Chapter 167: Permission Granted for Leap, Martial Fortunes Flourish (Part Two)

~7 min read 1,229 words

Sanctuary Star orbit.

The massive fleet that Xisi brought out began to separate slowly.

A large number of old warships and damaged vessels were left behind; although each ship's combat power is low, their quantity is enormous.

The offensive capability may be somewhat lacking, but they are well suited for assisting the defense of Sanctuary Star.

The more elite and advanced warships, however, slowly retreated to the rear, away from the front lines.

At the same time, supplies from Sanctuary Star began to rush toward this fleet that is about to rush to Terra, delivering provisions.

Watching the whistling ascent before them, a strong gust of wind carrying a massive amount of dust swept across.

Xisi simultaneously raised his hand to slightly shield his eyes and examined the densely packed transport ships Yunxuji taking off and landing.

"The supply delivery will be completed within three hours."

"Because you, sir, left enough warships, Leon Tusi was able to draw a large elite Sunblade fleet to join your expeditionary force."

"Now not only the Imperial Navy, but also elite warships from the Mechanical Church, Battle Nun, and the Black Gold Forbidden Army are present."

Tura Zhen followed behind Xisi; his tall golden figure attracted the attention of many busy mortals.

But upon seeing Tura Zhen's respectful posture, the crowd's greater confusion still turned toward Xisi ahead.

The battle zone is so vast that those who know Xisi are merely a drop in the ocean among the massive number of people.

More people are still completely unfamiliar with Xisi.

Thus they are genuinely curious: who is he? How could he make even the Marshal of the Black Gold Forbidden Army bow respectfully?

Xisi watched a transport ship loaded with ammunition slowly lift off; his gaze kept rising, seeing not only his own black warships gathering, but also a large number of equally elite warships from other factions converging.

Aside from the Imperial Navy and the Black Gold Forbidden Army, which were relatively normal.

The National Church's Battle Nun and the Mechanical Church's mechanical fleet, upon learning they were joining under Xisi, erupted in great cheers.

Xisi even saw a Battle Nun warship bearing the characters 'Xisi' prominently, sailing toward Aolake, seemingly intending to serve as a guard.

"Do they know me?"

Xisi, puzzled, withdrew his gaze; after all, in a galaxy where information is blocked and efficiency slow, even though Xisi has been fighting for so long, the majority still do not know him.

Not to mention the Sun star region shielded by the Insect Tide Will.

Only Tura Zhen awkwardly averted his eyes, not looking directly at Xisi.

"The Empire... not all factions' messages are this slow..."

Xisi was startled, then recovered; the Mechanical Church aside, who knows if there is a 'critical' use of certain Alien Forms or even intelligent technology?

The National Church, moreover, has the wealth to establish its own star-language court, build a dedicated National Church line; the efficiency of information transmission is surely many times better than your Empire's.

Thus, when Tura Zhen and Leon Tusi were unfamiliar with Xisi, the National Church and the Mechanical Church were rather familiar with their newly risen saint.

Having grown tired of mocking the Empire's terrible resource utilization, Xisi finally arrived at the massive hangar platform.

The last supply transport ship roared into the sky, and the fleet about to expedition Terra was conducting its final loading and assembly.

A multitude of hangar doors began to close slowly, the engine's glow rising continuously as energy was fed in.

Tura Zhen looked at Xisi in the center of the pad, facing the gradually quieting surroundings, with the boundless fleet in the background readying for departure; after adjusting his mindset, he respectfully bowed his head:

"Sir, we've been waiting for you."

Tura Zhen looked at Xisi, while Xisi gazed at the unwavering army above, about to march toward Terra.

He silently took one last look from the ground perspective, then a sphere of Green Radiance enveloped Xisi and Tura Zhen.

When the Green Radiance faded, Xisi reappeared, already standing on Aolake's Bridge.

Around him were busy crew members, Fanluosi continuously shouting orders to mobilize the fleet below.

Tura Zhen looked at the familiar Bridge before him, his complexion froze again, as if he had returned to the era of the great expedition.

Only the era of those days has passed; this warship representing the Empire's highest glory, whose occupant on the Mechanical Throne has now become Xisi.

The bustling sounds gradually faded as Xisi returned.

When the final 'Confirm' sounded, Fanluosi finally turned, looking at Xisi seated high on the Throne behind him, and the crew all gazed respectfully.

On both sides of the Bridge stood the Black Gold Forbidden Army, whose quiet presence left a deep impression on Tura Zhen; outside the port windows, the boundless fleet's engine lights were at maximum, all decks sealed, and the windows were crowded with countless silhouettes gazing at Aolake's massive hull.

Even on the ground, the battle's roar seemed much quieter, and all eyes across Sanctuary Star were fixed on Xisi.

Time seemed neither slow nor fast; under everyone's silent gaze, Xisi finally raised his right hand slowly.

"Depart."

He spoke softly, but the response was the Bridge's instrument chatter rising again.

Then, accompanied by the countdown transmitted to all warships, when the ship's electronic countdown reached 'three', the countdown vanished, replaced by Leon Tusi's personal broadcast from the nearby airfield:

"Guidance is lit, the route is clear;"

"Permission granted for Leap, may martial fortunes flourish!"

Solar System.

A commonplace star system outside the galaxy's third arm.

From a galactic perspective, this system appears no different.

Even its ecological planet is neither unique nor massive.

Yet this place is the most watched spot by all galactic races, whether acknowledged or not.

Because this ecological planet is called Earth, and the species it nurtures is called humanity.

Thus, when the galaxy entered the Human Era, one could say that everything in the galaxy, no matter how tangled the conflicts, ultimately always finds Terra's shadow.

Therefore, ten thousand years later, when the Solar System erupted into war again, it naturally attracted the entire galaxy's attention.

Although the Insect Tide Will shielded Subspace, both external humans and other alien races imagined how heroic and fearless the humans in the Solar System would be, delivering a crushing blow to Terran.

But for the humans currently within the Solar System, all this does not seem so wonderful.

The Earth-Moon system, orbital firepower on the Moon is utterly silent.

The shattered warship wreckage, laden with dense corpses, silently rolls in the cold void.

Distant Pluto, Mars, Jupiter and other planets tumble with dark shadows, while at the core, Terra, the warship wreckage that has just rolled by, is slowly being pressed through by an incomparably massive figure.

Terran also have super‑warships.

When the Terran ultimate bio‑ship called "Ancient Ship" sails through Terra's Orbit, several continents on the ground all fall into darkness beneath its shadow.

And even the battleship beside it looks like a tiny shrimp compared to the colossal beast, in the ground's shadows.

There is no heroic uprising of humanity as imagined from the outside.

Nor any trace of Terran suffering a grievous blow.

Only beneath the boundless shadow of the roaming beast do human soldiers curl up behind high walls......

Their eyes are filled with terror!
