stifled breathing sounds rose and fell in succession all around.
"Question!" Tang Luo suddenly raised his hand and asked loudly, "Do you usually eat people or pork?"
This question stunned the many pig demons.
Utterly fearless, or brains full of holes?
Judging by this murderous woman's behavior, it seems to be the former.
"Who has guts this big, daring to come to my Gao Laozhuang and stir up trouble?" A lazy, drawling voice rang out from the end of the road.
A pale-faced young master sat on a sedan chair carried by four burly men, looking like he suffered from kidney deficiency.
"Young Master!"
"Young Master!"
The surrounding pig-headed demons all spoke up, their pig faces revealing anthropomorphic fawning expressions.
The one called Young Master in Gao Laozhuang is naturally Gao Yuanwai's son.
Given his kidney-deficient expression, even without the words "empty void" embroidered on his clothes, Tang Luo unilaterally decided to call him the Kidney-Deficient Young Master.
The pig demons parted a path.
The Kidney-Deficient Young Master Gao Shenxu sat on the sedan chair and "entered," looking down from above at Tang Luo and Ao Yu: "I most like you fools who, relying on having a bit of cultivation, rush to our Gao Laozhuang to deliver yourselves to death. You've added far too much amusement to my daily life."
"You should know, staying here all the time is very bitter!"
Gao Shenxu's head suddenly turned into a pig head, roaring out the second half of the sentence.
Flying spittle could be seen.
At this moment, Tang Luo and Ao Yu reached a high consensus, simultaneously taking a step back.
To avoid being attacked by biological weapons.
"Sorry, sorry." Gao Shenxu chuckled, keeping his huge pig head, "Haven't had a toy this fine in decades, got a little excited."
"Can I kill him?" Ao Yu exhaled and asked.
"Wait, let me ask Zhu Bajie first." Tang Luo said, "Gao Shenxu, your dad isn't Zhu Bajie, is he?"
"Zhu Bajie, that damn fool isn't worthy? Also, don't give this Young Master random names."
"Fine, kill him." Tang Luo waved his hand.
Ao Yu reached out and grabbed; a stone slab flew up, caught in her hand.
Flames emerged from her palm, igniting the stone slab.
In the span of a few breaths, she burned and refined it into a black sharp sword, flames still burning along the blade.
Serving as a temporary weapon.
Usually speaking, true dragons all command clouds and rain, each also having their own relatively proficient or unique aspect.
Ao Yu Lie was relatively skilled at summoning wind and rain, wind rain thunder lightning, but not "fire" — at most a symbolic gesture.
Ao Yu, on the other hand, seems to have quite profound attainments in the aspect of fire.
The flame sword swept horizontally; gorgeous flames condensed into an arcing sword light, instantly slicing the surrounding pig demons in two.
Not a single drop of fresh blood flowed out; the wounds were charred black.
Including those four burly men carrying the sedan chair, likewise bisected with one sword.
The sedan chair fell to the ground; the incomparably arrogant Gao Shenxu tumbled from his seat, extremely wretched.
"... Thought he had some tricks, didn't expect he's truly kidney-deficient." Tang Luo said, "So domestic pigs are weaker?"
The rest of Gao Laozhuang's people, their pig heads were all green-faced fanged wild boar heads.
This Gao Shenxu, however, had a domestic pig's head, lacking ferocity, ugliness to spare.
Originally Tang Luo thought he might be a bit stronger.
Now looking, sure enough wild boars are stronger, one pig tops ten tigers, ten pigs create genesis.
Gao Shenxu, fallen on the ground, simply didn't get up, sprawled there laughing wildly: "Hahaha! Really dared to make a move, dirtied this Young Master's clothes; in a bit, this Young Master will make you eat all this filth mouthful by mouthful."
Unknown where his confidence comes from.
His father Gao Yuanwai?
Anyway impossible to be Zhu Bajie; Gao Shenxu even called Zhu Bajie a "fool."
The two are not in the same camp.
Ao Yu said not a word, raised the flame sword in her hand, about to end Gao Shenxu's life.
Just then, a streak of golden light flashed past; a powerful hand seized Ao Yu's flame sword, completely ignoring the blazing flames atop it.
"Amitabha."
This is a sacred Buddhist site; you two donors have trespassed.
The one who arrived was a half-naked arhat whose body seemed forged of gold.
"Trespassed?" Ao Yu sneered, lashing out with a whip kick at the arhat.
The arhat raised a hand to block, his massive frame unmoving, then shoved back, sending Ao Yu retreating several steps.
"Hahaha!" Gao Shenxu laughed, "Don't kill them, don't kill them—these two are still useful to me and my father, and for a long time."
The arhat's emotionless gaze swept over Gao Shenxu, causing his unrestrained laughter to gradually cease.
"You two donors may leave now; this matter will not be pursued further." The arhat held one hand upright before his chest.
"All that fuss just to send this cannon fodder?" Tang Luo yawned, "I thought a bodhisattva would come—kill them."
Ao Yu glanced at Tang Luo.
Kill him? If possible, she would of course annihilate the arhat before her.
But the problem was, she couldn't beat him!
Even uninjured, she wouldn't be a match for the arhat before her, let alone as she was—a wounded body just emerged from Yingchou Gully.
