Chapter 976: Hinata
Kitazawa came back to his senses and set down the documents regarding the Demon Lantern Castle.
He had already decided how to handle this matter, so it could be put to rest for the time being.
Kitazawa continued to flip through the other documents.
However, there was no intelligence worth noting; the entire ninja world remained relatively peaceful.
After all, according to the original timeline, for anything major to happen in the ninja world, one would have to wait for the Akatsuki to initiate the Eye of the Moon Plan.
In the interim, there was still the joint Chunin Exams between the Hidden Sand Village and the Hidden Leaf Village, as well as the Konoha Crush plan.
But both of these events were actually instigated by Orochimaru, who was disguised as the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa.
Now that he had returned to the Hidden Leaf Village, the only thing that might possibly happen was the joint Chunin Exams.
Though, it was hard to say.
After reading through all the documents, Kitazawa arrived at the Hokage’s office.
He raised his hand, preparing to knock, but suddenly remembered that Tsunade was likely taking a nap, so he simply turned the doorknob.
Kitazawa walked in. He subconsciously glanced at the Hokage’s desk, but no one was there. His gaze shifted and landed on the sofa.
Tsunade was lying on her side on the sofa, sleeping soundly.
She had taken off her tea-green haori, revealing the sleeveless top she wore underneath.
Because of her side-lying position, the sleeveless top was pulled taut by gravity, appearing as if it might give way at any moment.
"Why didn't Itachi knock?"
Tsunade opened her eyes and met Kitazawa’s gaze.
With her strength, even though she was sleeping, she had already sensed him the moment he entered.
"If it were Itachi, Itachi wouldn't be knocking; Itachi'd be kicking the door down."
Kitazawa blinked and said.
"If Itachi dared to kick the door, I would dare to kick Itachi."
Tsunade glanced at him and said.
"That’s a double standard."
Kitazawa sat on the sofa opposite her and asked, "As the Hokage, shouldn't Itachi be fair and impartial?"
"Fair and impartial is for me to decide."
Tsunade sat up, snorted coldly, and said, "I am the Hokage!"
"Sure enough, once Itachi become Hokage, Itachi automatically learn to say that."
Kitazawa had originally wanted to say that once one becomes Hokage, they become shameless, but to save his own life, he decided to change his words.
"Isn't this what Itachi taught me?"
Tsunade suddenly laughed, looking at him with a radiant expression.
Kitazawa was slightly taken aback; it really was.
Previously, to deal with those two Hokage advisors, he had said this to Tsunade.
The only difference was that kicking the door was no longer allowed; it had received an epic buff.
"I didn't teach Itachi this so Itachi could use it against me."
Kitazawa grumbled.
"Who told Itachi to disturb my nap?"
Tsunade yawned and asked.
"Then go back to sleep."
Kitazawa paused and said, "To make amends, I can offer a lap pillow service."
Tsunade’s gaze sharpened, and she stared at him instantly.
"Itachi’re the first one to get to enjoy it."
Kitazawa said with a straight face.
"Is that why Itachi came to find me?"
Tsunade reached out and tidied her hair, which was slightly messy from her nap.
"There are some things."
Kitazawa said with a smile, "But no matter how big the matter is, one must get enough rest before doing it; a nap is the most important thing."
"Then come over here."
Tsunade patted the sofa and said.
Kitazawa froze for a moment, then walked over and sat down beside her.
Tsunade rested her head on his lap, lying on her side as she looked outside.
Kitazawa’s gaze moved downward, seeing that taut sleeveless top once again.
"What is it?"
Tsunade closed her eyes and asked casually.
"The Anbu discovered that the Land of the Sea is researching so-called ultimate summoning beasts."
Kitazawa explained, "I’m afraid something might go wrong, so I plan to go there with my students tomorrow and complete a mission while I'm at it."
Tsunade didn't say anything upon hearing this.
Logically speaking, this was a matter for the Land of the Sea, and the Hidden Leaf Village shouldn't interfere, but the ninja world had seen several major crises caused by small nations.
The most typical examples were the Box of Ultimate Bliss from the Hidden Grass Village and Moryo from the Land of Demons.
The Box of Ultimate Bliss had been opened once a long time ago, and it was said that the Hidden Grass Village almost ruled the ninja world because of it.
It was precisely because of this rumor that the Hidden Grass Village was divided into the Grass Fruit and Grass Flower factions.
