The area was vast and open, filled with boulders of varying sizes.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Some of the mountain rocks were taller than a human. Jeremy’s eyes scanned the surroundings. He thought this rocky terrain was unsuitable for worm beasts to inhabit.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The ground was filled with rocks, and the underground likely contained more. So, where was this sense of crisis coming from?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jeremy Night used his eye ability to scan the area, activating his second ability. Jeremy continued to examine the creature, noting its hard, scaly skin.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Its legs bore sharp, claw-like talons, capable of tearing through a lifeline beast.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jeremy didn’t move an inch from his spot. It swung its tail suddenly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The lizard’s tail appeared in a flash before Jeremy Night. He quickly used the flat side of his blade to block it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Boom!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The tail struck the blade, and the impact sent Jeremy’s body flying backward like a projectile.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He arced through the air before crashing to the ground. It moved toward the human prey, intent on consuming him to regain its energy.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Each step of the Horned Lizard created a booming sound as it advanced.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A hundred meters away, Jeremy leaned against a large tree, blood dripping from his forehead.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He hadn’t expected to be injured so badly. As he struggled to stand, he heard loud footsteps.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His eyes flickered with understanding—the lizard was coming for him. Already badly hurt, he knew he’d be trampled if he didn’t move.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>With maximum effort, he stood up.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Using his eyesight, he saw the Horned Lizard approaching. Boom!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Small explosions occurred, but none of the bullets pierced the lizard’s skin. They fell to the ground, ineffective.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jeremy was stunned. He knew the Tier-6 Lizard was strong, but he hadn’t expected the bullets to fail completely.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Horned Lizard, now annoyed, quickened its pace.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Seeing this, Jeremy ran backward. He knew it was foolish to confront the beast directly, only Harris could handle it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A few minutes later, he noticed the Horned Lizard still pursuing him.
