Chapter 61: Terrifying Disaster (Drank Too Much Over the New Year, Sorry, Sorry)

Lin Yifan was unaware of the situation in the chat channel.

Because a mission notice popped up in front of him.

【National Survival Mainline Mission Series 1: Counter the Mosquito Swarm (Only the top‑ranked survivor in the region is qualified to accept this mission on behalf of all survivors in the district)】

【Mission: Lead the personnel of this district to survive this disaster as much as possible.】

【Collective Task Reward 1: The top 100 districts in regional survivor survival rate ranking will receive a collective blessing of 【Harvest Double】, with blessing duration decreasing according to rank.】

【Collective Task Reward 2: In the top 100 districts, each person can obtain Treasure Chest rewards, with the chest level and quantity tied to the district's rank.】

【Personal Contribution Reward: Successfully surviving the current disaster grants 1000 Contribution Points; during this disaster, contributing supplies to help others also yields Contribution Points (one Basic Supply = one Contribution Point). Contribution Points can be exchanged in the 【Survival Shop】.】

【Survival Shop Unlock Task: After the Mosquito Swarm disaster ends, the number of survivors in the current district must enter the top 100.】

【Personal Contribution Reward 2: When the survivor's district enters the top 100, the survivor ranked #1 in Contribution Value in that district can receive 【Silver Grade Four Shelter Blueprint】×1, Mythril×10, Random Attribute×10 (Unique reward, issued only to the district's overall #1 survivor).】

Lin Yifan looked at the mission before him, and his eyebrows twitched instantly.

He really hadn't expected there to be a mainline mission; judging from this first notice, there are many disaster missions in this world.

In other words, they will have to endure countless disasters from now on.

Nevertheless, the disasters are terrifying, but as long as the disaster missions are completed, the rewards are truly generous!

Of course, this applies to ordinary survivors; for Lin Yifan, these rewards hold little appeal.

His talent refreshes a buff daily; the day before yesterday he rolled a Harvest Critical, which is far more spectacular than Harvest Double.

As for Treasure Chest rewards, does he lack Treasure Chests?

He has already opened blue Treasure Chests, so he certainly doesn't lack them.

But the Contribution Point reward, he must start taking seriously.

The 【Survival Shop】 hasn't opened yet, but the page can already be accessed to view the items.

It offers not only rare materials but also various Blueprints, including the Synthesis Room Blueprint he most desires, which is also for sale.

However, both Blueprints and materials are priced extremely steeply.

For example, the 【Synthesis Room Blueprint】 requires 5000 Contribution Points to purchase.

One unit of Basic Supplies can only be exchanged for one Contribution Point, so 5000 Contribution Points equals 5000 units of Basic Supplies.

Lin Yifan currently isn't short of Basic Supplies, but he has accumulated less than 4000 units.

In other words, to obtain this Blueprint, besides surviving until tomorrow morning to gain 1000 Contribution Points, he also needs to convert all the Basic Supplies he has on hand

, donating them all for Contribution Points, just barely enough to make up the cost.

Such a ruthless price even makes Lin Yifan's flesh ache.

Nevertheless, it's a shortcut; if Treasure Chests never yield what he wants, buying from this ruthless shop is still a viable path.

Only that, to unlock the 【Survival Shop】 one still needs to complete a task, which truly gives Lin Yifan a headache.

Come to think of it, Lin Yifan had long sensed that the number of survivors in a district could be a key factor.

The first time he upgraded his Shelter to level two, the Disaster Hint he received subtly hinted at this.

Precisely for this reason, he unhesitatingly broadcast the Mosquito Swarm disaster news, aiming to let more people survive.

And lately, he has been preparing as much 【Strong Mosquito Repellent】 as possible for that purpose.

He didn't expect that midway, Cheng Yaojin of the Heaven and Earth Society emerged, causing many of his plans to fail.

He was indeed infuriated by those scornful wolves, but even so, he handed all the already‑made 【Strong Mosquito Repellent】 to Chen Yunuo to handle.

Now it once again proves his earlier conjecture was correct.

However, even though he made some preparations, Earth Star's incoming Humans total over 7 billion; assuming 100,000 people per district, that makes over 8,000 districts.

With so many people, the strong are certainly not few, and the clever are even more numerous.

Can he really lead them into the top hundred?

Lin Yifan was indeed somewhat uncertain, let alone the fact that his district now has the unstable factor of the Heaven and Earth Society; if anyone opposes, it becomes even harder.

But unlocking the 【Survival Shop】 is too important; if it cannot be opened, their district will fall further behind.

Moreover, he has a unique task that can grant 【Silver Grade Four Shelter Blueprint】, mythril, and 10 Random Attribute Point rewards.

What use does mythril have? It's unknown now, but paired with the other two rewards, it's certainly not ordinary.

And the Level 4 Shelter Blueprint and Random Attribute Points are currently Lin Yifan's most needed items.

He has already upgraded his Level 3 Shelter to Bronze Grade, so he's not content with merely a plain Level 4 Shelter.

Yet so far, not only the Silver Grade Four Shelter Blueprint, but even a regular Level 4 Shelter Blueprint has not appeared.

Therefore, this Silver Grade City-level Shelter Blueprint is probably the easiest for him to obtain.

And those 10 Random Attribute Points are something Lin Yifan cannot part with at all.

It should be noted that after the Mosquito Swarm disaster ends, the Heavy Rain Disaster will arrive soon.

Moreover, the Mosquito Swarm disaster's Disaster Level is only three stars, whereas the Heavy Rain Disaster reaches four stars.

Thus the next disaster will definitely be more dangerous than this one.

If he cannot quickly strengthen his power, Lin Yifan will always feel uneasy.

Therefore, he refuses to miss this chance, and must try it no matter what.

However, now he only has two units of 【Strong Mosquito Repellent】 left, which he kept for himself as a contingency.

The rest are with Chen Yunuo, amounting to just over 300 units, which is a drop in the bucket compared to the tens of thousands of people.

Materials are still available; if all were turned into 【Strong Mosquito Repellent】, there could be one or two thousand units.

But for a group of tens of thousands, that's still just a drop in the bucket.

Even so, he can only first produce this portion of 【Strong Mosquito Repellent】.

Lin Yifan rubbed his temples and resignedly began working.
