Chapter 1085

"This morning, Lin Dao Nan's hard sci-fi blockbuster 'The Wandering Earth' was approved for an extension; the film's public screening duration will be extended by one full month, ending officially on April 4th."

"As of last night, the total box office of 'The Wandering Earth' has reached 4.328 billion; the daily box office fell sharply below 200 million yesterday, reporting 168 million yuan."

"Jackie Chan's period action fantasy film 'The Knight of Shadows: Between Yin and Yang' unfortunately ended its run, with the film's total box office finally settling at 93.38 million, failing to break 100 million."

"Zhou Xingchi's film work 'The New King of Comedy' daily intake fell to 2.5 million; according to predictions by many cinema managers in the industry, the total box office is feared to stop at around 300 million;

Given that its production cost is as high as 120 million, but the promotion and distribution business is handled by China Film itself, the film can barely recover its costs, but there is no hope for profit...

In addition, Director Zhou Xingchi's personal reputation and nostalgia golden body already show signs of being completely shattered because of 'The New King of Comedy'; the film is indeed an extremely shoddy and perfunctory work."

"It is reported that the total box office of 'Pegasus' has reached 1.301 billion, with a daily intake of 44.16 million, making it the only commercial film to achieve success under the pressure of 'The Wandering Earth' during the Spring Festival slot.

Han Han accepted a media interview and expressed surprise and satisfaction with this box office result; and jokingly said that facing the films of many big directors, he originally thought he would be left with no bones in the Spring Festival slot..."

When Lin Nan was flipping through film information at home, he received a message from Yue Jun.

The latter had just arrived at the company, and just as Zhao Jinmai entered the elevator and hadn't had time to rush to the audition site, he sent her out of the company with that "bad news."

The little girl was all smiles when she arrived, but less than three minutes later, when she left, her face had completely turned into a bitter melon face that she was forcing herself to maintain.

Thinking of that scene, Lin Nan couldn't help but want to laugh; the live scene must have been very interesting.

But the problem also came; the little girl's bitter melon face was photographed by paparazzi outside the company. Immediately after, look, there was already a report of entertainment news on the internet:

"Arrived at Lin Nan Film Industry on the front foot, and was swept out the door with a bitter face on the back foot... Could it be that she suffered some grievance?"

"Or, was she passed over before even auditioning?"

"Nani? Did 'The Wandering Earth's' performance not add anything at all? Xiao Yang as a director, is he not giving Lin Dao any face?"

"Uh... could it be that Zhang Zifeng got it? After all, there are only the two of them in the same age group, both are 'old faces' of Lin Nan Film Industry."

"Just soaring to the sky relying on 'The Wandering Earth,' and then turned around and got her home stolen?"

"Good heavens, did you notice? Whether it's Xiao Yang + Zhang Zifeng, or Xiao Yang + Zhao Jinmai, they seem to be the 'Detective Chinatown' team!"

"So, is this movie definitely a reality-themed suspense crime film, and not

a comedy film? I think it could totally be a comedy..."

Lin Nan specifically searched for the audition news related to "Sheep Without a Shepherd," and then almost died laughing in the living room.

The netizens on the internet not only started casting guesses, but even compared Lin Nan Film Industry to a "sea king"; it's truly speechless; Lin Nan Film Industry has clearly always been nostalgic.

What? Those nostalgic actors are just fish in the fish pond? They won't get exclusive favor...

"What are you laughing at? I could vaguely hear it even in the bathroom."

Liu Yifei, in a thin home sweater and slim jeans, poked her head out from the second-floor railing, looking curiously at Lin Nan in the first-floor living room.

"Nothing, I was just amused by a group of joke-makers on the internet; they are all drama queens."

"Oh, I see, then you should prepare, change your clothes, and accompany me out for a stroll later. I've been holed up in the crew for almost half a year, I need to get some air!"

Liu Yifei nodded first, then suddenly her eyes flickered, she looked at Lin Nan with a playful smile, and gave instructions.

Fine, so she wasn't curious about what Lin Dao was laughing at, but was just missing someone to accompany her and carry her bags.

"Okay, no problem. By the way, aren't you putting on makeup?"

"Hehe, I'm going bare-faced!"

"Sheep Without a Shepherd" is auditioning, and "Under the Light" is also casting.

However, compared to the former, the latter is clearly more sought after by the film and television circle; just because the former is directed by Xiao Yang, while the latter is Zhang Yimou!

"Dong Ping is a bit excessive." Li Xiaoping reported to Wang Changtian.

"It doesn't matter; the ones who sign contracts with actors and pay salaries in the end are us. We are walking the main road, Dong Ping is taking the side path, it doesn't conflict; just consider it giving him face."

