Chapter 151

Lin Nan saw the makeup photos released by "Empresses in the Palace" on the internet.

Yue Jun had asked about the copyright before, but unfortunately, he was a step late.

The actors were still those actors, Sun Li, Chen Jianbin, Ada Choi, Jiang Xin...

The couple Zheng Xiaolong and his wife personally operated it, and it was unanimously favored by the TV drama circle.

Lin Nan saw Jiang Xin's photo.

Sigh, they had eaten together before.

A girl with delicate features, now looking at her, why is she so much more robust?

Even Liu Yifei was a bit dumbfounded when she saw the photo.

……

Sometimes character is something that can only be seen when something happens.

It's fine that "Legend of the Fist" was hung and beaten by "Detective Dee", the key is that it was also pressed and hammered by the art-house film "Under the Hawthorn Tree".

From the third day, its daily box office was basically locked below 7 million, and there was no hope of a comeback.

By now, Donnie Yen, who was friendly during promotion, suddenly changed his face.

When attending endorsement activities, he bluntly said that the bad movie was not his fault, it was the team's responsibility...

In order to maintain his status and image after "Ip Man", this "Master Ip" has already lost a bit of face.

This kind of person cannot be deeply associated with.

The premiere of "Thieves" is getting closer, and the film market looks like it's in a state of panic.

At this time, Zhang Yimou came out to add fire.

"The movie 'The Flowers of War' will start filming at the end of the year."

"'The Flowers of War' has currently selected six people..."

"Will build sets on 150 acres of land in Jin Ling..."

"Although it hasn't been filmed yet, we have already set the release time, which is December 16th next year!"

……

The news of this movie first came out when the Olympics just ended.

In the end, they didn't wait for "The Flowers of War", but waited for "A Simple Noodle Story", which disgusted all the audience.

Now two years have passed, and there is finally a definite word.

Zhang Yimou's historical drama film is destined to be another movie watched by countless actors in the circle.

Most importantly, there are really many female roles in this movie!

For a time, countless actresses looked over.

In Lin Nan's view, in a movie with such large room for operation, Zhang Weiping will definitely not be able to help stretching his claws.

Especially in terms of actor casting, or interfering with plot filming.

Lin Nan remembers that the last "A Simple Noodle Story" incident had already given Zhang Yimou some thoughts.

If Zhang Weiping doesn't learn his lesson this time, the result will definitely be a falling out...

Liu didn't shout about going to audition this time because she had already set the next movie to be filmed with Lin Nan.

Time came to the 24th.

After "Under the Hawthorn Tree" got 45 million in five days, another five days later, the total box office rushed to 88 million.

Looking at this strong momentum, it will break 100 million soon, and it will definitely break the record of "Forever Enthralled".

The last few days of September.

In the film market, "Detective Dee" is the only one, followed by "Under the Hawthorn Tree", and "Legend of the Fist" has already sunk into the sea.

"Lin Nan, remember the premiere, you director shouldn't forget."

Han Sanping called specifically to remind him once; this time the location was chosen at the CPPCC Auditorium.

Generally, only big movies or big directors will choose these few places; if it flops, it becomes a joke.

"Don't worry, how could I forget the premiere of my own movie."

Lin Nan admired Han Sanping; he actually had this kind of worry.

"Reign of Assassins" is really miserable.

It seems that there is no environment for pure martial arts films to survive in the country.

This movie with an investment of 14 million USD, nearly 100 million, only had 5.5 million box office on the first day.

How can this still be played?

Lin Nan heard that it was released overseas two days earlier, and the box office was also rotten to the extreme. John Woo became cannon fodder this time.

Now, of all the movies in September, only one "Thieves" is left.

All media cast their eyes over.

…………

Morning of the 29th.

Lin Nan sat in the garden cracking melon seeds unhurriedly.

The driver was waiting on the side.

"Do you want to sit over and eat something?

Yifei probably still needs half an hour to an hour."

"Thanks Lin Dao, I don't need to."

The driver smiled and declined. Being polite is polite, but one must have a sense of proportion.

A long time later, Liu Yifei's female assistant came out first, followed by Liu Xiaoli and Liu Yifei.

Today Liu was wearing a light blue gauze dress, and her high heels were a bit high.

On her smooth neck, there was only a simple platinum necklace, and a bracelet on her right wrist, a proper lady of a big family.

Looking at Liu Xiaoli again, she was wearing the glass-type jade necklace that Lin Nan gave her before, looking very expensive.

Today, the mother and daughter will go to the premiere scene together.

"Let's go."

…………

The cast of "Thieves" can be described as very powerful.

Led by Andy Lau, Liang Jiahui, and Zhang Hanyu, the ten-person lead team made the media extremely excited.

"Tell me, the director actually isn't with the actors, is this appropriate?"

Zhang Yi joked with a smile.

"You can pass these words to Lin Dao or Yifei later." Luo Jin laughed.

"Joke, just a joke, don't take it seriously."

"Lin Dao should be with Yifei, right?" Fan Bingbing's eyeballs turned, and she had already guessed.

Fan Bingbing thinks her luck this year is really good; although she has several plays, only two are what she values most.

One is Chen Kaige's "Sacrifice", and the other is Lin Nan's "Thieves".

Participating in the movies of a Golden Palm director and a Golden Lion director at the same time, she is the only one in the circle.

Not to mention Lin Nan's commercial films, the box office has always been very powerful...

"Let's go on the red carpet first, it seems we can't wait for Lin Dao for a while." Andy Lau suggested.

