Chapter 173: The Four

Enlight Media.

Lin Nan didn't expect the efficiency to be so high.

He talked to Wang Changtian about the role, and it had only been two days, and he was called over.

"Chairman Wang, so fast?"

"When you called, we were already preparing for casting; the team preparation has been going on for more than half a month."

Lin Nan nodded, "Then when exactly will it start filming?"

He has to ask clearly; after all, Zhao Liying's contract with Huayi only expires at the end of April.

"March, April, at the latest by the end of April, all roles will be set, and it will officially start filming at the end of May."

"Later, Director Gordon Chan will bring people to your side to talk about special effects; Tiangong Color has to send a team to join the crew..."

Wang Changtian didn't say anything about discounts this time.

"No problem, I will order it down."

Hearing this, Lin Nan felt relieved. He picked up the script and flipped through it.

Suddenly, Wang Changtian said with a smile:

"Haha, if Yifei can come, brother, I am willing to offer a salary of 13 million and increase the investment to 100 million."

"You really know how to joke."

"I also know it's a joke, just saying it, haha..."

This time Enlight Media is quite generous, unlike the time of "Mural" where the investment was only 30 million; this time it is 90 million.

"I want the first female lead, is that okay?" Lin Nan asked unexpectedly.

Wang Changtian was stunned, and then nodded.

"Of course. My company doesn't have any actors that can be taken out.

Ada Liu, Xie Nan, they can't support it; giving it to others is better than giving it to you."

"Then thank you Chairman Wang. But about the first female lead, don't spread it out before the end of April."

Lin Nan's words made Wang Changtian a bit confused; Enlight Media is preparing to announce the film project in the next two days, and the casting hype will follow.

"Why is this?"

"The newcomer I signed, her contract with Huayi only expires at the end of April."

"What? Haha, you are really capable!

Okay, then wait until the end of April to give them eye drops..."

……

After talking about serious business, Lin Nan left Enlight Media.

To be honest, Zhao Liying is much more decisive than Yang Mi and Lei Jiayin, signing an 8-year contract directly without a trace of hesitation.

Lin Nan appreciates this decisiveness.

The first female lead of this film from Enlight Media is a meeting gift prepared by the company for her!

On the other side, Tang Ren held a high-profile wrap-up conference for "Scarlet Heart" in the capital.

With the example of "Palace" in front, this TV drama of Tang Ren naturally became a comparison, and there were many media present.

Yue Jun represented Lin Nan Film Industry and attended the conference.

When a reporter asked Cai Yinong what she thought after comparing the two TV dramas, the latter directly mocked:

"We prepared earlier than them, prepared longer, and filmed more finely. When it is broadcast, I believe the audience's eyes are discerning."

"Everyone will definitely not say that 'Scarlet Heart' is a stitched plagiarism work, and even the songs are copied from others' lyrics word for word. We are original!"

Yue Jun couldn't help laughing while sitting in the guest seat; Cai Yinong is clearly going to tear with the production side over there for this drama; the news after today should be very good to watch.

But she is also right; these days "Palace" has indeed been reported to have a series of problems, and "plagiarism" is the biggest criticism.

But it cannot be denied that others have indeed taken a step ahead and exploded! Even if it caused a lot of questioning.

"Director Yue, is Lin Dao busy today?"

Cai Yinong still regretted that Lin Nan didn't come.

Although there were many guests present, and all Tang Ren artists came, there were no big names, and it still looked very thin.

"Lin Dao has other things."

Yue Jun felt a bit disdainful of Cai Yinong's little thoughts.

Cai Yinong, who couldn't guess whether this was the truth or a perfunctory remark, stopped asking, but talked about the sharing.

"Director Yue can send someone over in these two days; the first-round broadcast rights have been sold to Mango, the price is quite good, and the second-round, third-round, and web broadcast channels are being negotiated..."

Yue Jun nodded; after this time, the cooperation between the two companies will be completely over.

…………

Female stars use all kinds of methods to step on each other.

Paris Fashion Week was only a few days ago, and the dresses of several domestic female stars are hot topics.

At this time, Zhang Ziyi tore with Fan Bingbing.

The former's team used a Weibo trumpet to mock the latter's dress at Fashion Week: enchanting bitch, neither fish nor fowl...

Then it focused on showing the scene photos of Zhang Ziyi, Teacher Gong Li, Liu Yifei, and others.

I thought it was done quietly, but who knew the trumpet was dug out by the media following the usual likes and interactions, and finally locked onto Zhang Ziyi's team.

The consequence was that Fan Bingbing's studio directly fought back against International Zhang: earthy, kicked back by foreigners, hated by people and dogs, stirring up trouble...