"The Dharma is boundless." Tang Luo intoned a Buddhist chant amid the astonished gazes of the arhat and Ao Yu.
He painted various blood sigils and flung them onto Ao Yu.
Incidentally, he used the Merit Jade Lotus to consecrate and heal her wounds.
"Alright, you're strengthened—now attack."
All manner of enhancements and healings completed in an instant—ultimate support, truly deserving of the name.
"You——" The arhat suddenly felt a sense of absurdity.
"The Dharma is boundless?"
"Poor cannon fodder, sacred Buddhist ground? There is no place under heaven where this seat cannot go."
As Tang Luo spoke, Ao Yu appeared before the arhat and unleashed a straightforward punch!
The astonished arhat reached out to catch it, but was blown back three steps by the fist.
Ao Yu's enhancement effect was top-tier among those strengthened by Tang Luo.
Gaining the upper hand in one move, Ao Yu launched a storm of attacks like wind and rain, simultaneously half-dragonifying—scales covering her arms, a dragon tail sprouting.
The howling wind sounded like a dragon's roar.
She drove the arhat into relentless retreat.
Both rose into midair, the illusory dragon form flickering in and out, while the arhat blazed with golden light.
Tang Luo approached the dazed Gao Shenxu: "Shenxu, take me to find Zhu Bajie."
Gao Shenxu shuddered violently, nearly leaping from the ground, pointing at Tang Luo with a fierce exterior but inner fear: "You're done! You all are done, don't you know? We——"
Tang Luo retreated two steps, drew the Xuan Bian, formed it into the Xuan Bian Bow, and slowly drew the string.
At that moment, Gao Shenxu reacted swiftly—without a word, he turned and fled.
Then an arrow destroyed his left arm, sending him crashing to the ground.
"Come, take me to find Zhu Bajie—I don't want to say this a third time." Tang Luo approached, voice gentle.
Just then, the ground welled up with a thick blood-red mist; the corpses originally lying there flew up and reassembled.
All the pig demons resurrected on the spot, roaring as they charged toward Tang Luo.
Tang Luo raised a hand and casually slapped downward.
A colossal handprint appeared in the sky and descended.
It brushed past the arhat, incidentally bringing him down as well.
The earth dragon flipped over—heaven shook, mountains trembled.
Yet it was utterly silent.
The entire territory of Gao Lao Zhuang suddenly sank by over half a meter relative to the surrounding ground, except for the most conspicuous garden of Gao Yuanwai; all other buildings instantly shattered.
Together with those pig demons, they turned into a heap of debris that could drift away on the wind.
The arhat lay prone three meters behind Tang Luo in the "Gao Lao Pit," motionless.
Gao Shenxu was unharmed, sitting cross-legged before Tang Luo, his body trembling violently.
"Not dead—entrusted to you." Tang Luo said.
"……Good." Midair, Ao Yu saw Gao Lao Zhuang sink, forming a colossal handprint.
Aren't you the Great Heavenly Demon?
Again the Dharma is boundless, again the heavenly divine palm—why does this feel so like the bald donkey of Buddhism?
Ao Yu instinctively sensed a conspiracy, but now she could only follow this heavenly demon Xuanzang down this path to the end.
Gao Shenxu rolled and crawled ahead, "leading the way" as he ran toward the garden.
Ao Yu then descended and furiously pummeled the wounded arhat.
Gao Yuanwai's garden was spared by Tang Luo; its guards, servants, and similar roles also survived.
The gate was opened by them, presenting a posture of respectfully welcoming Tang Luo's entry.
"……Venerable monk (?) arriving from afar, remiss in distant welcome."
Gao Yuanwai was a portly middle-aged man, far more presentable than his son.
"Hmm, knowing is enough." Tang Luo flicked his finger—Gao Shenxu's pig brain exploded.
Blood spattered all over Gao Yuanwai.
Gao Yuanwai's smile froze, then he laughed even more radiantly, completely ignoring his son's "death": "Master, are you here to find Zhu Bajie?"
"Lead the way."
"Leading the way is not impossible. Only, that pig demon committed heinous crimes—actually detained here by the foremost Buddhist authority, the great venerable monk of the Great Thunderclap Temple. We are merely the unfortunate ones implicated by the pig demon, with no authority to decide." Gao Yuanwai wore a sorrowful expression.
"Little White Dragon, bring over the one who can make decisions." Tang Luo said.
The Arhat flew over and crashed heavily beside Tang Luo's feet.
This made Gao Yuanwai's eyes twitch.
Tang Luo grabbed the Arhat and asked, "I want to release Zhu Bajie—do you agree or not?"
After asking, he pressed down on the nearly lifeless Arhat's head, making him nod.
"See, he agreed." He casually dropped it, Tang Luo looked at Gao Yuanwai, "Lead the way."
"...... Alright." Gao Yuanwai dared not say more.
As the implicated "prison guards," they are immortal and can do as they please in Gao Lao Zhuang's half-mu three-fen plot of land.
Buddhism does not allow pig demons to escape trouble, which can be said to be indirectly "supporting and cleaning up after" them.
But the Arhats before us have all been beaten into dead dogs.
A true hero does not suffer present losses; Gao Yuanwai certainly does not want to endure such torment.
