Chapter 260: These Armies—Are They Born from the Earth? (Part 1)
Wolf King Dadian.
The scent of wine and meat, as per the millennial tradition, continuously drifts beneath the eaves.
Only the former merriment of feasting remains, now gone as successive battles have slain countless wolf pups and the galaxy's situation grows ever more desperate.
Even with Limanlus personally organizing the Feasting Hall, the Dadian's atmosphere has remained rather low.
So much so that Limanlus, a rarity, is still holding a report and reviewing it during the Feasting Hall.
At this moment, as the sergeant below looks at the report and speaks in surprise, the Wolf Pack members, who had little appetite for wine and meat, all widen their eyes.
Although the Wolf Pack is primarily employed by the Emperor to counter other Astarte Legions, it never took part in the first Ulanuo battle against the Green Skin.
Yet they are well aware of the Combat Moon of the Green Skin alien forms.
They not only know it, but also the heavy casualties the Combat Moon has inflicted on the Empire.
And now, in a galaxy already desperate enough, Helusu hasn't resolved it, and the Green Skin are back?
It's one thing they returned, but nine of them at once???
"Father! We... what should we do?"
A sergeant, shocked, stands up, intending to boldly declare that they'll go out and exterminate these alien forms to relieve the Empire.
But not only is the Wolf Pack suffering heavy losses now; even at full strength, it would be no match before nine Combat Moons!
Thus the sergeant, after a long pause, ends up asking Limanlus what to do!
On one hand, the Empire's situation has deteriorated to this degree, causing resentment; on the other, an awkwardness of wanting to act yet finding nothing possible.
And this awkwardness, spurred by the sergeant's question, quickly spreads to every Alpha Wolf in the Dadian.
Only the Alpha Wolves' faces flush with embarrassment, while Limanlus above remains calm, deep in thought.
The Alpha Wolf who spoke looks speechlessly toward the excited pack behind him.
He then raises the report and shakes it vigorously.
"What should we do?"
"These green... green subhumans are our allies!"
The awkward tension that had just risen in the Dadian freezes instantly.
All Alpha Wolves stare dumbfounded at the sergeant speaking, and after a long pause they gradually grasp what was said.
Green... subhumans?
Piloting Combat Moons?
Is... the Loyalist Faction???
The Wolf Pack looks bewildered, and above, Limanlus, equally puzzled, after half a moment of thought, sees two characters forming before his eyes.
Finally, as Limanlus decides, he suddenly looks up and shouts at the bewildered crowd:
"Physics!"
Alpha Wolves: "!!!"
Without even a question mark, the Wolf Pack members instantly glare with raging eyes.
Who?!
No one knows that no one may utter those two words before the Wolf Pack?!
Only when they realize the speaker is the Father of Genes do they quickly retract their angry gazes and become puzzled.
Limanlus, seeing himself blurt it out, quickly regains composure and rephrases:
"Not Physics, it's Xisi!"
Here among the Wolf Pack, Xisi is almost synonymous with Physics.
Thus Limanlus earlier thought of Xisi when saying Physics.
Now changing his words, the Alpha Wolves under his command, hearing the name 'Xisi', gradually show a hint of horrified expression, and, looking at the report, state firmly:
"These green subhumans must have been brought by Xisi!"
Upon receiving the news, Limanlus, who has dealt with Xisi many times, quickly deduces a clue.
Meanwhile, on the far side of the distant galaxy, another group still hesitates to join Helusu's army, watching from afar.
Yet, compared to the mid‑low ranks of that group eager to rush to Helusu's aid, the Original Body remains riddled with hesitation.
At this moment, the Death Guard has fully fallen into Chaos.
Masses of Death Guard transform into rotting plague warriors, constantly seeking to bring more of the benevolent father's Blessing to the galaxy.
Only Motalian, now a demonic Original Body, even though this would place him fully on the Filth's side, still harbors great hesitation.
At this moment on Motalian's Bridge, facing a group of agitated offspring below, Motalian furrows his brow, seated on the flagship Throne, silent.
He lets the offspring below argue repeatedly about deploying troops immediately.
Now Motalian fully realizes that not only himself, but even Helusu has been trapped by the Four Gods.
His initial purpose was merely to support Helusu, hoping the Empire's interior could sit down and clarify matters.
During this process, Motalian still plotted how, after this dialogue, the Death Guard would reclaim more worlds for the Empire.
It can be said that from start to finish Motalian never considered wielding blade or gun, nor imagined his former brothers fighting to the death.
Until the Yisitefan battle erupts, witnessing Helusu's massacre—including his own offspring—Motalian realizes the cause he once supported has fully turned into an outright rebellion.
Even Motalian's entire Death Guard rebellion is led by Taifengsi into the dead end set by the Filth.
After being tormented by the Filth for a long time, Motalian, to protect his offspring, reluctantly joins the Filth.
Thus this explains why Motalian, though initially supporting Helusu and first to fall into Chaos, is the most hesitant among the rebels.
Consequently, when the Filth is later forced with no options, it can only hand over the command of the legion to Taifengsi.
"Taifengsi?"
Finally, Motalian, unwilling to endure his offspring's quarrels below, faces the Bridge swarming with mosquitoes and flies, gently flutters his moth‑like wings, sending a foul wind across the Bridge.
Listening to Mo Talian's question, the Death Guard company commanders below exchanged glances, and then, since none had any information about that company commander, gradually fell silent.
Only a few die‑hard loyalists who have already pledged to Taifengsi still remain relentless:
"Father, wherever the company commander is now, we should mobilize at once and answer the War General's call."
"The whole galaxy's situation is now crystal clear: either stand with the War General and, as victors, write a new Empire."
"Either… die!"
These company commanders even became somewhat overbearing, and Mo Talian, irritated, cast a glance at his own offspring.
But seeing the cheerful Naguo spirits hopping around them, knowing the Naguo were watching those men, Mo Talian could only reluctantly withdraw his gaze.
He then confirmed that Taifengsi's whereabouts were still unknown, and Mo Talian also produced a report he had long known.
Raising the report, Mo Talian's face finally, after being tripped up by the Four Gods all along, showed a faint smile.
"If we don't support the War General, must we die?"
Mo Talian smiled inexplicably, and several Naguo company commanders below looked surprised; they didn't understand the tune Mo Talian was singing.
Mo Talian then sent the report out, and in front of everyone, opened a projection.
Ten stars encircle, and a fleet of ships gathers.
The Green Skin and human allied forces, gathered beneath Xisi's statue, under the Death Guard's widening eyes, with a splendid military bearing not inferior to Helusu's, slowly flow toward Terra!
"The galaxy's future must follow the War General's demands?"
"You…"
"Will you agree?"
