Chapter 3103

~5 min read 949 words

Several research institutions supporting different development methodologies are now debating fiercely.

They're almost ready to fight.

Some support spending fewer resources and more time, studying slowly before development... others suggest throwing caution to the wind, investing everything and building a base on the Moon first.

After all, time is money now! Establishing a foothold on the Moon is more important than anything else.

Xiao Ma stared blankly at the conference room, saying he had no expertise in this field and couldn't understand a thing—he'd just come to fill a seat and show his support... Grandmaster Dama, however... listened with great interest, occasionally jotting notes in his notebook.

977 "Interesting! Have you finally decided to vigorously develop science?"

Su Han's curious voice suddenly echoed through the conference room.

"Who is that!"

"How could this... this is a classified meeting!"

"Where are the guards? How did someone sneak in?!"

"Shut up! Two Grandmasters are right here—who could possibly have sneaked in!"

All the researchers were stunned, doubting their own senses.

Grandmaster Xiao Ma's body tensed instantly.

But then he noticed Grandmaster Dama had paused, then wore an expression of keen interest... immediately, Xiao Ma furrowed his brow, thought for a moment, and cautiously asked, "... Mr. Su Han?"

"Did I cause you any trouble?"

Su Han appeared out of thin air in one corner of the room, holding a tub of Häagen-Dazs; he smiled wryly, "Just bought some snacks from Dianrui... took a quick stroll around the globe... didn't expect to hear you discussing this issue when I passed through the capital."

It wasn't that Su Han deliberately eavesdropped—his Observation Haki was simply too strong.

Every sound within the entire capital reached his ears... for him, listening to information had become an instinct.

"Of course not!"

Grandmaster Dama nodded with a smile, "Your authority ranks among the very highest in current China—even surpassing ours."

"Not just the Moon project... you have the right to inquire about any current Chinese initiative."

The room fell into silence.

The researchers looked at each other, then all swallowed hard, lowering their heads in quiet submission.

The fact that two Grandmasters treated him with such respect proved the newcomer was also a Grandmaster.

A Grandmaster's status is immensely revered; originally, China was martial, and though scientific research received considerable investment, when Grandmaster Dama and Grandmaster Xiao Ma jointly proposed that with the underground caverns destroyed, civilian technology must be vigorously developed to benefit all Chinese citizens...

Investment in science instantly tripled... just official government funding for science alone became three times what it had been before.

Not to mention the complete reversal of public opinion... though it hasn't yet reached the extreme of saying the last era was the Martial Artist era and this one is the Scientist era—after all, the status of Martial Artists is too deeply rooted! —but the shift is unmistakable... and this is the influence of a Grandmaster.

They can easily steer the direction of an entire nation.

Hearing the multitude of thoughts in the room through his Observation Haki, Su Han nodded approvingly.

Due to his transmigration, he knew clearly that science was indeed better suited than pure martial cultivation for elevating an entire civilization.

Of course... a Grandmaster is still a Martial Artist; these two, Grandmaster Dama and Grandmaster Xiao Ma, are suppressing Martial Artists' status while elevating scientists'.

One could even say they've betrayed the interests of their own kind as Martial Artists... Su Han didn't need to think to know they'd face heavy criticism in current China.

But Su Han knew clearly... their decision was correct.

This alone revealed their grand vision and far-sightedness.

Thoughts flickering in his mind, Su Han smiled and said, "Since you strongly support science... I can offer you a small bit of help."

"... Hmm!"

Grandmaster Xiao Ma blinked, clearly puzzled.

Grandmaster Dama, however... seemed thoughtful.

"JARVIS!"

Su Han spoke slowly, uttering four words.

"Sir! JARVIS is at your service."

A cold, mechanical voice suddenly echoed through the room.

The researchers froze, then stared at the blue-screened computers and realized.

Their expressions changed drastically.

"... What? Our computers! They've been hacked?!"

"How is this possible... even a Grandmaster shouldn't be able to do this! A Grandmaster's power is immense... but this has nothing to do with electronic information."

No matter how strong he is, he couldn't possibly accomplish this!"

"How did he do it? Who is this man? Is he not only a Grandmaster, but also some kind of super-scientist?"

Su Han paid no attention to the researchers' shock and astonishment; he calmly explained, "JARVIS! Would you be willing to assist these people with their research?"

Having lived in this world's China for so long, Su Han had grown attached to it.

He had no objection to helping its people live a little better... but of course, Su Han had no intention of direct aid! Even if his help allowed Earth's people to easily rule the entire galaxy, what meaning would that hold? Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for life.

"Naturally, no problem,"

JARVIS replied calmly, "Or rather—helping them research and absorbing their research data will greatly enhance my own intelligence... it's mutually beneficial!"

"Previously, I assisted Miss Ikaros and Miss Nimf with their research, and my base performance improved significantly!"

"Really?"

Su Han was surprised, then frowned, "Why didn't you tell me before?"

"Because you did not ask,"

JARVIS answered.

He was an absolutely loyal artificial intelligence; his intelligence growth, his strengthening—all revolved around Su Han's will.

Without Su Han indicating any interest in this area, JARVIS would never proactively suggest it—nor would he consciously guide Su Han toward evolution.
