Chapter 97: Isn
The boundless plaza beneath the massive Four Gods statue.
The Four Gods statues towered into the clouds, their heads slightly bowed, as if surveying the world beneath them.
Under the Four Gods' gaze, the red pirates stared at the "enemies" who had just teleported onto the field, unsure whether to open fire.
After glancing at the Four Gods above and then at the Jianqi Qianzi, Terror Devourer, Naguo Death Guard, and Color Devil Imperial Prince before them—if it weren't for the additional Cursed Warriors and the Green Skin boss standing nearby, the pirates might have even mistaken the opponents for allies.
Only Xiulun stared dumbfounded at the "little tail" before him, realizing that while he hadn't left his place for a while, the galaxy had already gone insane, and only then did he slowly look up, focusing his attention on Xisi.
Xiulun, being perceptive, needed only a glance to know what tier of artifact the armor and demonic sword at Xisi's waist were.
Through those two artifacts, he confirmed Xisi's undisputed leadership.
Then, pragmatic Xiulun didn't fire immediately; instead, he instinctively wanted to negotiate, but the pirates hesitated, while Xisi and his demonic army under the evil gods had no reason to delay.
It's not even a question whether the red pirates are neutral; even if they are under some evil god, as long as they help Xisi accelerate cultivating SSR, the evil gods are happy to watch their own troops fight alongside Xisi against their own.
So, facing a nominal ally, Xiulun hadn't even opened his mouth when Xisi gave him a raised hand and an Explosive Gun shot.
The massive roar acted like a signal, prompting the demonic troops behind, already reveling in the exaggerated growth from following Xisi, to rush forward and pledge loyalty to Xisi!
Countless explosives arced through the air, and the pirates still hesitating nearby were suddenly stunned.
Xiulun's words were blocked by Xisi's explosive, so he hurried to the side, watching the shattered steel‑plastic building where he had just stood, and recalling that the blast had nearly hit him; though he usually wore a snarling, confident grin outwardly, he subconsciously swallowed hard.
He then intended to call Abadon to join this odd squad, but when he looked up, he found Abadon had actually run faster than him and was now honestly hiding behind him.
Xiulun: "???"
"Has this damn War General become so cowardly?!"
Xiulun, speechless, stared at Abadon hiding behind him, then, unable to bother with him further, looked up to prepare to command his troops against the enemy.
He finally refocused his attention forward, but the next scene left Xiulun frozen in place.
After all, anyone watching the modest Blessing earned by offering countless sacrifices now continuously poured from the Four Gods statues onto Xisi's demonic army; even if one cared little about "loyalty", Xiulun still felt a green, impotent rage.
Seeing this Blessing being received right before his eyes, Xiulun could only stare helplessly, unable to do anything else!
Then he watched Xisi lead his demonic troops, crushing the pirates that kept pouring in onto the ground!
Xiulun saw a Terror Torment Demon Sword‑wielding KongnueKuangZhanshi bathed in red light, wielding a double axe, charging forward under a barrage of Explosive Gun fire from over a dozen of his own Astat troops, chopping one head after another.
Xiulun's eyes widened, filled with blood‑shot veins that seemed to burst from his grandmother's house:
"That Blessing that shields against explosives—I even traded my own skull for it!"
Seeing Xisi lead his subordinates to cut down their own with his Blessing, Xiulun finally could not contain his fury and stood up.
The stunned pirates around them felt a surge of morale and were about to cheer, but Xiulun's towering figure rose, and Xisi, who was in front harvesting traitors and souls for the Divine Emperor and Terror, turned his gaze directly at him.
He then raised the Terror Torment Demon Sword, pointing it straight at Xiulun.
"Crouch!"
"Eh, fine~"
Xiulun obediently nodded and crouched again; after all, seeing the golden and crimson Divine Light on Xisi, fueled by Astat souls, Xiulun only regretted why he had stood up earlier.
But Xiulun thought crouching would be safe; then, looking back, he saw Xisi swing his sword, slashing a clueless pirate, and then stride toward him.
Xiulun was stunned, then, filled with deeper regret, rose up, unable to cry.
"These… gentlemen, perhaps we have a misunderstanding…"
Xiulun raised his hand to explain, but Xisi ignored him, directly raising the Explosive Gun in his hand.
Seeing this, Xiulun's face grew even more grim; he could only clench his teeth, stand up, and counterattack Xisi first.
When Xisi saw Xiulun stand up again, his expression flickered, then showed obvious impatience as he lowered the Explosive Gun slightly.
Both sides' explosives erupted simultaneously, but Xiulun rolled and crawled to dodge Xisi's incoming fire.
Xisi, bathed in Divine Light, came straight at him without evading.
After the exchange ended, Xiulun looked at the "illogical" craters he had rolled and crawled through, and saw that his barrage still couldn't affect Xisi; his face showed not only regret for his earlier bravado but also resentment toward the "little tail" Abadon had brought him.
Moreover, thinking of Abadon and watching Xisi draw nearer, Xiulun's terrified eyes suddenly recalled something.
Xiulun gave Xisi another serious glance; seeing that Xisi didn't even glance his way, only looking behind him, Xiulun finally opened his eyes wide and abruptly turned his head to look behind.
There, Abadon was honestly crouching right behind Xiulun…
"All this fuss…"
"Are you saying I'm taking this beating for you?!"
Xiulun's face instantly turned a pig‑liver hue with anger.
Especially seeing the demonic army behind Xisi using the Blessing he had begged for, wreaking havoc among his own pirates.
Xiulun finally fully realized that Abadon was evading Xisi's hunt, using his own men as cannon fodder!
What? You care about your people, but I'm not supposed to care?!
The more Xiulun thought, the angrier he became, and when a shadow appeared ahead, he quickly looked up and saw Xisi about to step forward.
Without almost any hesitation, Xiulun raised both hands and stood.
Seeing Xiulun's surrender, Xisi finally slowed his steps slightly, while Xiulun, with a face full of righteous justification and undeniable responsibility, spoke to Xisi:
"Isn't it just Abadon? You rest, I'll go catch him for you!"
Xisi looked at Xiulun who said that; although his attitude seemed overly false, his intention to capture Abadon was sincere.
But as Xisi was about to push Xiulun aside to personally beat up Abadon, Xiulun stepped aside, and the Abadon who had been crouching for ages suddenly stood up again.
Moreover, facing the Xisi about to capture him, Abadon's face showed only mockery.
Then, an A-space Evil Method not belonging to the Four Gods enveloped Abadon!
Abadon vanished from Xisi's sight, and behind the ranks a chorus of shocked shouts rose; the entire surface of the demon world was shrouded in shadow.
Looking up, Washituoer's massive, eerie Ominous Sign Ark led his and Abadon's huge joint fleet, its countless Subspace flashes appearing on the Orbit like a torrential rain.