The Grass Fruit faction was the pro-war faction, wanting to open the Box of Ultimate Bliss again to revive the Hidden Grass Village.
Kitazawa could only say that rumors are harmful.
The true nature of that rumor should have been that opening the Box of Ultimate Bliss released Satori, causing massive losses.
After all, Satori’s abilities were quite terrifying.
The Moryo from the Land of Demons is a monster from another realm, and it possesses an immortal army.
It had once waged war on the Land of Demons, and all five great villages provided support; in the end, the Shrine Maiden of the Land of Demons, Miroku, sacrificed herself to seal it.
In the movie *Naruto Shippuden the Movie*, it was released once again.
The Hidden Leaf Village sent Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Neji Hyuga, and Rock Lee to help.
After a series of events, with the help of the Land of Demons’ Shrine Maiden, Shion, they sealed it again.
Kitazawa was contemplating whether to tell Tsunade about the Box of Ultimate Bliss when he heard rhythmic breathing.
He looked down and couldn't help but shake his head.
Tsunade had already drifted off to dreamland.
Even though she had the Strength of a Hundred Seal to regulate her physical state, she still spent all day slacking off and sleeping.
One could only say that she was truly reluctant to be Hokage.
If Danzo Shimura knew this, he would have to crawl out of the Pure Land to berate her for not knowing how to cherish it.
Kitazawa closed his eyes and leaned back against the sofa.
He didn't sleep, but with a thought, he opened the system.
The mission panel listed the tasks he had yet to complete.
Kitazawa scanned them; there were quite a few.
His gaze landed on the system mission for Kimimaro.
He likely wouldn't get first place in this month's exam, so he would have to find a high-difficulty mission for him to show off next time.
Kitazawa then looked at Ino Yamanaka’s system mission: defeat Sakura Haruno once.
He fell into deep thought.
The current Ino Yamanaka was actually a bit like the previous version of Kurenai, skilled in genjutsu.
But because Sakura Haruno had strong chakra control, she could dispel genjutsu very quickly, and combined with her Water Style, she had a slight edge.
Genjutsu is Yin Style, but Yin Style is not just genjutsu.
Kitazawa suddenly had an idea.
He planned to modify the Mind Transfer Jutsu.
The effect of the Mind Transfer Jutsu was that after strengthening spiritual energy, it would fly out from the fingertips, allowing the user’s soul to enter the target’s body to control them.
So, what if one gave up control and switched to attacking instead?
One would only need to remove the latter half of the Mind Transfer Jutsu’s effect and retain the spiritual energy flying out from the fingertips to create an impact.
Kitazawa felt it was worth a try.
He had originally planned to teach Ino Yamanaka other ninjutsu, but as the saying goes, not everyone has the talent of Naruto Uzumaki and the others.
Ino Yamanaka’s greatest strength was Yin Style; learning Yin Style ninjutsu was the fastest, and other ninjutsu didn't suit her.
Kitazawa had already mastered the Mind Transfer Jutsu through the system, so modifying it wouldn't be too difficult.
After all, he didn't plan to create an S-rank Yin Style ninjutsu; his goal was a C-rank or B-rank Yin Style ninjutsu.
Sasuke Uchiha’s system mission and the mission to defeat Satori could be done together; he just had to wait for the Box of Ultimate Bliss.
The remaining system missions were mainly about modifying ninjutsu.
One was to modify the forbidden medical jutsu, Creation Rebirth; one was to modify the Earth Curse Mark; and one was to have Haku learn three Ice Style ninjutsu.
Besides these, there were missions to heal Nagato, form a new Konoha Sannin, cultivate confidants, and make Naruto Uzumaki a perfect jinchuriki.
Half an hour later, Tsunade sat up and stretched.
"Not going to sleep a bit more?"
Kitazawa looked at her and asked.
"That's enough; sleeping too much isn't good, and it's not nighttime."
Tsunade shook her head and said.
"Then I’ll be going; see Itachi next time."
Kitazawa stood up and said.
As for the matter of the Box of Ultimate Bliss, he planned to wait until Itachi Uchiha’s investigation results came out.
"Mm."
Tsunade watched him leave.
After the door closed, the corners of her mouth curled up slightly as she walked toward the Hokage’s desk.
Kitazawa had just exited the Hokage building when he stopped in his tracks.
Because he unexpectedly saw two familiar figures.
Hinata Hyuga and Ino Yamanaka were sitting side-by-side on a tree, looking toward the direction of the Hokage building.
