Chapter 1077: Worries and Anxieties of University Students; Premiere

"After two months of release, the comedy sci-fi film 'Crazy Alien', directed by Ning Hao, successfully wrapped up last night;"

"Its total box office lived up to expectations, settling at 3.02 billion yuan. Director Ning Hao also joined the 3 billion yuan box office director club with this film."

"Produced and made by Shiyue Culture under Lin Nan Film Industry, the animated blockbuster 'White Snake: Origin' also wrapped up around 10 o'clock last night, with a total box office of 1.019 billion yuan."

"In the morning, the sci-fi blockbuster 'Shanghai Fortress', co-produced by China Film Group, Northern Film Group, and Huashi Entertainment with an investment of 400 million RMB, held a premiere ceremony in Beijing;"

"At the premiere site in the Great Hall of the People, Director Teng Huatao high-profile shouted: In December the year before last, Chairman La came to the crew to visit, and at that time we set the box office target at 3 billion;"

"But today, I think we shouldn't be so 'short-sighted'. We should set our expectations further, for example, how about 4 billion? How about being the box office champion of the Spring Festival slot?"

"Everyone has unparalleled confidence and expectations for the other blockbuster of the same type, Lin Nan's sci-fi film 'The Wandering Earth', so let's strive to be more successful than him..."

"Last night, well-known actor, Beijing Film Academy Performance Department Performance Major doctoral student Zhai, was questioned by the whole internet; he is suspected of serious academic fraud and academic misconduct;"

"Consequently, the Beijing Film Academy Performance Department Performance Major was also implicated, the tutor team, academic system, and even the entire department management layer were all questioned by the public:"

"Whether there is serious academic misconduct, lax supervision, chaotic internal management, and even human private exchange, interest exchange, to manipulate academics, buying and selling academic qualifications, degrees..."

"I f*** his grandfather, this bunch of grandsons really pitted other departments to death! From the early morning, the entire school's management layer didn't sleep, and how many people were woken up in the middle of the night."

"I am a director department director, what does it have to do with me? The director department doesn't rely on papers to graduate. We film, we film graduation plays and short films for real!"

"Dog days, at this moment, the Art Department, Management College, Photography Department, Literature Department... several strong secondary departments are all cursing, it is purely an undeserved disaster..."

The phone was on speakerphone, and Old Jiang's cursing resounded throughout the "Mulan" crew.

He was like eating two catties of aphrodisiac, and his cursing was full of energy and not weak at all.

But it was also clear that he was really blown up, and he hated the people in the Performance Department to the point of itching his teeth.

"So, how is it being handled now?" Liu Yifei asked curiously.

"What else can be done? We have to enter the big conference hall in a while. We must come up with a charter for this performance department matter. This matter cannot be covered up."

"From early morning, the number of report calls and emails received by the principal's office was enough to scare people to death; the competent department, and even the ministry, must be in this situation!"

Seeing that Liu Yifei was asking, Old Jiang's tone was barely suppressed, but he really couldn't answer calmly.

"Anyway, it's the Performance Department's business, it has nothing to do with us. Even if we have to check the graduation process of master's and doctoral students in other departments, we are not afraid. Our director department directly throws out short films and movies!"

"These departments of ours rely on technology to eat, unlike the Performance Department, where there are a lot of people fishing in troubled waters."

"It's just this undeserved disaster, it's really suffocating to carry the infamy. Netizens and the public don't care which department that Zhai belongs to, they just know he is from our school!"

"Deserved. The school's official website file can still see the 'List of Students Who Won the Excellent Doctoral Graduate Academic Scholarship for the 16-17 Academic Year', and the first place is him."

"Director Jiang, doesn't it feel ironic to think about it now? This kind of person is actually someone who received a scholarship from the Acting School, and damn it, they were even ranked first!" Lin Nan said in a mocking tone, laughing at him.

"That's right, my brother didn't win a scholarship. What was the reason at the beginning?" Watching Shu Chang took the conversation and asked Liu Yifei.