Two top female stars in the circle tore each other, which was much more lively.

"Why choose to open fire on Fan Bingbing?"

Some netizens are very curious.

Others quickly gave the answer.

"Teacher Gong Li's aura is too strong; isn't looking for her hitting her own face?"

"Looking for trouble with Liu Yifei? What are you thinking?"

"First, she is not as beautiful as Liu Yifei; second, does Lin Dao look like a vegetarian?"

……

Lin Nan is also a bit speechless about Zhang Ziyi's wave of operations.

Used to benchmark Teacher Gong Li, now starting to step on Fan Bingbing, really mixing back and forth!

"They took the initiative to ask me for contact information at that time; I was embarrassed to refuse. At that time, the two of them were still smiling and nodding to each other..."

Liu Yifei looked at the gossip on the Internet and said softly.

She has also experienced criticism and cyberbullying in the circle, and can understand the filth and stepping on each other among female stars in the industry.

"Don't worry about them, as long as they don't provoke you." Lin Nan expressed his position.

"Hmm, I know, I have you."

Liu Yifei smiled sweetly, very warm.

…………

When people are popular, there is a lot of right and wrong.

A "Buddha Mountain" made Fan Bingbing win the Tokyo Film Festival Best Actress,

In half a month, the box office of this film also settled at over 80 million, successfully ending the screening, massive profit!

This is also the reason why Zhang Ziyi chose Fan Bingbing as the target of stepping on.

Unfortunately, the horse stumbled...

"The Warring States" is only one month away from release.

The crew started large-scale promotion nationwide.

The film market in March was deserted, without any blockbusters.

But April is different, the 150 million investment "The Warring States", the 150 million "The Lost Bladesman"...

Tiangong Color's special effects have also become the focus of Starry Splendor's promotion!

The promotion of "The Lost Bladesman" has changed; the Hong Kong crew put Jiang Wen, who was originally a supporting role, in a position equal to Donnie Yen.

The reason is because of "Let the Bullets Fly," hoping to use the influence of this film.

Lin Nan refused Yang Shoucheng's invitation to the Hong Kong Film Awards before; looking at it now, it was a very correct decision.

Several nominated mainland actors, such as Deng Chao, Wang Xueqi, Zhang Jingchu, etc., all had no awards.

The most ridiculous thing is the Best Actor Award.

Nicholas Tse actually defeated Chow Yun-fat, Jacky Cheung, and Nick Cheung, and won the Best Actor trophy, simply ridiculous to the extreme!

When receiving the award, he also pretended to be cool once!

The mainland media couldn't help but mock.

"The Hong Kong film circle has completely declined, but these people are still sticking to their old ways and deceiving themselves..."

"This Best Actor has a bit too much water!"

……

Yang Shoucheng specifically called, because "Ip Man 2" also came back empty-handed.

"To be honest, Emperor Motion Pictures might as well take those films to film festivals like Golden Rooster, Hundred Flowers, Huading, Huabiao, etc. to try."

"How to say this?"

"Easier to win awards!"

This made Yang Shoucheng a bit hard to answer.

Lin Nan is telling the truth.

The film awards in Hong Kong have always excluded mainland actors and co-productions.

But the mainland film festivals are just the opposite; they like to award Hong Kong actors or co-productions.

This situation has long made many mainland filmmakers feel very unfair and very aggrieved...

…………

Enlight Media officially announced the new project to the outside world.

"Following 'Mural', the group will once again start a new film project, still directed by Director Gordon Chan..."

"The film 'The Four', with a budget of 90 million, special effects shots are handled by Tiangong Color..."

"Currently in casting..."

This news spread rapidly in the circle, the media, and on the Internet.

A costume martial arts film with a cost of nearly 100 million attracted the attention of a large number of actors.

The industry knows the situation of Enlight Media itself; there are not many signed actors, and they are all unknown.

For a time, Hong Kong actors, mainland brokerage companies, and artists all had ideas.

Hong Kong's looked for Gordon Chan's team, mainland's contacted Enlight Media...

…………

Yue Jun called Zhao Liying.

"In this period of time, ponder your acting skills. Not long after, the company will let you join the crew."

"Thank you Director Yue, I will be careful."

Too late to think too much, Zhao Liying said gratefully immediately.

"By the way, at the beginning of May, your assistant will be in place..."

"Thank you Director. Can I ask what crew it is?"

Zhao Liying then boldly opened her mouth.

Yue Jun hesitated for a moment, "Film crew, just know it yourself."

At this moment, Zhao Liying's brain crashed a bit, and it took a few seconds to react.

"I, I will definitely not say it out."

