Chapter 875: Heavenly Disaster Approaching

~11 min read 2,028 words

In the Chaos Void, Tang Luo took out the Summoning Heart and contacted Nezha: "I'm on my way, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine," Nezha said. "I need to hide; they won't be able to find me for a while. However, the Underworld, the Six Paths of Reincarnation has already been established by them and is expanding."

Once the Six Paths of Reincarnation is fully established and encompasses the whole world, Nezha's hiding places will be greatly reduced.

"Have you found that little monkey?" Nezha briefly explained the current situation and then asked.

Although it hasn't been long since Tang Luo contacted him, over a month has passed on Nezha's side.

"I've already tried, but I couldn't find him," Tang Luo said.

The Summoning Heart isn't omnipotent; as long as there has been contact, it can definitely locate the person.

The Summoning Heart can only sense the worlds that Tang Luo and the others have visited, knowing the people there.

It cannot sense the people that the Summoning knows, no matter where they are.

Perhaps Sun Wutian is already dead, perhaps he is on the verge of death to the point that even the Summoning Heart cannot confirm, or perhaps he is somewhere where the Summoning Heart's "search" is blocked.

"I hope that little monkey is okay. By the way, in the external Chaos Void and the depths of the Endless Sea, the Nine Heavens are no different—will you get lost if you come out?" Nezha asked.

Nezha knows well that with Tang Luo's current strength, stepping outside the realm won't cause trouble, but if he keeps getting lost and sinking… even the Three Buddhas and the Three Pure Ones would be in danger.

"Yes. I've gotten lost; I can only roughly sense the direction with the Summoning Heart, and the surroundings keep changing, so whether I can find my way smoothly depends on luck," Tang Luo said.

The Summoning Heart is not a GPS, nor a map; it is merely a very vague sense.

Tang Luo's situation is like that of a person with no professional skills drifting at sea, holding only an eight-hand compass that works intermittently.

After hearing Tang Luo's words, Nezha didn't know whether to say Tang Luo was reckless or to be moved that he would rush out to save people without a second thought.

"Oh, I've discovered a world, but it's not the one you're in." Tang Luo saw a point of light appear in the Chaos Void before him as he approached.

As he drew nearer, it kept "expanding" and changing. That was a world.

"Contact me again when you arrive," Nezha said.

Tang Luo put away the Summoning Heart and walked toward that world; after a few steps he was already near its boundary, and the surrounding terrifying turbulence gradually subsided.

This world is a massive planet.

It is simply a solitary planet, with no other planets around, but there is a lot of debris similar to an asteroid belt.

A deathly silence and darkness prevail, with no trace of life to be seen.

However, in some places one can faintly see traces of former civilization.

Most likely it has completely died out.

Tang Luo is not an archaeologist, nor does he have any sentimental feelings about the rise and fall of civilizations, the cycle of life and death; after a brief stop he immediately left.

Continuing on, Tang Luo "passed" many more worlds.

There are worlds with life and civilization, and there are utterly dead worlds; their numbers are roughly equal.

There exist systems similar to a solar system, as well as pure continent worlds (where the sun, moon, and stars revolve around the continent).

Some worlds are vast, with abundant heavenly and earthly vital energy, typical of individual cultivation worlds where power resides in oneself.

There are also worlds like Earth, developing technological civilization.

The appearance of worlds and their civilizational development have no regular pattern; it is not that "continent-type worlds" have power residing in oneself while planetary or stellar system types develop technology.

In fact, it is related to the heavenly and earthly vital energy; places where such energy is abundant easily give rise to systematic personal cultivation civilizations.

The two kinds of civilization are not simply mutually exclusive; you can have one without the other.

Rather, each has its own emphasis.

If it were Kong Ming and the others, they would probably unconsciously write in their minds an analysis report titled "Civilizational Development in Different Worlds" or something similar.

Tang Luo just glanced around and moved on.

He also had no interaction with the people of that world, as he currently has a "mission" on him.

Passing by was merely to top up a little—although unnecessary, it wouldn't take much of Tang Luo's time; just passing by would do.

It was harmless and convenient.

"Boom!"

A dull sound came.

A certain world had already slightly approached the edge of its position, where two masters were fighting fiercely.

To many people, this place has already become a forbidden zone that cannot be stepped into, containing only deathly silence and void.

Yet the battle of the two great masters still produced a tremendous momentum.

They unleashed their power without any restraint.

"Is there still a road ahead?"

"I can't see the road ahead! I can't see the road ahead! The Martial Way has an end; we have no road ahead!"

"Ahhhhh!"

Two burly men collided, wildly swinging their fists with no technique, only brute strength.

It seemed they wanted to discover the road ahead through such the most brutal life-and-death struggle.

One does not know whether those who have long pursued the other shore and transcendence, like the Tathagata and others, have ever experienced such passionate years.

Tang Luo passed through this world, glanced at the clash of the two passionate burly men, took a step forward, and disappeared.

The terrifying violent power of the collision instantly ceased, leaving only some ripples still surging.

The two burly men kept their punching postures, motionless, until the white-haired figure completely vanished, then they suddenly relaxed, almost falling from the high altitude.

Just then, the other party glanced at them, like absolute-zero icy water pouring down from the heavens, dousing them on the head and completely extinguishing the heat and flames they had ignited.