"It said that Lin Nan cannot be treated as an ordinary student. Compared to him, other ordinary students are more in need of that money." Liu recalled with a smile.

"Hmm, Director Tian made the decision, didn't give me a scholarship." Lin Nan also smiled speechlessly.

At this moment, Old Jiang had no heart to pay attention to the topic of Lin Nan not winning a scholarship in their mouths. His focus was entirely on the school's official website file:

"What? Still there?! Damn... forget it, forget it, I'm too lazy to remind them. I guess someone will react and delete it."

"Hope so." Lin Nan was happy.

"But I have to remind you, you are all the most representative outstanding alumni from the school, and you will definitely be harassed by the media. Remember to stay away, so as not to be disgusted."

"Especially Lin Nan, you are still a professor at the school and have the qualification to bring ordinary graduate students. Try not to accept interviews... It's not that I'm afraid you will be disgusted, but I'm afraid you will 'speak without restraint' and directly step on the Performance Department to death, not giving them a way to live."

"Don't rush to deny, I know your personality. Anyway, you two have been in the Performance Department... This matter, the school will not favor anyone, so you don't need to add chaos to chaos. Other representative outstanding alumni will also be notified one by one..."

Fine, at this moment, Lin Nan, Liu Yifei, and Guo Fan finally understood why Old Jiang took the initiative to call. It was mainly because he was afraid that Lin would add fuel to the fire, so he came to get a vaccination.

After all, everyone in the industry knows what style Lin Dao is, and the media circle knows it even better!

If asked by media reporters about their views on this matter, Lin Dao would probably not avoid it.

Then how would he answer? Undoubtedly, he would definitely speak directly and mockingly. As for who to mock? Those who understand will understand, and there will definitely be the Performance Department.

"Teacher Jiang, we are rushing to film, we don't have time for interviews." Liu Yifei spoke first, also providing the answer on Lin Nan's behalf.

"Yes, the script will be wrapped up in the next half month, it's impossible to let the media disturb us," Guo Fan also added, he is also from the school after all.

Watching Shu Chang opened her mouth, but finally didn't dare to say the sentence "I am not from the Film Academy".

Looking at this battle, Lin Nan knew that there was no need for him to speak again, just watch the fun.

It is indeed difficult for them in other departments to express any opinions on this kind of thing, because no matter how you say it, you will feel like you are not a person inside or outside: shielding the school? Or stabbing the school in the back?

Then who can barely express opinions? Either outsiders, such as countless netizens and ordinary people, because they have the qualification and power to supervise; or people from the Performance Department themselves, because it is closely related to them.

After a while, Old Jiang, who got an affirmative answer, hung up the phone with satisfaction. Only Lin Nan and a few others were left complaining in place.

"It's really funny. Yesterday afternoon, he posted the postdoctoral admission notice of Guanghua College, and in the evening, the live broadcast exploded. When someone asked if his doctoral thesis could be checked on CNKI, he subconsciously asked what is CNKI? Just looking at his confused look when he asked, even a fool can see that he really doesn't know CNKI!"

"Director Guo, don't say that. The studio people probably gave an emergency reminder later, so he posted a Weibo in the second half of the night, saying that his sentence 'what is CNKI' was a joke. It's just that no one believes it, hahaha..." Watching Shu Chang was almost laughing to death.

"Speaking of which, is that top university next door also involved in this matter?" Liu Yifei's weak question made several people pause instantly.

"It seems, it really is." Guo Fan nodded, then couldn't help but laugh again, "I thought of another very funny thing, this Zhai has a very strong relationship with that Wu a few days ago."

"Many TV resources were brought by Wu to Zhai, which is the relationship between big brother and little brother. This is too interesting. In less than a month, the brothers fell one after another, haha."

"Eh?" Hearing this, Liu Yifei was stunned.

"Good guy, they really have fate!" Lin Nan opened his mouth and exclaimed in surprise.

