Chapter 257: Advancing to Immortality

"Thank you, Master!" Xiao Yu bowed respectfully.

"Go!" the Chaos City Lord said.

As the words fell, Xiao Yu was instantly displaced away and returned to the palace.

Afterwards, Xiao Yu resumed sitting cross‑legged.

"Meng Lao, I have already finished cultivating the Primordial Soul Third Rank," Xiao Yu thought silently.

"Hmm, not bad, but the Primordial Soul Fourth Rank secret technique requires your power to reach Immortal Level before you can begin," a hoarse old voice said.

"When you advance to become the Immortal Divine Spirit in your world, come find me to receive the inheritance!" Meng Lao continued.

"Hmm, alright, Meng Lao," Xiao Yu transmitted.

After obtaining the Beast God inheritance token, Xiao Yu did not rush to the Inheritance Land, but continued to cultivate wholeheartedly.

Time passed, and in the blink of an eye fifty years had gone by.

Xiao Yu comprehended all three profound mysteries of space‑time; the three systems of the Spatial Law—Seal, Kill, Instant—were fully understood, as were the three systems of the Time Law—Stop, Recede, Transform.

Nowadays, law comprehension cannot be completed in a short time; now the focus is on creating one's own secret techniques and elevating them to the ultimate.

The destiny core within Xiao Yu, which contained an Origin Pearl formed when Xiao Yu advanced to Realm Lord Level, absorbed the breath transmitted from the Law of the Origin of Thunder ocean, and instantly transformed, taking Xiao Yu's form.

After the Origin Pearl became Xiao Yu, a swing of his hand instantly materialized an energy battle sword, its blade etched with complex law secret patterns. As for the weapons or mind‑force weapons formed from the Origin Pearl, they are merely energy incarnations.

Another fifty years passed, and during those fifty years Xiao Yu comprehended all Eight Lower Origin Laws.

"Law formed, Origin shaped, destiny core shattered, divine power infused, soul and divine body united into Immortal!" Xiao Yu thought.

In the Palace of Qianbao River, during a hundred years, the Law of the Origin of Thunder was the first to be fully understood, and when Xiao Yu mastered it...

A dark blade‑light long river surged toward the destiny core, but the core was incredibly hard, showing no sign of breaking.

This is the basic process of crossing into Immortality.

"Boom!"

"I have also encountered the same shackles as Luo Feng, a sip and a bite, fortune and disaster intertwined," Xiao Yu thought.

After mastering the Eight Lower Origin Laws, the sixteen major Soul Splits entered the Virtual Universe Space‑time Plane, beginning to study the Fusion Principle between the Eight Lower Laws and the Higher Law.

Immediately Xiao Yu continued to comprehend the laws.

The primary soul of the human body also participated in the self‑created secret techniques, greatly accelerating the research speed.

Xiao Yu's innate talent for grasping the Law of the Origin of Thunder is extremely high; combined with his law comprehension already comparable to a Universe Venerable, and his focused study of the Eight Lower Origin Laws, his advancement progressed extremely quickly.

"To break the destiny core shackles, one relies on law insight, soul amplitude, and secret techniques," Xiao Yu thought.

Another hundred years passed.

Boom!

An intangible link instantly connected Xiao Yu with the Thunder Law ocean of the Universe Origin, and from the Gold Law ocean, that endless breath was transmitted directly.

A sense of completeness filled his heart; this is the satisfaction after comprehending a 'Dao' within the universe.

"Open Heaven"

The lacking part is fusion.

In the training arena, Xiao Yu used the "Open Heaven" secret technique to defeat opponent after opponent.

In the blink of an eye five hundred years passed.

"The 2000th opponent."

"Today is the day of your fall," Xiao Yu said, wielding the Chaos Blade; the dark blade‑light long river on the Chaos Blade stretched a thousand kilometers.

The ten primary Origin breaths were dense; at the core of the blade‑light long river was a sliver of darkness emitting a destructive aura, the power of destruction.

That avian special life had already become a black streak of light; wherever it passed, distant stars and planets touched by the black light were instantly annihilated. The blade‑light long river and the avian special life were about to collide.

