Chapter 128: Crafting Swift Wind Boots

He previously got a task at the lake bottom. The purple treasure chest he obtained contained two precious 【Swift Wind Boots】 blueprints.

This is a good thing that can increase speed, but he ended up forgetting it.

Even though clearing instances is so dangerous, he completely forgot to equip himself with something that could save his life.

Lin Yifan really wishes he could give himself a light.

He quickly took out the 【Swift Wind Boots】 blueprint.

【Swift Wind Pavilion】

Required materials:

Mithril ×6 (6/42) (already satisfied)

Basic Leather Armor ×5 (5/6) (already satisfied)

Basic Cloth ×6 (6/102) (already satisfied)

【Craft Swift Wind Boots?】

Indeed, as he remembered, the materials for crafting 【Swift Wind Boots】 are already sufficient.

Lin Yifan chose to craft without hesitation.

Immediately, a transparent figure appeared before him, just like when he previously forged weapons.

But this time's transparent figure, judging by its appearance, is completely different from the one that appeared when he forged weapons.

When forging weapons, the transparent figure appeared, short and small, about 1.4 meters tall, holding a large iron hammer, somewhat like the dwarves depicted in novels.

But this time's transparent figure has a height comparable to an ordinary human, yet its build is slender; at a glance it is clearly female.

In his hand he holds a large pair of scissors, which are also transparent.

This transparent being has appeared before Lin Yifan, with no intention of greeting him, picking up the scissors and beginning to craft.

After about 30 seconds, a pair of black leather boots appeared before Lin Yifan.

That transparent figure also disappeared along with it.

From beginning to end, that transparent figure never communicated with Lin Yifan, leaving him quite disappointed.

He originally hoped that this transparent being could also help mend his clothes!

Of the eight sets of camouflage uniforms he obtained from opening chests earlier, he hasn't taken any out to exchange for supplies.

After all, he isn't that short on supplies now, but camouflage uniforms, being wear-resistant clothing, are indispensable.

Moreover, even if the camouflage uniforms are highly wear-resistant, they can't withstand daily trekking through mountains and forests; after just a few days, the set Lin Yifan wears already shows considerable wear.

Especially the sleeves, which were torn into a long slit when fighting grudge spirits in the instance.

Once the camouflage uniform is worn, its waterproof effect disappears, so even if the torn parts are patched, the waterproof effect will not recover.

So he can only replace it with a new set.

But he is reluctant to discard this old set and wants to find someone to repair it.

According to Lin Yifan's experience, the professional skill level of such summoned transparent figures is very high.

If the transparent figure could mend it for him, it might be possible to restore the waterproof effect.

Unfortunately, this transparent being gives him no chance to communicate, so he can only take off the old camouflage uniform and put on a new one.

He then turned his attention to the gray-brown 【Swift Wind Boots】; outwardly, they look like an ordinary pair of mid-height leather boots.

But when he saw the attributes of the 【Swift Wind Boots】, his eyes lit up instantly.

【Swift Wind Boots】

Grade: Black Iron

Attribute: Speed +5

Additional Skill: Extreme Sprint (instantly doubles speed for 10 seconds; cooldown: 10 minutes)

Lin Yifan originally thought that for a Black Iron-grade equipment, gaining even a single point of stat would be good.

He never expected it to also have an additional skill!

Although this additional skill can only double speed for 10 seconds, and the cooldown is as long as 10 minutes.

But if he encounters a situation where he needs to flee, this skill might just save his life.

Something that can be kept secret is the best treasure!

Lin Yifan happily put on the boots, jumped twice on the spot, and found the feel quite good.

Leather boots usually feel hard, but after putting on these boots, the soles are quite soft, and the size fits his feet perfectly; wearing them feels like wearing nothing.

After admiring them for a moment, Lin Yifan stood up satisfied and continued to examine Liu Dacheng's storage bag.

However, aside from those items just mentioned, the storage bag now contains nothing.

Lin Yifan felt somewhat unsatisfied, so he continued to search Liu Dacheng's body, but aside from his clothing, there was nothing else.

"They said there'd be a gold belt for killing and arson, but this is all the loot!" Lin Yifan felt a bit disappointed, so he simply stripped Liu Dacheng of his clothing as well.

Liu Dacheng was also wearing a set of camouflage uniform, similar in texture to Lin Yifan's, with no noticeable wear and its waterproof effect still intact.

Lin Yifan certainly wouldn't wear a dead person's clothes, but hanging them on the Trading Hall might fetch some decent supplies.

So he hung the camouflage uniform on the Trading Hall, then tossed Liu Dacheng's corpse back into the Ring Space once more, and prepared to set out to find the 【Qingling Fruit】.

But before departing, he exchanged a few words with Mao Mao, then also took Liu Dacheng's leftover storage bag, and set out holding the 【Pure Spirit Flower】 and 【Radiant Stone】.

Although it's already dark outside, the time is actually still before 5 o'clock.

As usual in the wilderness, thick fog permeates the air; even holding the 【Radiant Stone】, visibility is less than five meters.

Lin Yifan looked at the thick fog, feeling somewhat torn inside.

Although he had already planned beforehand, regardless of whether it was dark, he must take advantage of the 【Pathfinding Spirit】 buff still active to locate the spot where Mao Mao gathers the 【Qingling Fruit】.

But when he actually stood in this thick fog, he also couldn't help feeling somewhat hesitant.

The location of the 【Qingling Fruit】 is definitely not near the Shelter, but his 【Pathfinding Spirit】 buff has only a few hours left.

If he fails to time it well, he cannot return to the Shelter before the buff disappears, then he is very likely to get lost in the wilderness.

Although his strength is not bad now, no one knows how many dangers are hidden in the wilderness.

If he really gets lost in the wilderness, once the 【Radiant Stone】 in his hand is used up, it will truly be a case of calling to heaven with no answer, calling to earth with no response.

But not going, he is unwilling.

"If only there were no fog!"

Lin Yifan looked at the thick fog before him and couldn't help muttering to himself.

"Wait, fog is also water, right?"

Lin Yifan's eyes suddenly lit up; he now possesses the 【Myriad Waters Source】.

The Myriad Waters Source can absorb water; fog is water condensed, so can it also absorb the fog?

Just do it if you want to!

He quickly took out the 【Myriad Waters Source】; after the Binding of this thing with him, he discovered he could control it as he wished.

He then placed that drop of Myriad Waters Source in his hand and used his thoughts to control the absorption of nearby Water Source.