Using the phrase "roasting on the fire" to describe the Film Academy today is not an exaggeration at all.

Because the film and entertainment industry is an industry under the spotlight, and the university that had the incident this time happens to be one of the cradles where countless actors and stars in this industry under the spotlight were born!

Consequently, the entire film and entertainment industry has achieved a very tacit "three-mouthed" approach to this matter.

Because the situation has completely fermented to the point where ordinary people in the circle cannot intervene, everyone can only pretend to be dead.

Because once you open your mouth, either you offend the academy, or you offend the public; even if you talk about other things when accepting an interview, you will offend the media.

"Such a garbage movie, actually dare to shout this kind of slogan! What are they thinking?"

Yue Jun, who returned to the company, complained to Jiang Xuerou about the premiere of "Shanghai Fortress" with naked contempt in his tone.

As a movie controlled by China Film Group, and they specially sent an invitation to the premiere to Lin Nan Film Industry, so Yue Jun and Jiang Xuerou really couldn't help but give face, who told their boss not to be there.

But the two of them really didn't expect that a movie of that quality would dare to shout such a shameless propaganda slogan!

"What are they thinking? Probably want to fool the audience into the cinema first? Now this trend in the industry is getting bigger and bigger, anyway, it is to pull the gimmick full, and fool people in first. But if this continues, I guess the entire industry will be backlashed!"

"The audience doesn't enter the cinema in the early stage of the movie release, look at the subsequent movie evaluation, and then decide whether to buy tickets?" Yue Jun reacted instantly.

"If you are fooled too many times, won't it develop like this." Jiang Xuerou nodded, then changed the subject:

"Let's focus on the premiere of 'The Wandering Earth' tomorrow. Aerospace Science and Technology Group, Shanghai Film Group, Xi Film Group, Enlight Media, and Wanda, 5 producers have all prepared."

"Also, the Golden Hall of the Great Hall of the People will be re-arranged from 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Are you going to watch it, or am I?"

"I'll go. The scale of tomorrow's premiere is much, much larger than today's 'Shanghai Fortress' from China Film Group, and many leaders will come." Yue Jun nodded and said.

"When 'The Martian' premiere was held, many leaders came, including leaders of the Aerospace Bureau." Yue Jun nodded and said.

"Chairman Wang and the others seem to have persuaded Lin Dao." Suddenly, Yue Jun added.

"Box office matter?"

"Hmm, it's the box office matter, and the subsequent operation and promotion plan."

Bad Monkey, with the mentality of not being related to oneself, Director Ning only immersed himself in the box office results of "Crazy Alien".

"We have a 50% share, plus various advertising revenues, and the copyright scattered later... In the end, getting 7.5 should be no big problem."

"Forget about the celebration banquet, be low-key." Ning Hao had an unstoppable smile on his face, taking over the conversation from Xing Aina.

The latter naturally understood the subtext of this sentence, and nodded:

"Including the two of us, those well-known peers with graduate degrees in the circle, their Weibo is lively, not like a look;"

"Especially peers with actor status who graduated from art colleges are the focus of 'suspicion'."

"Because only the graduate degrees of this group of people look the most watery."

"Look at our Weibo, why didn't anyone question our graduation thesis, all asking about the views on the Performance Department graduate students and that Zhai guy?"

"Because in our graduation process, the thesis is just the most insignificant link, mainly looking at graduation works."

"My photography works, your graduation script works, these can all be checked on the school's official website."

"Lin Nan doesn't need to say, two graduation plays, one is 'Space Cruise', one is 'Hunting'!"

"Only that group of actors only needs to submit a graduation thesis when they graduate. Their water is not enough, whose water is enough?"

Ning Hao's expression was serious and his tone was disdainful. That's right, Xing Aina and he also received notifications from the school today, respectively from the Literature Department and the Photography Department.

"A whole morning has passed, and I don't know if the school has discussed a charter. This is almost New Year's Eve." Xing Aina changed the subject.