"Kill." A fierce gleam flashed in Xiao Yu's eyes.

He had already failed 999 times before this 2000th opponent.

The blade‑light long river's speed instantly multiplied several times, instantly surpassing the light‑speed limit, turning into a dark light, like an annihilating black hole.

In an instant the black streak of light vanished.

A massive fissure appeared in the starry sky, and the huge energy shockwave then raged outward.

"Boom—boom—boom!" The sound echoed outward.

"This first move Open Heaven has finally become ultimate," Xiao Yu thought.

Since self‑creating the "Open Heaven" move over a thousand years ago, after ages it has finally become ultimate.

Since the sword technique has become ultimate, Xiao Yu decided to become Immortal first.

Even if he advances to Immortal, Xiao Yu has already been recognized by the Fundamental Law and can still enter the Fundamental Law realm to comprehend the Fundamental Law.

"Break the shackles, achieve Immortality!" Xiao Yu's eyes suddenly erupted with a sky‑piercing will, a fierce, unstoppable resolve that shifted from a calm star‑filled sea to the sharpness of a gigantic battle sword in an instant—a complete transformation.

Xiao Yu waved his hand, and a dark long river surged toward the destiny core.

"Open Heaven."

Now the destiny core is like the egg shell from Pangu's opening of heaven; Xiao Yu must, with unstoppable momentum, shatter the core in one strike, allowing fish to leap and birds to fly.

Boom!

The inner wall of the destiny core jolted violently, followed by a booming sound, instantly turning it into powder.

The first move "Open Heaven" of "Creation" employs unstoppable momentum, speed beyond limits, incomparable might, and profound mystery.

In just an instant it shattered the destiny core shackles.

With that layer of shackles removed, the Origin Pearl‑shaped "Humanoid Luo Feng" and the endless Eight Lower Law Oceans of the Universe Origin instantly connected fully; the eight primary Origin Laws—Thunder, Gold, Light, Wind, Fire, Earth, Wood, Water—descended directly, appearing above the palace where Xiao Yu stood.

"Boom—boom—boom!"

Endless Seven-colored Divine Power surged wildly.

Some Realm Lords have just crossed into Immortality, ordinary Immortal, requiring only a small amount of divine power to transform into a Divine Body.

And some extremely strong Realm Lords, upon stepping in, become Immortal Lord Kings; the required divine power is not much less, but usually they just form a divine body with the power of a hundred-thousand-times Realm Lord.

And Xiao Yu, the divine body of the Earth-person Human True Body, stands over ninety thousand kilometers tall, his life gene level exceeding 10,081 times; once his Earth-person Human True Body divine body is accomplished, it exceeds ten billion times Realm Lord power! This already surpasses most Universe Venerables—a Universe Venerable with a life gene level of ten times only has a hundred-million-times Realm Lord power.

Moreover, Xiao Yu, besides the Human True Body, also has a World Tree Clone; when the World Tree Clone advances to the Immortal Level, it instantly grows to a height of 300 billion kilometers, and its crown diameter exceeds three light-years.

Since the World Tree is not a product of this world, there is no such thing as a life gene level for it, but its enormous form shapes into an Immortal Divine Body, requiring an even more immense amount of Seven-Colored Divine Power.

It is more than one trillion times that of the Human True Body.

The amount of divine power required for the divine body of a human Universe Venerable is not even one trillionth of that of this World Tree.

Upon entering the Immortal realm, the disturbance of divine power infusing the body is usually slight; even an ordinary Universe Venerable's disturbance is only that much.

But Xiao Yu's disturbance upon entering the Immortal realm is truly enormous—greater than that of entering the Universe Venerable realm by tens of millions of times, and in terms of amount, it exceeds that of a human Universe Venerable by more than one trillion times.

……

"What's wrong?"

"How could it happen that the eight fundamental laws descend simultaneously?"

The entire Qianbao River Realm, with some Universe Venerables and many Immortal Attendants, stared in astonishment at the distant palace of Xiao Yu above, seeing endless seven-colored light enveloping the entire Qianbao River.