Nevertheless, it also saved their lives.

If they continued fighting like that, it's uncertain whether they could see the road ahead, but death is certain.

"Uh—looks like there is still a road ahead." After a while, one of the burly men said weakly.

"Yeah, we should go back and heal our wounds; the road ahead is still long."

"You're right!"

"They no longer had any fighting spirit, each returning home."

"He had successfully stopped a brawl, unexpectedly granting Tang Luo some merit power."

"Tang Luo didn't take it to heart, continuing to search for the world where Ne Zha and the others were."

"Three days later—three days of Earth time, which is the standard time of the Gods and Demons Game."

"In the Chaotic Void, time has no meaning; Tang Luo naturally uses Earth time to measure, which is the same principle as the Heavenly Court's 'century'."

"Their time is not equal to that of other worlds."

"Found it."

"Tang Luo looked at the world before him, whose aura seemed slightly familiar, and with a probe of his summoning heart confirmed it was the world where Ne Zha and Sun Wutian were, stepping into it in one stride."

"Looking down at the land beneath his feet, Tang Luo retracted his summoning heart and did not immediately contact Ne Zha."

"It was no longer needed; contacting him would also consume the power stored within."

"The brocade kasaya on him and his white hair fluttered without wind, and Tang Luo's calm, serene aura slowly faded."

"Like a formerly calm sea surface, it began to surge with terrifying waves."

"Surging momentum rose steadily, as if a vortex had appeared in the sky, churning and tearing apart everything around it, and this vortex kept expanding."

"A 'black void' appeared, seeming to want to completely engulf this world."

"The world beneath his feet began to tremble under Tang Luo's continually released momentum."

"Ordinary people, though unable to sense the aura Tang Luo released, instinctively felt a kind of fear, as if the sky would collapse and the earth overturn in the next breath, bringing a calamity that would topple heaven."

"Panic, tension, unease, fear, and dread spread."

"They didn't know why they felt this way, why they inexplicably had such a feeling."

"Ordinary people merely sensed unease and panic instinctively, at most accompanied by some breathing difficulty."

"But the cultivators of this world could clearly sense what an impending heavenly disaster feels like!"

"It was like a giant hand that had already covered the whole world, ready to fall at any moment, anywhere."

"In the high sky, the invisible 'black void' was expanding."

"This power is still merely momentum for now, but it could at any moment turn into actual destructive force."

"Next, it would utterly destroy this world, or level everything on the land."

"Depending on their cultivation strength and breadth of vision, many people made different judgments."

"Amid these conflicting judgments, the sole point of agreement was that the master of this momentum could bring an apocalyptic heavenly disaster, and killing oneself would be as easy as pinching an ant."

"The terrifying aura of annihilation continued to rage, surge, and climb."

"It proclaimed its own existence."

"Then it suddenly vanished, everything returning to calm, as quiet as if nothing had happened."

"Tang Luo stood suspended in the high sky, his fluttering white hair and brocade kasaya coming to a halt."

"As always, calm and serene."

"All right, he had already said hello; soon someone would voluntarily appear before him."

"Look for someone?"

"No, from the start Tang Luo never intended to painstakingly search for people, to find the hiding Ne Zha or Sun Wutian; he chose to let everyone come find him."

"Relying solely on his momentum, Tang Luo shook this world, as if giving the whole world an unfriendly greeting, telling it——I have arrived."

"Now those cultivators, including Qin Guang Wang and others, all knew of Tang Luo's existence."

"Hmm, Ne Zha also knew."

"After finishing the greeting and announcing his descent, not long later Ne Zha appeared before Tang Luo."

"He wore the lotus armor he occasionally donned—a new magical treasure he himself had later refined—with the Heaven-Mixing Silk floating behind him."

"He used to be a wealthy possessor of many magical treasures, but now only the Heaven-Mixing Silk remains."

"The Fire-tip Spear, Heaven-Earth Ring, Nine Dragon Divine Fire Cover, and other magical treasures had all been destroyed or lost when the Mountain Sea Realm shattered."

"As for the Gold Brick, it remained, but Ne Zha gave it to Tang Luo, who had already refined it into the Profound Transformation."

"I thought you would keep a low profile."

"Ne Zha looked at Tang Luo and said, reaching out; the Duplicate Register of Life and Death appeared in his hand, which he threw toward Tang Luo."

"\"No need. \" Tang Luo took the Duplicate Register of Life and Death and gave it a casual glance."

"The remnants of the Black and White Impermanence inside had recovered somewhat, but still showed no signs of awakening."

"\"Do you think those fellows came for the Duplicate Register of Life and Death, or for the Black and White Impermanence inside? \" Ne Zha asked."

"\"I don't know, and it doesn't matter. \" Tang Luo shook the Duplicate Register of Life and Death in his hand, looked around, and said, \"As a monk, I actually don't care much about your purposes. Of course, if you want to speak, I will definitely listen. \""

"He is a \"Listener\" faction—whether he listens depends entirely on his mood."

"As they spoke, the originally clear sky suddenly darkened."

"Black yin qi surged and billowed, filling every direction around the two, above and below."

"Within the yin qi, pairs of red apparitions emerged, accompanied by the clashing of weapons and armor and the shrill wails of ghosts and wolves."

"Underworld Yin Soldiers!"
