Chapter 1149

That night.

In the largest release hall of the Dragon Nation's Great Hall of the People, the lights were shining.

Tonight is the day of the Dragon Nation's highest science and technology award.

In the hearts of ordinary Dragon Nation people, the weight of today is almost the same as the New Year!

In the Dragon Nation, the status of scientists is I don't know how many times higher than that of actors!

Everyone knows clearly that scientific research personnel are the backbone of the Dragon Nation's rise and the true pillars of the Dragon Nation!

Before the gala started, countless Dragon Nation viewers had already gathered around the TV, waiting with excitement.

"This year, I don't know who will be able to win this award…"

"I remember last year it was Elder Zhao and others…"

"This is really hard to judge, now with this technological explosion, every one of the nominated big shots, their scientific research achievements, if placed in the past, would definitely be the undisputed number one!"

"Yeah! This year is really a battle of gods!"

"…"

Amidst the discussions of the masses, in front of the TV, a female host with a face of national peace and prosperity slowly walked to the center of the stage…

This person is none other than the leading female host of Yangshi—Dong Qing!

Dong Qing stood still in the center of the stage and smiled atmospherically at all the viewers in front of the TV.

"In this world, there is such a group of the most lovely people, they contribute selflessly, casting swords for the country! They are dedicated to the people, firmly engraving the five big characters of serving the people into the depths of their hearts! They burn their youth in the most barren places of the motherland, blooming brilliantly like the Malan flowers on the Gobi Desert…"

"The happy life of the Dragon Nation today is precisely carried by such a group of people with their own backbones and their own flesh and blood!"

"From being poor and blank to the current well-off life, from being bullied in the past to being proud and elated now! They have paid too, too much…"

"Today, these most lovely people have arrived at the scene!"

"Some of them are old, some are still sticking to their posts despite serious illness, some have hidden their names, and only today can they be reunited with their families!"

"…"

Dong Qing's hosting script is very long…

Very, very long.

It seems like she wants to exhaust the life of everyone present.

But it is also so short, short enough that these great souls could pass away at any time…

At this very moment, the viewers in front of the TV.

Were already teary-eyed…

Every word of Dong Qing was like a heavy hammer, hitting the heart of every Dragon Nation person.

"Yeah! Without scientific research personnel, how could we ordinary Dragon Nation people live such a good life now?"

"I never dared to imagine before that a corporate slave like me could one day live in a big villa given by the country, without working overtime, and accompany the person I like to watch the gala…"

"A gala like this should be held several times a year, and the treatment of scientific research personnel should be further improved! Building the country with technology is not an empty phrase!"

"Unfortunately, Major General Song… Major General Song has already sacrificed, otherwise, today's gala would definitely be Major General Song's home court…"

"Sigh! Major General Song is for the country and the people…"

Talking about Song Qi, many netizens in the comment section couldn't help but choke up.

The two words Song Qi were once the pride of the Dragon Nation.

But now, they have become the scar that all Dragon Nation people are most unwilling to recall.

The eternal white moonlight.

If Major General Song were still alive and saw that we were all living a good life.

He should be very gratified, right…

Many Dragon Nation netizens thought secretly in their hearts.

"Stop thinking about it! The award ceremony has officially started!"

This remark instantly pulled everyone's thoughts back to the award ceremony itself.

"Next!"

"It is the most exciting moment of this gala! The Dragon Nation's highest science and technology award is the top technology award in the current Dragon Nation!"

"Who will it fall to?"

"The first person in the award sequence is—Director of the Imperial Capital Sky News Research Institute, First-Class Professor of Electronic Communication at Jinghua University, Academician Su Qi!"

"Academician Su Qi has been deeply cultivating the field of communication and energy conduction for many years! Through hardships and difficulties, success is achieved!"

"After decades of sharpening the sword…"

"…"

Amidst Dong Qing's voice, the old man sitting in the first row of the gala stood up tremblingly.

Walking step by step towards the center of the venue!

The next second, the Great Leader took the lead in applauding!

The scene was instantly filled with thunderous applause!

This is a night belonging to scientific research personnel; in the past few decades, Dragon Nation's scientists have won everyone's respect with their dedication!

Of course, the Dragon Nation's highest science and technology award is not just awarded to one person.

This year's science and technology award nominated a total of twenty-seven academicians and units, and was finally awarded to four people.

In addition to Academician Su Qi, who developed psychic energy transmission.

The other three who won the big award.

Were Professor Wu Guangsheng, who presided over the shuttle research and development work.

Professor Lin Chaoqian, who engaged in theoretical physics and greatly promoted the popularization of psychic energy.

Zhao Keqin, who was familiar with Song Qi, also won the award for his outstanding contribution to psychic energy materials science!

Looking at the four elderly people in the center of the venue.

The applause in the venue was like ocean waves, one wave after another, and it didn't stop until a full three minutes later.

After the sound in the venue became much quieter.

The Great Leader then slowly stood up and walked onto the stage.

The last link was for the Great Leader to personally award medals to these four scientists.

For every scientific research personnel, this is definitely a supreme honor!

Hanging four shining medals on the chests of the four people.

The Great Leader then turned around and looked at the viewers across the country with burning eyes.

"The four masters are all titans in the Dragon Nation's scientific community and are the peerless national scholars of our Dragon Nation!"

"The medal is not a reward, but a compensation!"

"Compensating the masters, and also compensating all scientific research personnel, for the youth they burned passionately while racking their brains for the Dragon Nation!"

"…"

'Boom boom boom'!!!

The scene erupted again with applause like thunder.

The Great Leader didn't speak, reached out his hand, and pressed it down twice in mid-air.

A moment later, the applause in the venue finally stopped.

For a time, everyone's eyes were looking at the Great Leader eagerly.

Waiting for the Great Leader's follow-up.

"Today!"

"There is one more award that needs to be announced by me personally!"

One more award?

Everyone present looked at each other, clearly seeing the confusion in each other's eyes…

Hasn't the highest science and technology award already been given out?

What other award is there?

And it's announced by the Great Leader personally, this face is simply too big!

"I announce, the winner of the Dragon Nation's highest science and technology award—Lifetime Achievement Award is—Director of the Northwest Military Region's 11th Aircraft Research Institute, Song Qi!!!"

As soon as this was said.

The venue was instantly quiet enough to hear a pin drop… ===== CHAPTER 1151 =====
