Chapter 174: Huh? The Arrogant Demon King Shouldn't Have Appeared Yet, Right!? (Please Follow and Read)

For Lu Zheng, who already possessed combat power surpassing the peak God King level, these God King-level assessment tasks were extremely simple.

It could even be said that they were simply handing him a God King Throne for free.

【Ding! You have completed the first assessment task of the Dark God King divine throne inheritance assessment: Recover! The lost right hand of darkness!】

【Rewards: Dark affinity +30%; Divine Skill: Dark Space】

【Current dark affinity: 130%】

Lu Zheng possessed passive skills from multiple dark-attribute entities such as Qiongqi and the Death God King, so his affinity for darkness was already maxed out.

Therefore, after this affinity was added, it immediately surpassed one hundred percent.

Dark energy actively fused into his body.

Lu Zheng looked at the rewarded skill.

【Skill: Dark Space】

【Effect: Minimum cost of one hundred million mana points, completely absorb all light within a certain range, turning it into absolute darkness; non-dark-attribute entities have all attributes reduced by 50%, skill damage and attack range weakened by a minimum of 50%, dark skill power amplified by 200%; dark power continuously deals a minimum of ten million points of corrosive damage per second to targets】

This should count as a domain-type skill, with the triple effects of weakening enemies, amplifying oneself, and adding damage.

And if Lu Zheng used this skill to unleash dark-attribute attack skills, combined with his original critical strike aura and similar amplifications, there was no doubt it could directly increase his output damage.

It counted as an amplification to his combat power.

The first skill was already quite good, so Lu Zheng hurriedly continued to the next assessment.

【Second assessment task: Darkness, devour everything!】

【Description: Use Dark Space to devour over one billion living entities to complete the objective】

【Rewards: Dark affinity +40%; Divine Skill: Dark Conversion】

Seeing this assessment task, Lu Zheng could not help but feel fortunate that he had not directly wiped out all the monsters in the thirty-eight Divine Nation Plane instances; otherwise, the target of one billion would have been truly hard to find.

After all, the Abyss Demon Realm had already been cleansed by him, and there were simply not many monsters still gathered together.

Only within the Divine Nation Plane, where the followers of these Evil Gods were, was the quantity still somewhat guaranteed.

Immediately, he had his avatar rampage through these instances. Dark Space opened, directly channeling one trillion mana points, dealing one hundred billion points of dark corrosive damage per second.

One minute later, the assessment task was complete.

【Ding! You have completed the second assessment task of the Dark God King divine throne inheritance assessment: Darkness, devour everything!】

【Rewards: Dark affinity +40%; Divine Skill: Dark Conversion】

【Current dark affinity: 170%】

【Skill: Dark Conversion】

【Effect: Minimum cost of one million mana points, can convert targets devoured by darkness within Dark Space into dark servants; as long as darkness endures, the servants shall not perish】

Lu Zheng was not particularly surprised by this skill; at most, it counted as a combat support skill for when facing group attacks.

Lu Zheng had his External Avatar, which was far more useful than this skill.

He did not pay it much mind and continued to look at the final assessment.

【Third assessment task: Seize! The Dark Divine Hammer】

【Description: The Dark Divine Hammer was taken by the Arrogant Demon King. Recover the Dark Divine Hammer to complete the assessment】

【Rewards: Dark affinity +50%; Divine Skill: Shadow of Darkness】

Huh? The Arrogant Demon King — shouldn't have appeared yet, right!?

Of the Abyss's nine great Demon Kings, only three had revived: the Hatred Demon King, the Fear Demon King, and the Greed Demon King. The Arrogant Demon King had not yet revived, so how could he be found? Lu Zheng was currently in the Abyss Demon Realm; upon sensing the guidance of the dark left eye, he immediately arrived at the location it pointed toward.

Thump! Thump! Thump! Underground, within a enormous pool, a gigantic heart was constantly beating, surging demonic energy being absorbed and condensed with each beat.