Regarding the fact that Huanxi is recommending actors to the "Under the Light" crew and Zhang Yimou, Wang Changtian seemed completely indifferent. Business is about give and take.

Huanxi has so many big directors, their film promotion and distribution... he can't do it perfectly; Enlight is eyeing this piece, and has had ideas about it for a long time.

"We should have set the audition location on our side, not at Zhang Yimou's studio. Of course, the most regrettable thing is that our artists couldn't be squeezed into the crew."

Hearing Li Xiaoping's last sentence, Wang Changtian couldn't help but sigh: "Let's go, let's go see the audition situation and see what kind of actors there are. As the producer, we also have to show our faces, don't we."

"Speaking of the audition site, the lineup is very gorgeous. Zhang Guoli has already been decided as the male lead villain, Chen Daoming is making a guest appearance... I heard Director Zhang originally favored Chen Daoming, but..."

On the other side, Lei Jiayin is a bit panicked right now.

He came back specifically from the "Assassination Novelist" crew to audition; this male lead

role looks suitable for him no matter how you look at it, but he just doesn't know if he can get his wish.

This is also his first time auditioning for a Zhang Yimou play; he was truly a bit nervous during the performance just now. Um, it's unavoidable.

"How should I put it, anyway, I scanned the audition registration form, it's all sorts of things, there are people from all camps, and there are quite a few powerful actors."

"Especially just now, I also saw a good show. Two 'Mou Girls' competing for one role, it's simply wonderful!"

"Ni Ni and Zhou Dongyu?" In the phone, Lu Yang's inquiry came.

"Yes, it's the two of them; they both have an aura of being determined to win for this 'Under the Light'." Lei Jiayin glanced around and walked to a quieter corridor.

"Oh, then Ni Ni is miserable; the role is likely not meant for her."

"Director Lu, aren't you being a bit too arbitrary? The audition just ended, and Ni Ni hasn't even left Director Zhang's studio yet."

"Big Head, it's not that I'm arbitrary, but that your brain hasn't turned the corner."

"If this were in the past, the two of them as 'Mou Girls' would naturally be in a fair competition situation of fifty-fifty, but now... Director Zhang's mentality has long been different from before."

"Choosing actors, in his eyes, is no longer just choosing actors; he has also started to look at backgrounds and weigh interest relationships."

"I'll ask you, what is Ni Ni's background now? Can she compare to the connections and resources behind Zhou Dongyu? Think about this question carefully."

"Also, come back immediately after the audition; you must wrap up 'Assassination Novelist' within half a month, your scenes are so heavy..."

On the other side of the phone, whatever Lu Yang was saying, Lei Jiayin had already let it go in one ear and out the other; only one thought flashed in his mind: then he is stable!

"Understood, I'll fly back this afternoon. But it's truly a pity, I think Ni Ni is stronger."

"Being strong is useless; the background must be stronger than the opponent's!"

Good news came from abroad; Wang Jingchun and Yong Mei won the Silver Bear for Best Actor and Silver Bear for Best Actress respectively.

The Silver Bear Best Actor and Silver Bear Best Actress of this Berlin International Film Festival both came from the mainland film "So Long, My Son," while all other Chinese-language films came away empty-handed.

It must be admitted that this is the first time Chinese-language films have swept the Best Actor and Best Actress awards at the three major film festivals, and they came from the same film, which truly created a new record in the history of Chinese-language films!

At the same time, a small number of industry insiders couldn't help but sigh for Zhang Yimou's "One Second."

If the unexpected incident of "medium transmission problems and related technical reasons" hadn't happened, would there be a different result now?

For example, could the Chinese-language film team likely have achieved more dazzling results in the main competition unit of the Berlin International Film Festival?

Of

course, reality always doesn't have so many "ifs." But the fact that Huanxi Film Industry is very aggrieved is something the industry dares to confirm!

When the two days of the 16th and 17th passed, the general public on the internet did not wait for the Film Academy's notification.

And for the whole day of the 18th, Lin Nan and Liu Yifei also continued to stay on the hot search, because the two of them went crazy outside for another day.

First, they went to play go-karts for a morning, then turned around and ate a steaming hot pot; the whole day was spent eating, drinking, and shopping like this... body and mind were refreshed.

At this point, three days had passed since Yanyuan issued the notification, but the Film Academy still had no movement.

And by this time, many netizens on the internet realized a problem: if there has been no movement, does it mean the problem might be very big, very big?!

Consequently, while there was heated discussion on the internet, and people started to condemn the academy with even more indignation...

On the morning of the 19th, regarding someone's matter, the Film Academy's final investigation results and handling notification were finally scolded out:

"Confirmed by the investigation team... academic misconduct is true... it is now decided to officially revoke their doctoral degree and cancel their mentor's doctoral supervisor qualification..."

