Chapter 262: Guardian Beast God

The whole Zijing Island, except for the Island Lord who is the Guardian Beast God, is entirely made up of inheritors, including the Fei Cang Clan Elder before us.

Xiao Yu followed the Fei Cang Clan Elder to a mountainous area beside a river.

The Fei Cang Clan Elder instructed, "Build a palace here. Remember, each palace may occupy at most one kilometer in length and width; even the massive Divine Bodies of the Demon Race or Starlit Beast, etc., must shrink their Divine Bodies to reside within, and no one may receive an exception."

Xiao Yu nodded.

Along the way, every palace he saw measured no more than one kilometer in length and width; none exceeded that.

"Come with me again." The Fei Cang Clan Elder continued to lead Xiao Yu; his duty was to guide, naturally conveying some basic information to Xiao Yu.

Moments later, they arrived at the highest mountain range on Zijing Island; atop the range stood a solitary towering palace, the only palace on the island that spanned over a thousand kilometers.

This is the Island Lord's palace on Zijing Island, where a Guardian Beast God who cultivates fire and the space Fusion Principle resides.

Standing on the mountain range.

"Look up." The Fei Cang Clan Elder pointed toward the sky.

"That is the core of the Ancestor God Sect, the Ancestor God Palace. My Ancestor God Palace has three Ancestor Gods, but usually only one sits in charge." The Fei Cang Clan Elder said, "Around it, eight slightly smaller palaces house the Eight-direction Beast God Hall, representing the Eight Great Beast Gods."

Xiao Yu arrived at the palace's main gate, then stepped inside, walked for a long while, and only after exiting the front hall did he find a spacious courtyard behind it, and beyond the courtyard lay the most expansive, towering main hall.

"Thank you, Elder." Xiao Yu expressed gratitude to the Fei Cang Clan Elder for the guidance.

Each Divine General Continent is no smaller in size than Zijing Island.

These peripheral members are mostly Candidate Divine Envoys, Candidate Divine Generals, and powerful Beast God inheritors. All of those candidates have received the full inheritance.

The Fei Cang Clan Elder smiled faintly, then whooshed through the void, turning into a streak of light and soaring straight into the high heavens.

Xiao Yu and the Fei Cang Clan Elder walked to a massive platform plaza in front of the Island Lord's palace, before three fountains.

Apart from the core of the Ancestor God Sect, the Five-colored Aurora Lake contains numerous islands, on which the peripheral members of the Ancestor God Sect reside.

And those Guardian Beast Gods have received the complete Beast God inheritance, their power already reaching the level of the Lord of the Universe.

Xiao Yu looked up and beheld an incredible sight.

From this angle, a fissure in the Five-colored Aurora Lake could be seen; along it, the deep core of the lake revealed an immensely radiant palace, and around that endlessly luminous palace floated eight slightly smaller palaces.

"On the outermost edge of the Divine General Continent lie 3,000 Divine Envoy star worlds. These are where the core of the Ancestor God Sect resides," the Fei Cang Clan Elder added.

"You may go in; my task ends here," the Fei Cang Clan Elder said, "I hope you can live longer on Zijing Island. Don't fall at any time; unless you obtain another Inheritance Order, you won't be able to return."

"Around the Eight-direction Beast God Hall there are more than ten palaces, which constitute the Guardian Beast God Hall. Beyond that lie 72 continents, which are the Divine General Continent."

Those who have not received the full inheritance need not serve the Ancestor God Sect, thus becoming peripheral members.

"Inheritor." A human man sat cross‑legged in the courtyard.

The human wore a plain black robe, had long blue hair, a blue Secret Pattern on his face, and a faint aura; from this Xiao Yu deduced that the man was at least a Universe Venerable.

The cross‑legged black‑robed human stood, smiled at Xiao Yu, and said, "I never expected to see a human; it truly delights me. I am a servant under the Island Lord, tasked with guarding the palace here and relaying messages to the Island Lord."

Xiao Yu felt a surge of resentment, though he also understood that a strong Human can enslave an Alien, and a strong Alien can likewise enslave a Human.

"Please wait. I have already sent the message to the Guardian Beast God; the Guardian Beast God is currently occupied, so you must wait," the black‑robed man said with a smile.

Xiao Yu asked, "How long must I wait?"

The black‑robed man smiled, "It could be immediate, or as long as ten years. According to Ancestor God Sect rules, an Ancestor God appears at most after ten years; if the Guardian Beast God feels ten years is insufficient, another Guardian Beast God will be assigned."

Xiao Yu could only sit cross‑legged, looking up at the sky where the manifest Fundamental Law, the Insight Law, especially the various Fusion Principles contained within, were displayed; other Soul Splits within the Divine Kingdom received these messages, combining various secret arts to accelerate their comprehension.

Three years later.

Xiao Yu was sitting cross‑legged in the courtyard of the Island Lord's palace when an overwhelmingly domineering, heart‑shaking aura instantly enveloped the entire palace.

Xiao Yu sprang up at once, withdrawing from his cultivation state.

"The Guardian Beast God has arrived," the black‑robed human said.

"Come in," a slightly lofty yet piercing voice resonated from the main hall.

Entering the main hall, Xiao Yu saw on the lofty throne a strange creature resembling a jiaolong, its body bearing wings and covered with an odd armor studded with flames.

This is the Guardian Beast God who has perfected fire cultivation and the space Fusion Principle, becoming the Lord of the Universe.

"From this moment, you are the inheritor of Zijing Island," the dragon‑headed Guardian Beast God said, "First, I grant you permission to enter the Glory World."

As soon as the words finished, an object resembling a light‑brain materialized out of thin air and flew straight toward Xiao Yu.

Xiao Yu reached out and took it; it was a device akin to a human Consciousness Sensing Helmet, used to enter the Glory World.

"I also grant you permission to enter the Inheritance Land, Treasure Land, and Secret Realm Land," the Guardian Beast God said, "Can you see the three Water Curtains outside the palace?"

"Hmm." Xiao Yu nodded.

The Water Curtain is those three fountains.

"That is the Teleportation Channel; of course you must possess my authorized permission to enter," the Guardian Beast God continued, "The one on the left leads to the Inheritance Land, the middle to the Treasure Land, and the right to the Secret Realm Land."

The Inheritance Land is where one receives Beast God inheritance and tests the comprehension of laws; for example, the Thunder Beast God inheritance is divided into seven levels. Each level offers one free chance to receive inheritance, and only by fully mastering the first level can one obtain a free chance for the second.

Inheritance opportunities, besides the one free chance per level, can also be exchanged using Glory Points; every 100 Glory Points can be exchanged for one inheritance chance.

The Treasure Land is the hidden repository of treasures left by successive Beast Gods, Guardian Beast Gods, and Beast God cultivators of the Ancestor God Sect; it holds vast riches, and only those meeting the standards of senior masters may retrieve them.

The Secret Realm Land is the Ancestor Divine Secret Realm, the most mysterious secret realm in the universe; it is home to the greatest variety of special lifeforms and numerous mysterious artifacts, whether natural materials or universe‑born heavy treasures and ultimate treasures, all concealed there.

Even a Universe Venerable may fall upon entering, and the Lord of the Universe could become trapped.