Lu Zheng could basically confirm that this was where the Arrogant Demon King would revive, but he had not found the location of the Dark Divine Hammer. Clearly, only after the Arrogant Demon King had truly revived could the Dark Divine Hammer be obtained.

So the question arose: how does one make a Demon King revive quickly? Based on the information received during the divine throne inheritance process and his analysis of the Demon King skills he had acquired, all Demon King revivals required the absorption of sufficient energy from specific negative emotions.

The Hatred Demon King absorbed the power of hatred, while the Arrogant Demon King needed to absorb sufficient power of arrogance.

Where could one collect so much emotional energy?

Even though Lu Zheng's combat power was now sufficient to crush God King-level opponents, reviving a Demon King was still something he could not do.

After all, among his skills, the most they could do was increase health points and lifespan; he had no resurrection technique at all.

Let alone reviving a Demon King.

Unwilling to give up, Lu Zheng used the 'Heavenly Theft' skill to obtain information about the Dark Divine Hammer, only to find that its guidance also stopped at this heart.

With things having reached this point, this Dark God King throne could not be inherited.

Lu Zheng decisively used the 'Heavenly Theft' skill again and obtained the divine throne inheritance information for the Light God King.

This one was very easy to find.

Still within the Water Globe Star, inside an instance called 'Light's Peak', he found something named the 'Right Eye of Light'.

The dark left eye could also open the Light God King's inheritance, but previously Lu Zheng had used that item to open the Dark God King's inheritance, and it could not be reused.

【Ding! You have opened the divine assessment: Light God King! To inherit the divine throne, you need to satisfy the following three conditions】

【Condition one: Light affinity reaches 100%】

【Condition two: Complete three assessment tasks】

【Condition three: Condense a divine core】

This was a good point — apart from the Death God King and the Destruction God King, the divine throne assessments for the other three God Kings only had three assessment tasks, the same number as a Lower God's assessment.

Of course, the difficulty was in no way comparable.

【First assessment task: Purify! The polluted Kingdom of Light!】

【Description: The Divine Nation Plane of the Light God King shattered in battle, with only a portion remaining fallen within the Water Globe Star. It has been polluted by demonic energy. Purify this damaged plane and redeem the Winged Race who have fallen due to demonic energy corruption】

【Rewards: Light affinity +30%; Divine Skill: Light Redemption】

This assessment did not seem difficult. Lu Zheng quickly found the so-called Divine Nation Plane fragment.

According to reason, if the Divine Nation Plane shatters and collapses, it will directly disappear; unexpectedly, a fragment can still remain, presumably because it finally merged with the Water Ball Star, which is how it was preserved.

The Winged People are the retinue of the Light God King; they are a very powerful race, those with one pair of wings are ordinary Winged People, and upon reaching adulthood they can attain Saint-level combat power.

Two pairs of wings indicate demigod-level, three pairs indicate lower true god, four pairs indicate Mid God, and five pairs indicate upper god.

The strongest have six pairs of wings, i. e., twelve wings.

The Winged People are also called Light Angels; the twelve-winged angels are the strongest retinue of the Light God King.

The damaged Divine Nation Plane has become a dungeon called the Fallen Angel City, which is also a Saint-level dungeon that no one has previously explored in depth.

Lu Zheng entered it, and with a casual sense he discovered that the strongest entity there is of Mid God level, namely an eight-winged angel.

【68> He directly released the Demonic Exorcism skill, then unleashed over a million Holy Light Illumination large light orbs.

He directly released the "Drive Away Demons and Eliminate Evil" skill, then released over one million large light balls of "Holy Light Illuminates All".

In an instant, all the angels were purified, and the entire dungeon was cleansed.

The fallen angel that had been baring its teeth and claws just now directly knelt before him.

"Thank you for saving me, Your Majesty!"

"Thanks for the support! (End of chapter)"