As the saying goes: the shorter the text, the bigger the matter, and the deeper the pool!

This sentence is appropriate anywhere, including this matter before us.

Look, the public opinion on the internet seemed to be manipulated by an invisible hand in an instant, and the entire internet was clapping and cheering, aiming at a certain doctor.

As for this doctor's mentor? It seems no one asked. But those who know, know; this is the big head.

And sure enough, as expected, regarding this person, there was no public introduction at all in the notification...

"I'll tell you this: everyone was arguing all morning. Especially those who eat by their own ability, they have the biggest opinions, because everyone's reputation was completely implicated by the Performance Academy!"

"Is it really just removing a mentor qualification? Is it over?" Lin Nan looked at Old Jiang on the other side of the video call and questioned him very directly.

The teaching staff of each department is very large; although Lin Nan is in the director department, he is only familiar with a very small part of the professors and faculty.

These people are basically distributed in several powerful secondary colleges such as the director department, literature department, art department, and photography department.

As for those in the Performance Academy, the ones he knows and recognizes are truly minimal;

he is only familiar with two from the former 02 class, one is Old Zhou, and one is Wang Jinsong. As for others, he doesn't deal with them at all; at most, he just nods when they meet.

"There are several management positions, and he was even the class monitor of the previous session of the Performance Academy! But you know, these identities cannot be announced to the public, otherwise the impact would be too great, so only the smallest one was announced, to downplay it...

Of course, his age is almost up, this internal handling will directly let him get out early..."

Fine, good heavens! At this moment, Liu Yifei was also startled.

"Understood, if this gets out, it would truly be a public joke and scandal. But I guess he won't quit the industry; he should go to the association to continue muddling along, right?" Lin Nan mocked bluntly.

Old Jiang was silent, because according to human relationships, the other party indeed has this retreat path.

After a long silence, Old Jiang spoke again, this time even more mysteriously:

"The results were found on the 13th; the reason it was dragged until today, and even announced 4 days later than Peking University, is actually not just because of what was announced."

"Then what else is there?" Liu Yifei asked curiously, and Lin Nan also became interested.

"The people involved also include the current... after all, he is the nominal manager over there; anyway, the sign outside his office was already taken down this morning.

Don't look at me with those eyes; it wasn't just because of this matter that the sign was taken down... I can only say that this matter is an opening..."

"Tell me in detail, I'd like to hear how chaotic it is over there." At this moment, Lin Nan even crossed his legs.

"First is private morality; he abandoned his wife and married a female student from the 10th class."

"10th class? Is that the session of Zhang Yishan and Yang Zi?" Lin Nan reacted instantly.

"Yes, more than twenty years apart.

Besides that, there is abuse of... he let the Youth Film Studio fully invest in a movie, starring himself and his female student wife, and also found Zhang Yishan and Yang Zi to be supporting actors..."

"Good heavens, playing so recklessly?" Lin Nan was so angry he laughed. "Um? No? What movie, why haven't I heard of it?"

"The kind with a first-day box office of only 260,000, how could you have heard of it? If you want to know, go search for it yourself; I remember the name is something... oh right, it's called 'A Paper Marriage Contract.' It was released in June last year and had a one-day tour in the film market."

"Heh, this kind should be sent in." Lin Nan cursed.

"Currently, how to handle this person specifically should still be under discussion; anyway, it's absolutely impossible to end well.

You know, the Youth Film Studio is an industry 100% owned by the school, and it was already poor; his behavior can be considered as damaging everyone's interests..."

A video call lasted for nearly two hours, and Lin Nan and Liu Yifei could be considered to have learned a large amount of internal news that was not announced to the public.

Sure enough, as the old saying goes, what surfaces is always just the tip of the iceberg.

As for Old Jiang's "absolutely impossible to end well," Lin Nan absolutely didn't believe it.

After all, he is the current class monitor of the academy over there; behind him must be a large area of deeper relationships and connections, and the final result is likely internal

review, high-handed and light-handed handling... because it really can't be hammered to death!

Private morality? That's a private matter! Causing huge losses to the studio? The film industry is inherently high-risk!

After hanging up the phone, the more Lin Nan thought about it, the more he felt uncomfortable. He then, under Liu Yifei's amused gaze, called Ning Hao.

Upon hearing these disgusting things, sure enough, as expected, Director Ning did indeed start cursing.

And it must be said, the parts of his cursing also reminded Lin Nan; it makes a lot of sense!

"If this bunch of dogs comes to ask us for donations again, just tell them to get lost. My money didn't come from a strong wind, raising this group of parasites...

