Chapter 70: Hundredfold Power, Activate!
The surging enemy tide did not pause for a moment.
Moreover, because many Green Skin and Tai Lun behind could not squeeze in, they began frenzied attacks on each other.
But this mutual attrition among the enemies did not ease the pressure at all for the Imperial Side positioned at the very center.
At this moment, in the Imperial Side front line, Battle Nun, Asitate and other representatives stood frozen, staring blankly at Xisi, who was reloading his Explosive Gun.
Even Daiweiluo, who had been following Xisi all the way, finally gritted his teeth after a long pause and spoke:
"Perhaps we can wait a little longer."
Xisi ignored him, merely reassembled his Explosive Gun and added another magazine to his body.
Daiweiluo, helpless, had to state his objection clearly:
"Lord Sisi, even you could not possibly slay so many Alien Forms alone."
"Not to mention after reaching the Spire, you still have to find a way to blow the Spire down."
Daiweiluo urged reluctantly, for when Xisi decided to go to the Spire himself, not only Asitate and Battle Nun who followed were stunned, but Daiweiluo himself was at a loss for words.
Xisi then performed a final check of his weapons and gear, and finally stood upright before everyone.
"Can we wait for Fanluosi, can the fleet in Orbit wait for us?"
Daiweiluo and the others froze instantly, instinctively looking up at the sky; the fleet that had been fairly visible was now much sparser.
Even many armed merchant ships were recklessly dispatching transport vessels, bearing heavy losses, moving their crews onto safer battleship cruisers.
At the same time, escort ships that had completely lost combat capability, as well as numerous escape vessels, kept converging.
As the Empire Fleet grew increasingly scarce, the Green Skin and Tai Lun fleets, however, kept swelling.
The crowd averted their gaze; by now Xisi had finished preparing, holding the Explosive Gun in his left hand and the Red Sword in his right, facing the Spire that should have collapsed an hour ago, and stepped forward directly.
Only after everyone was looking at Xisi's back did Xisi pause, and at the very moment before donning his helmet, he turned his head with a serious expression:
"After blowing the Spire down, I will return to fetch you all."
The crowd was stunned, especially the ad‑hoc Asitate and Battle Nun, who were accustomed to the Empire's 'efficient' choices; Xisi's plainly human words felt unfamiliar to them.
While respect rose on everyone's faces, Xisi, after finishing his sentence, turned around and put on his helmet.
Xisi's whole body was once again fully encased in armor, but the imagined scene of firepower clearing a path for Xisi to burst through never materialized.
What everyone first saw was Xisi no longer concealing himself, a brilliant red light erupting from his hand and golden sunburst flaring from his body!
Then, like a cannonball, Xisi bent his knees, gathered force, and leapt into the dense enemy tide!
When Xisi landed amid a spray of Green Skin and Tai Lun, the crowd behind, who had just raised solemn respect for him, froze instantly; the admiration in their eyes was replaced by horror before it could dissipate.
Even beneath their wide‑open eyes lingered a hint of being toyed with in frustration.
"Emotions are already at this level, and you still claim you can play invincible!?"
Those around watched Xisi, bathed in dual‑colored Divine Light, moving through the enemy tide like an eraser; after staring blankly at this exaggerated scene for a while, they finally turned back to Daiweiluo.
Although Daiweiluo knew that Xisi's armor and sword both bore the Divine Emperor and Terror Blessing.
Daiweiluo truly did not expect that these two old things would be spent so lavishly!
Facing the gazes of those around him, Daiweiluo's mouth twitched, unsure how to answer, and after a pause he suddenly recalled the explanation Xisi had given Fanluosi.
As Xisi, now turning into a bulldozer, withdrew his gaze, Daiweiluo's complexion flushed, and he spoke to those beside him:
"I already said it! Blessing!"
The crowd stared blankly, not knowing how to respond to that answer; they could only watch Xisi charge alone through the enemy tide, eventually entering the abandoned Spirit Clan Spire.
Then, facing the endless Alien Form enemies before him, he finally steadied his fatigue, turned, and drew his weapon.
The Spirit Clan Spire at that moment.
He kicked a worm that had been hiding in a dark corridor, trying to jump out to scare him, embedding it into the wall.
Then, with a sword, he slashed a pursuing Green Skin boss, flipping him and using the massive body to block the doorway.
Xisi then, guided by the dense footprints scanned by his helmet, surged forward.
All the way, he kept killing worms that leapt from dark shadows, and behind him roared a horde of Green Skin youths trailing closely, trying to catch up and kill Xisi.
Having fully activated the Dual Throne Blessing with no room left, Xisi not only stunned the Tai Lun for a moment, but even the Green Skin behind, upon catching up, showed a hesitant glance.
Until some chaotic footsteps appeared ahead, along with Fanluosi's familiar roar; when Xisi rushed into the next platform, a dozen molten projectiles were hurled, completely sealing the passage behind him.
Accompanied by the roaring behind that temporarily blocked the enemies, not only Fanluosi but also the others gaped at Xisi's sudden appearance here.
Even though they could not see outside, seeing the Divine Light on Xisi and the implication of his presence, everyone could not believe the thought that rose in their hearts.
"What does that mean? Do you mean you alone cut your way from the center of the basin?"
The crowd stared blankly at Xisi, who scanned around, noticing Fanluosi hadn't even reached the middle of the Spire, and, while quickening his pace, frowned and said:
"Why are you still here?"
The crowd instantly withdrew their astonishment toward Xisi, for at this moment no one dared show any disrespect.
Even Fanluosi, the Judge, twitched his mouth corner, feeling a bit guilty.
Summoning courage, Fanluosi stepped forward, pointing at a large door behind him and explained:
"These Spirit Clan doors are too sturdy; we are attempting to bomb them."
Xisi, hearing this, looked toward the door and indeed saw several Mechanical Priests continuously discussing in front of a Spirit Clan door.
Seeing that these Mechanical Priests hadn't even set the explosives, Xisi's expression grew more displeased.
After all, every word spoken now was paid for with countless Empire soldiers' lives.
Yet Xisi did not continue to scold Fanluosi's squad, because a glance at this blood‑soaked, heavily thinned group showed how hard their journey had been.
At this moment a Mechanical Priest finally returned, speaking in an absolutely rational, cold mechanical voice:
"Lord, we need to first dispatch a small team to go around the rear, cut off the energy transmission conduit, then drill an opening from outside, finally place explosives according to strict ratios, and trigger them with our programmed detonation sequence; perhaps there is a 72% success rate for breaching the door."
Fanluosi's expression shifted from anticipation to shock, finally freezing completely.
The surviving teams around them stared blankly at the Mechanical Priests offering the solution, their eyes uncertain whether cursing or preparing to serve the Divine Emperor loyally.
Until Fanluosi clenched his teeth and decided to force himself onward, his body was directly pushed aside by someone.
Fanluosi, angry, tried to rebuke, but as he lifted his eyes to speak, he saw Xisi, who had pushed him aside, already drawing his sword and walking over.
"Why make it so troublesome!"
Xisi quips, then walks straight to the main gate and picks up the Red Sword……
