Chapter 418

As the Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Military Region, Lu Debiao also held the heavy responsibility of guarding the imperial capital.

His instincts were naturally very sharp.

Almost in an instant, he realized that something major had happened.

Just as he was about to make a call to inquire about the situation, the phone rang on its own.

"Re... Report, Commander! A major explosion occurred in the suburbs of the capital! The explosion source is approximately 18 kilometers above ground, with an extremely high intensity, roughly 9,000 tons of TNT equivalent."

"Preliminary assessment is a small-scale nuclear weapon explosion..."

Hearing this report, Lu Debiao's brain buzzed, and his whole body went numb.

Even with his deep composure, Lu Debiao felt his legs go weak at this moment, and he couldn't help but want to collapse to the floor.

The capital, nuclear weapon, exploded?

What kind of international joke is this!

This is the capital!

The heart of the entire Dragon Nation!

Who the hell has the ability to sneak a nuclear weapon in and detonate it right under the nose of this commander-in-chief!

This is too outrageous!

And, they turned a nuclear weapon into a firework?

What the hell is the meaning of this!

Could it be that they wanted to wish the whole nation a Happy New Year?

This is too ridiculous!

Lu Debiao felt like he was going crazy.

He always felt that the opponent's methods were so brilliant that he couldn't even guess their intentions.

If he couldn't handle this matter properly, he, the Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Military Region, would definitely be facing a military tribunal!

The next second, Lu Debiao pulled himself together and picked up the receiver.

He roared at the other end.

"Where is the anti-missile unit?"

"What are they doing! Why was there not a single reaction when the enemy's missile hit the capital!!"

"Have they become idiots from celebrating the New Year?"

The operator on the other end of the phone listened to Lu Debiao's roar, hesitated for a long time, and then spoke.

"Report... Commander, according to the anti-missile unit, the anti-missile satellites did not detect any missile trajectory entering the border... Furthermore, analyzing the explosion, they speculate that this nuclear attack was likely ground-launched..." ===== CHAPTER 420 =====