"Early, too many units are involved, I guess it will be after the Spring Festival at the earliest?

If nothing goes wrong, there should be an announcement immediately after the Spring Festival holiday! After all, this is the first time in the country, and the movement is so big!"

Ning Hao guessed muttering. As soon as his voice fell, the mobile phone on the desk buzzed.

"Dong Ping?" Ning Hao answered the phone.

In Xing Aina's vision, she only saw Ning Hao's face turn black instantly, then responded a few times, and hung up the phone.

"What's wrong?"

"Chen is indeed too greedy. Dong Ping hesitated for a long time, and finally decided to talk to him, thinking that the production cost of 'Leap' is too high, too fake, and it will be difficult to explain in the financial report at that time. But he refused to lower the budget, and clearly said that he just wanted to eat inside..."

"Awesome, I can only sigh that he is worthy of being a big director in the Hong Kong circle. Worthy of being a big director who can quote 6,000 USD for a straw hat and give a reasonable explanation!" Xing Aina couldn't help laughing for a while.

Hearing this, Ning Hao's face turned even darker, "A straw hat made in America, postage, value-preservation fees are not low, and the crew even specially bought a safe for a straw hat, and hired people to watch it twenty-four hours a day when the crew is not filming..."

"500 million, this is treating Huanxi as the original StarMe. I am a founding shareholder, 500 million cost, which means a considerable part of it is our money!"

"Then why don't you go and oppose it?"

One sentence directly extinguished the big director Ning.

"Just now, the money has been hit into the project account of 'Leap', how can I oppose it?"

After a long silence, Ning Hao muttered, and then interrupted Xing Aina who wanted to continue to mock him:

"On the morning of the 8th, Dong Ping is going to fly to Berlin with the 'One Second' crew, and Xu Zheng is filming in the 'Lost in Russia' crew;"

"So before Dong Ping comes back after the year, I have to sit in the group, probably around the 20th."

"I just don't know what kind of flowers this 'One Second' can bloom and what kind of fruit it can bear? And how much can the copyright be sold for?"

"Shouldn't it be bad? After all, it is Director Zhang returning to Berlin after 16 years."

On the morning of the 2nd, as soon as Lin Nan opened his eyes, fine, it was still this matter online.

Not only that, after a day and two nights of fermentation, the public opinion outside has become surging beyond measure, and has even caused a huge sensation in the entire university circle in the country.

I have to say, there are still many smart people in this society, and more smart university students.

Look, there are already many university students "worrying about danger", and the posts on Weibo and social platforms are full of worry and anxiety:

Seeing that graduation was only half a year away, and then this kind of vicious academic incident suddenly occurred, would the graduates of this year be affected? After all, this is the time when all the graduating students across the country are rushing to finish their graduation theses!

"Lin Dao, the conference room has been arranged. The time notified by Director Yue is 10 o'clock in the morning for a video call." The assistant ran to Lin Nan who was flipping through the news and reminded.

"What about Producer Liu?"

"Producer Liu is putting on makeup."

"Makeup? That's right, after being blown by the wind and sun in the crew for four months, the skin is a bit vicissitudes. After wrapping up and going back, I have to do a good beauty skin care, haha..." Lin Nan nodded uncontrollably.

"Tsk tsk tsk, I finally heard you say that Xixi is a yellow-faced woman. I will go to report it later, don't even think about buying me off without a movie!"

Watching Shu Chang's teasing voice suddenly sounded behind Lin Nan, which gave him a big jump.

"Did you record it?"

"No, didn't have time." Watching Shu Chang shook her head with a look of regret.

"Then why are you reporting? You are slandering, do you know?!"

Throwing down a "harsh word", the big director walked straight to the makeup room.

In order to cope with the premiere of "The Wandering Earth", he gave the crew a morning off.

It's 9 o'clock now, he has to organize the language and wording with Liu Yifei again; so that he will have something to say when he opens a video with the premiere site later, striving to be eloquent! ===== CHAPTER 1078 =====
