Chapter 36: Ranking List Opens

That was a pile of square little boxes, the boxes were also pink and tender, and at a glance they had nothing to do with straight men.

And the words on the boxes made Lin Yifan feel a bit dazed.

【High‑purity silk sanitary tampons】（18 sticks/bag）×10

Sanitary tampons?

What are sanitary tampons?

Lin Yifan felt a bit dazed, he picked up a box, glanced at the text description on it, and immediately felt his face flush.

Women's products!

It's actually women's products!

But have women's products evolved from sanitary pads to tampons?

Lin Yifan didn't understand, but he was genuinely disappointed.

This is a 10‑fold Harvest Critical!

If it were salt or mushroom essence instead, it could let him use it for another three to five years, but instead he got a pile of useless tampons.

However, although he had no use for it, for women it is indeed a necessity,

Lin Yifan originally wanted to put the tampons up for sale at the Auction House, but after thinking it over he decided to first ask his good friend Ruan Qingtan.

"Do you have any use for this thing?"

Ruan Qingtan was lying on the wooden bed at the moment, scrolling through the chat channel, occasionally posting a message, but most of the time just lurking.

She now has Lin Yifan's support; her life isn't exactly comfortable, but at least she has food and drink, and she can even upgrade her Shelter to level two.

Meanwhile, many people in the chat channel couldn't even afford a full meal, let alone upgrade their Shelter to level two.

Compared like that, she immediately felt content.

Her gratitude toward Lin Yifan became more sincere as well.

Just seeing Lin Yifan's message, she almost without hesitation opened it right away.

Upon seeing it, her eyes went wide, and she excitedly replied:

"I need it, I need it—this is literally my lifesaver! My period is coming in two or three days, and I was originally worried about what to do!"

"I never expected you to actually pull out tampons; they're even more practical than pads! No need to worry about bloody smells attracting beasts, and exercise won't be restricted—they're practically tailor‑made treasure for me."

Saying this, Ruan Qingtan suddenly realized she couldn't just take it for free, or she'd seem unreasonable.

But after looking around her room, she found hardly anything comparable to the tampons, so she sheepishly messaged:

"Well… I don't really have anything presentable to trade with you right now; how about I put it on tab?"

"Later, whenever you see something of mine you like, you can use it to repay this debt; of course I know my request is a bit much."

"Or how about this: you don't sell the tampons yet, keep them for trading with me; whenever I have something you like, you can exchange an equivalent amount of tampons for it—does that work for you?"

Having Lin Yifan give it away for free is certainly impossible.

Although Lin Yifan, as a big guy, has no use for it, for women it is a necessity.

Moreover, these days such items are probably scarce on the market; if put up at the Auction House they would definitely be a rare, scarce commodity, and there would surely be demand.

Just letting Ruan Qingtan know he had it in hand was already giving her face.

Asking him to give it away for free, he isn't that generous.

However, giving his friend a bit of priority in trading is fine.

Anyway, he isn't short on supplies now, so it doesn't matter.

So he directly agreed:

"Fine, I'll hold onto it for you; just come find me when you need it."

Ruan Qingtan was overwhelmed with gratitude, and she immediately replied:

"Fan Ge, do you have anything special you want? Let me be frank—my talent is related to opening Treasure Chests; if I make a wish before opening a chest for something I want, it increases the chance of getting that item by 30%."

"Furthermore, every seven days I get one chance to open a chest with a 100% successful wish; I've already used this week's, so if you have something special you want, I can open a chest for you next week."

"However, this talent also has limits: even if the wish succeeds 100%, it still depends on the chest's level; if I wish for something very precious and high‑level but use a white‑colored Treasure Chest to wish, the result will be a castrated version."

"My last wish was for an item that could directly upgrade my Shelter to level two, but all I got was a blueprint."

"So, if Fan Ge really needs a high‑level item, it's best to use a high‑level Treasure Chest; even if the result is a castrated version, its completeness will be much higher."

Lin Yifan read Ruan Qingtan's message and wasn't surprised at all.

He had already guessed earlier that her talent was related to opening Treasure Chests.

But he hadn't expected that she actually gets a 100% success rate once a week—this is practically cheating!

Since she herself is offering the opportunity, Lin Yifan naturally won't refuse and happily said:

"Fine, then I'll tell you what I need when the time comes."

After saying that, Lin Yifan proactively sent over a box of tampons first.

The sincerity that should be given was given in full.

After confirming the ownership of this batch of tampons, Lin Yifan heated some water for himself, washed up as best he could, then crawled into bed.

Today's harvest still left him quite satisfied, except that upgrading his Shelter to level three didn't earn him the district‑wide first‑place reward, which left him a bit disappointed.

Could someone have upgraded their Shelter to level three before him?

But that shouldn't be possible!

However, there are always people beyond people, and skies beyond skies.

His talent is special—who knows, maybe someone has an even more special talent!

So although Lin Yifan is a bit disappointed, he can only let it rest for now.

After a day of hard work, he was finally able to lie down in his soft blanket and sleep; Lin Yifan slept very soundly.

When he woke up, it was already 6:30 a. m. on the second day.

After washing up, he began steaming buns to prepare breakfast.

At the same time, he also listed over 300 portions of 【Strong Mosquito Repellent】 on the Auction House.

Part of it is used to purchase Primary Pig Iron, while another part is used to purchase Ceramic, Intermediate Cast Iron and other rare materials.

However, just then, Lin Yifan suddenly discovered that in the middle of his house, a light sphere about the size of a fist had appeared out of nowhere.

The light sphere's glow was soft, emitting a comfortable temperature.

"What is this?"

Lin Yifan walked over puzzled, but as soon as he touched the light sphere, it behaved like a living thing and suddenly shot into his mind.

This sudden accident startled him greatly.

"What the hell is this?"

Just as he was feeling anxious, a light screen suddenly appeared before his eyes.

And the light screen, like an e-book, quickly opened and flipped.

From the chat channel to the Auction House, then to the date, flipping through quickly, it finally stopped on a blank page.

And the white light that had previously grabbed Lin Yifan's head now appeared on this blank page.

After the white light flickered slightly, a string of text appeared above it.

(Note: The ranking is open only to survivors who have upgraded the Shelter to level three; currently 65 people are on the list.)

There's even a ranking?

Lin Yifan looked astonished at the ranking before his eyes, and in the next second he saw that those whose names were originally visible on the ranking had mostly turned into strings of stars.

Obviously, personal information was hidden.

Seeing this, Lin Yifan also hurriedly hid his own personal information.

Upon looking again, the top ten had almost all hidden their names.

After the top ten, however, some people did not hide.

However, although the top ten hid their names, Lin Yifan still remembered that there were only two Huaguo names on the ranking.

One is him in 4th place, and the other is Chen Jinlong in 2nd place.

The ranking is actually ahead of him, belonging to an absolute powerhouse.