And every time they mention 'distinguished alumni'? Is this a distinguished alumnus? This is just a pretext to covet your money, a banner to ask you for donations..."

Three days flashed by, and all the derivative questions about "what is CNKI" finally ended on the internet with the ending of someone being forced to quit the circle, completely drawing a period.

At the same time, the heat of this matter also avalanched day by day as expected, until the morning of the 22nd, when it had already dropped to a point where it was almost invisible on the internet.

Of course, this also has to thank other miscellaneous entertainment news and hot searches for helping to provide support and diversion.

Among them, the high-profile scheduling of several films was the most conspicuous.

For example, Wang Xiaoshuai's "So Long, My Son," which just won the Berlin Best Actor and Best Actress awards, was high-profile scheduled for March 22nd;

Lou Ye's "The Shadow Play," which came away empty-handed, went to April 4th. It must be admitted that this is a good day, with two "deaths."

Of course, the situation where there was no news about "One Second" for a long time was also reflected by many netizens and fans; it should be that it didn't pass the review!

On the third floor of Lin Nan Film Industry, there were indeed quite a few actors auditioning.

After all, no matter how much Xiao Yang can't compare to Zhang Yimou, the signboard of Lin Nan Film Industry won't lie. If you can't trust the director, can't you trust Lin Nan Film Industry as the producer? Are you kidding!

"The most important lead roles to choose right now are these three: the male lead's wife and the villain couple." Inside the large conference room for auditions, Xiao Yang said to Jiang Xuerou.

The latter flipped through the information of today's audition personnel and nodded: "There shouldn't be any big problems today; at least there will be a few intended candidates.

Look, the next one is Tan Zhuo; her appearance and temperament are naturally suited for reality themes, and her acting skills are also good. She can be considered an acquaintance of the company, having participated in 'She Killed'..."

"Then let's audition first. The main thing is that the villain couple is hard to pick; they must be able to hold the role, and most importantly, they must have an aura or be able to perform an aura, and the age requirement is strict..."

Before long, Tan Zhuo came in; her smile was

friendly and quite confident.

At the same time, on the Film Bureau side.

The leader looked at the application in front of him with surprise and joked with a smile: "Their ambition is not small, is it?"

"According to regulations, the approval and issuance of cinema chain licenses must be strict, so the process is also very long and complicated.

But Lin Nan Film Industry is, after all, the industry leader, the bellwether; we don't know whether to..."

"No need to open a green light, just follow the prescribed process. However, it can be seen that they are determined to enter the cinema chain business.

They sold Crystal Pictures on the front foot, and prepared to do a cinema chain on the back foot... um, not bad, standing straighter and sitting straighter than many people. The name 'Shanhai Cinema Line' is also quite grand."

"Then we will follow the process. You don't know, it's been a long time since an industry company came to apply for a cinema chain license.

Because most individuals or companies opening cinemas in recent years are small-scale, almost all choose to join an existing cinema chain brand, relying on a big tree to enjoy the shade, haha..."

"Understood. After all, the anti-risk ability of joining and affiliating is much, much stronger, and they can also enjoy the traffic support brought by existing cinema chain brands.

And applying for a cinema chain license to build a cinema chain yourself is equivalent to starting a business; not only is the risk frighteningly high, but it also requires a lot of capital to open up the market;

especially at this time, it's no longer ten years ago; the cost of entering the cinema chain business now will only be greater..."

"Leader, I have to add one thing. Lin Nan Film Industry doing a cinema chain is not simply adding a business, but a strategic need for the company's development;

the industries they are involved in in the film and entertainment industry are already spread across the upstream and downstream, and now they are only missing this piece of the puzzle to close the loop!"

"Um? So fast?"

"Yes, after they bought shares in Maoyan last year, they already completed the film distribution module."

"If it's a closed loop, let it be a closed loop; they can toss however they want in the country; even if it's a monopoly, as long as they don't abuse their position..." The leader smiled with interest, with words behind his words.

"Then let's go with Tan Zhuo?" Xiao Yang looked at Jiang Xuerou.

"Okay, I also think it's possible."

"Then this female lead villain?"

"What do you think of that newly promoted Berlin Best Actress? She's a powerful actor, so playing a villain shouldn't be a problem, and the age group is just right.

It seems that the more upright the actor's image, the more energetic they are when playing a villain?"

"Ah? There is such a saying, but... how about we put it aside first, and let's pick some more?"

"Then let's put it aside first. Speaking of this role, Lin Dao was originally particularly keen on Teacher Gong Li to play it;

don't have that kind of excited look, you're purely happy too early. Teacher Gong Li

had a scheduling conflict and declined the invitation from Lin Dao and Producer Liu, hahaha..."