"Okay, then let's go first, lest there be no leads inside, which is not good."

Liang Jiahui nodded in agreement.

Ten people walked on the red carpet; this scene can be described as spectacular.

Among them, Fan Bingbing was in a red dress, pressing Yan Danchen to death.

……

At this time, there were quite a few guests in the auditorium.

Zhang Yimou returned the favor and came to support, also bringing the newly signed Zhou Dongyu.

From time to time, people came to ask about "The Flowers of War".

Han Sanping is the absolute center, almost all the big names are surrounding him.

After Andy Lau and the others entered the venue, they also instantly integrated into the crowd.

…………

A car stopped outside, and Lin Nan stepped down.

Then he helped Liu Xiaoli get out of the car first, then Liu Yifei...

The reporters were excited; the main character had arrived.

"Lin Dao, wish you a big box office success.

Strike a pose with Yifei, give us some food to eat, haha..."

"Then you have to take it well."

"No problem."

"Absolutely no problem..."

Liu Xiaoli watched and laughed directly on the side; her silly daughter was doing the scissors hand again.

……

The premiere of "Thieves" was handled by Han Sanping, and the scale and grade of the guests were nothing to say.

The moment Lin Nan and Liu Yifei mother and daughter came in, they were noticed by most people.

"Xixi, you take Auntie to the seat first."

"Hmm, Mom, let's go over, in the first row."

……

Lin Nan walked toward the crowd, and the sound of greetings came one after another.

Looking over, they were all acquaintances, not one missing who had worked with him.

"Chairman Han, let's make a quick decision today, social events like cocktail parties can be put later..."

Han Sanping nodded; serious business is important.

"Then it will start in a while."

…………

Half an hour later, the venue became quiet.

Lin Nan and Andy Lau and the other ten people sat in a row on the stage.

In the first row below, Liu Yifei and Liu Xiaoli sat in the middle, with Han Sanping, Zhang Yimou, and others on the side.

After making eye contact with Liu Yifei, Lin Nan started serious business.

"Many media friends might wonder why 'Thieves' only started promotion half a month before release this time."

There was chattering below, and quite a few nodded in agreement.

"Actually, I don't think it's necessary to be so early.

Since I set the release date of 'Thieves' on September 30th.

Everyone can clearly see that many movies have avoided it, haha..."

After these words were spoken, many people laughed. Lin Nan was a bit unhumble today, but he was telling the truth.

…………

Some reporters were very bold.

"Interviewing Andy Lau, which movie do you think will have a higher box office, 'Detective Dee' or 'Thieves'?"

With so many people on the field, everyone thought Andy Lau would round it off, but didn't expect him to be very direct.

"To be honest, I favor 'Thieves'."

"It's not because today is the premiere of 'Thieves', right?"

"No. Lin Dao's commercial films are obvious to all, and I'm counting on him to wash away my bad reputation as box office poison, haha..."

Even Lin Nan admired Andy Lau's answer.

First self-defile, if the box office is good, it's Lin Nan's credit; if it's not good, he takes the blame.

This EQ is very high.

The reporter didn't stop, asking the leads one by one.

……

"I think our 'Thieves' can create a new box office record..." Fan Bingbing said with a smile.

……

The movie officially premiered.

At the beginning, it was Fan Bingbing and Kara Wai pretending to be mother and daughter, seducing.

Under the tight clothes, Fan Bingbing's perfect figure made the media and industry peers at the scene widen their eyes...

So eye-catching right from the start?

Lin Dao's movie is a bit different from the past!

……

Luo Jin was grabbed by the chest by a gay man...

Fan Bingbing and Luo Jin tongue-kissed...

……

Lin Nan admitted that this movie was indeed a bit different from his previous ones.

The two-hour movie ended quickly, and the audience was a bit unsatisfied.

The comedy effect was good, there were quite a few action scenes, there were quite a few high-difficulty special effects shots, and the IQ was online...

Many people felt that Lin Nan's movie might really be possible...

"Don't ask me what the box office expectation is, I won't answer this question today, let the audience and fans give the answer after release."

Lin Nan took the lead and set the tone.

A group of media were a bit confused; if they didn't ask this question, what should they ask? Everyone wanted to ask this the most.

"Lin Dao, then after 'Thieves', do you have any plans for your new movie?"

Lin Nan looked at Liu Yifei, who was beaming with a smile at this time.

Eye contact, Liu Yifei's eyes seemed to be saying: "Answer quickly!"

"Hmm, yes."

As soon as Lin Nan's words landed, everyone looked at him; good guy, a big fish was fried out.

This is the first time Lin Nan has had such high work efficiency!

In the first row, Han Sanping, Ye Ning, and others were all looking at Lin Nan, and even Andy Lau and the others on stage were very curious.

What movie? Does it conflict with their schedule?

"Lin Dao, can you talk about what movie it is?"

Some reporters asked impatiently; today is going to be a big harvest.

"Then let's take today's occasion to tell everyone."

The field became quiet in an instant.

"I'm going to make an art-house romance film next..."

This time the actors were more excited than the media.

A Golden Lion director's art-house film, they can do it without pay!

Then I saw Lin Nan continue: "It's still because of Director Zhang Yimou."

Zhang Yimou below instantly remembered "Under the Hawthorn Tree", with a smile on his face; this is the only reason.

"I have already finished the script for this movie, the name is 'The Fault in Our Stars'."

This name sounds very literary!

All the actors were excited.

…………

Let me say, "The Fault in Our Stars" is adapted from a novel, but according to the timeline in the book, the original novel hasn't been written yet.
