Chapter 80: Is This Appropriate?

~7 min read 1,387 words

The Command Hall fell silent in an instant.

The Battalion Commander, the Battle Nun, even the Admiral, everyone stared dumbfounded at the commander as he uttered words they had never before combined in their minds.

Sha Hansen even rose to his feet, repeatedly checking with his prosthetic eye when exactly this commander had been subject to Chaos Corruption.

Only after all the instruments showed that the commander was not speaking nonsense and bore no Chaos Energy did Sha Hansen withdraw his gaze, lower his head slowly, and then......

He suddenly lifted his head!

Since the commander wasn't lying, it meant that behind those words there truly was a group of Green Skin carrying Imperial Flags???

Even though Sha Hansen had been a Judge his whole life and wielded power strong enough to build an unbreakable defense line, he was at this moment startled by the news and didn't know what to do.

It wasn't until the Foundry General first regained his composure, raised his hand, and controlled all the Displays in the Command Hall to project what the commander saw, that everyone hurriedly turned their attention to the Displays.

Then, with a deliberate focus, when a wave of Luchao brandishing various weapons barreled through the Tyranid Worm Sea, the first image everyone saw was the Imperial Flags strewn across the hills atop the Green Skin heads that the commander had discovered!

Seeing that this galaxy truly had Green Skin carrying Imperial Flags, and that they had encountered them, everyone present—including Sha Hansen—was frozen in place.

Their expressions at that moment were no better than those of the Star Realm Army Commander who first witnessed the scene.

Moreover, as the Foundry General summoned more satellites, continuously increasing the resolution, the clearer Displays even revealed more exaggerated details.

This time, without anyone else needing to notice, Sha Hansen—who had already focused all his attention—suddenly stood up and pressed his face against a Display.

At the same time, his left prosthetic eye rotated forward repeatedly, aimed directly at the Display.

Without waiting for Sha Hansen to speak, the Foundry General immediately enlarged the image Sha Hansen was focusing on.

Then everyone saw that group of Green Skin......

They were even wearing Imperial Helmets!

And looking at the crooked Imperial Eagle Emblem on the helmets, it seemed the crowd could faintly hear, from the Green Skin's gaping mouths beneath the emblem, a thunderous "For the Empire".

Moreover, looking further, one could see those Green Skin had abandoned the Great Axe, instead mimicking the Empire by taking rifles fitted with Bayonets!

Of course, if everyone insists on counting the Great Axe mounted in front of the barrels as a bayonet.

Now that every detailed image was displayed, everyone in the Dadian—not just Sha Hansen and the higher‑ups, but also the rank‑and‑file—stood stunned, their eyes full of the question, "What the hell did we just see?"

Some State Church Priests stared blankly for a while, then closed their eyes to pray to the Divine Emperor, begging his forgiveness for inadvertently witnessing such a blasphemous scene.

But the State Church Priests, cautious in their confession, while the Green Skin Frenzy raged on the front lines, Fanluosi, confronting a squad of stragglers he had found, shouted angrily:

"Divine Emperor?"

"The Divine Emperor is busy bestowing Blessings!"

The stragglers were stunned, and even several Political Commissars in the unit were left speechless by Fanluosi's rebuke.

Because when they followed Fanluosi's pointing finger, they saw a figure clad in Gilded Silver Armor, leading the Green Skin in a massive Waaagh while his whole body radiated golden light, and they could not muster any rebuttal!

At the same time, another pair of eyes looked at Fanluosi with even greater doubt, silently asking why the Divine Emperor was bestowing Blessings at this moment.

Fanluosi could not answer those doubts, and in the Command Hall at the Arctic, as everyone watched the Green Skin relentlessly charge toward Xisi at the Arctic, everyone also turned their gaze to Sha Hansen, the Judge, their eyes raising the same question.

Sha Hansen twitched the corner of his mouth for a while; after all, seeing Green Skin bearing Imperial Flags was enough to make one wonder if they'd fallen victim to Jianqi's sorcery, and now among that group of Green Skin there were even humans, with the leader radiating golden light.

The scene gave a feeling, as if... as if...

"It feels like the Divine Emperor is proclaiming sovereignty!"

Although Sha Hansen and Fanluosi were far apart, the two Judges each silently muttered a remark about Xisi in their hearts.

Then Fanluosi conceded, after all he had seen enough along the way.

And Sha Hansen, who was seeing Xisi for the first time, snapped back instantly after delivering that quip.

Staring blankly at the image, Sha Hansen's complexion suddenly turned awkward:

"Why does this look so much like a story where someone who finally obtains a priceless treasure forces two other covetous parties away by frantically bestowing Blessings?"

Only the protector is called the Divine Emperor, while the two covetous ones are called Gao Mao......

Even though the scale in the image isn't huge, the Green Skin resurrected by Xisi's Waaagh, with Waaagh energy emanating from their heads that could please Gao Mao, were so damn dense they were almost visible to the naked eye!

Even if the Divine Emperor intervened, just by my thought about this group of Green Skin, the crown on Xisi's head would instantly turn green into a little sun.

These images were transmitted back to the Command Hall without any concealment, and as everyone in the Hall turned their gaze to Sha Hansen, the tear‑less, wanting‑to‑cry expression that Fanluosi had been forced into by his subordinates finally appeared on Sha Hansen's face.

Facing the questioning looks of those around him, he seemed to realize that Xisi was the one the Divine Emperor had foretold in the Subspace prophecy, and Sha Hansen simply could not bring himself to utter the word "Heretic" aloud.

After all, even if Sha Hansen now pointed at Xisi and called him a Heretic, his subordinates would only stare, then draw their guns and kill Sha Hansen.

What does that mean?

The Emperor's Divine Selection also goes through Chaos?!

If Sha Hansen truly said that, everyone present would first have to eliminate Sha Hansen, the Heretic, on behalf of the Divine Emperor!

Finally, after holding it in for a long time, Sha Hansen faced this possible outcome and uttered, his face turning a rare shade of embarrassment:

"Perhaps these... Imperial Army troops really do have a slightly greener skin..."

The crowd stared blankly at Sha Hansen as he spoke, silently mocking him inside, because they couldn't point to a Green Skin and claim it wasn't human; now Sha Hansen had set the tone, who would dare dissent?

And now nothing is more convincing than the Divine Light flashing on Xisi's body.

Of course, that presumes everyone first ignores the green sun hovering over his golden‑lit crown.

At last, as Xisi gathered more and more Green Skin along the way, the distance to the North Forge Area grew ever shorter.

The Imperial Side began nervously preparing for the "welcome" operation, a group of soldiers with bewildered faces pondering what it meant to stay calm when they later saw a Green Ally, while rushing to their battle stations to defend.

Meanwhile, Sha Hansen and the other high‑ranking officials went straight to the front line, watching the Tyranid Worms ahead being completely stunned by the Green Skin behind them, forced to temporarily withdraw, their eyes fixed on Xisi's direction, filled with all sorts of awkwardness.

Until a swath of Green Radiance swept across the horizon, the highest‑level officials who had not broken the defense line, including Sha Hansen, watched the Green Radiance erupt from Xisi, and, counting on the fact that far more Green Skin now surrounded Xisi than humans, forced the golden light down; even Sha Hansen, who had seen Chaos Blessing before, turned completely rigid.

"Other gods' Blessings, I accept, but Gao Mao......"

Sha Hansen could not utter it, only staring at his own Divine Emperor's Divine Light being suppressed, and after a long moment he gritted his teeth and muttered:

"You two Alien Gods bestow Blessings upon other peoples' children......"

"And you have any face left?!"