After Yue Jun hung up the phone, Zhao Liying still couldn't believe what she had just heard.

There is a film already?

She stayed at Huayi for 5 years, and could only receive some small roles in TV dramas.

"The Great Internal Master" was the only first female lead, and Zhou Yi lost money!

"Eight-year contract..."

At this moment, Zhao Liying knew that her eight-year contract was signed correctly! Really signed the right company!

…………

Stars with strength and ambition are all film and television investors, which is also walking on the road of capital.

Perhaps it was tempted by the profit of China Film Group's tribute film "The Founding of a Republic," Shanghai Film Studio united with Changchun Film Studio to make "1911."

The investors of the latter also include Jackie Chan and Li Bingbing Studio!

Not to mention that Jackie Chan is a big boss, this time Li Bingbing also successfully got on the line of Shanghai Film Studio, stepped into the ranks of investors, and I believe she will be able to completely enter the industry capital circle in a short time...

In Lin Nan's view, Li Bingbing's route is also the safest promotion route from star to capital!

Huang Xiaoming and others are also walking this road.

After a few more years, wanting to promote to capital will not be such an easy thing...

"The Warring States" started preparing for the premiere nearly a month in advance.

The guests invited by Starry Splendor involve half of the film and television circle, and they are all people with heads and faces.

Lin Nan, Liu Yifei, Guo Fan, Zhang Yi, and others are all on the invitation list.

…………

If it weren't for Yue Jun's reminder, Lin Nan wouldn't know that Director Wu Ershan's "The Butcher, the Chef and the Swordsman" had already been released.

"How is the box office?"

"6 million cost, excluding promotion expenses, just broke even, not making money." Yue Jun said with a smile.

"What do you mean? Ended screening?"

"4-day box office reported 12 million, total box office ended at more than 23 million."

Hearing this, Lin Nan knew that the film didn't finish the screening period.

"What about the evaluation?"

"The picture is very good, but the audience can't understand it."

Lin Nan nodded; now he remembered, Director Wu Ershan's film is a vanguard martial arts film.

What is vanguard?

Simply put, it is a minimalist, exaggerated, abstract, stylized film.

This kind of film is not for ordinary audiences at all; perhaps professionals in the industry are more suitable.

"This guy, actually didn't tell me?" Lin Nan shook his head.

"Maybe he felt it was unnecessary? After all, his film didn't have much response, haha..."

After Yue Jun finished speaking, he remembered something else.

"At first, I was afraid that this film would affect 'Painted Skin 2', but judging from the feedback on the Internet, it doesn't affect the audience's expectation of 'Painted Skin 2'."

"Most people are paying attention to and looking forward to 'Painted Skin 2' because of 'Painted Skin 1' and Lin Dao's name..."

"It's good that it doesn't affect."

…………

When Lin Nan returned to the villa, he saw Liu Yifei holding a computer, chatting in the class group.

Slender fingers were tapping on the keyboard, with a smile on her face.

"What are you chatting about, so happy?"

"Yanyan said in the group that she got the second female lead of 'The Four', and everyone is congratulating her."

"Is there anything funny about this? I see you laughing so happily." Lin Nan asked puzzled.

"She said that her company originally wanted to fight for the first female lead for her, but it was rejected by Enlight Media without even room for discussion."

"At this moment, everyone is joking, saying that it must have been designated by someone, and it might even be a coal boss who supports female actors."

Liu Yifei looked up at Lin Nan, laughing from ear to ear.

Lin Nan's expression froze instantly, feeling that he had been offended.

"The candidate for the first female lead was designated..."

"Ah? Did you really guess it right?"

Miss Liu looked at Lin Nan in shock; she knew Lin Nan had a good relationship with Enlight Media and shouldn't have lied to her.

"Is it really a coal boss?"

Lin Nan said angrily: "Do you think I look like a coal boss?"

Liu Yifei stood up with a swoosh, "Who did you ask for the role for?"

"Calm down, calm down, it's a new artist the company just signed, given to her!"

Good guy, Lin Nan was almost hammered, this murderous aura!

"Hmm? What newcomer?"

Miss Liu sat back down again. She asked with a smile and soft words, completely unable to see the fierceness just now.

This change in expression and demeanor, if used in usual acting, would definitely add a lot of points!

Lin Nan nodded, muttering in his heart.

"It's a person from Huayi, the contract expires at the end of next month, and signed an eight-year contract with Shanhai Media."

"Wait until next month, let her see you, the boss lady..."

……

There is only one chapter today, because helping the family harvest wheat took too much time.

By the way, I haven't actively asked for monthly tickets for more than two months, because I know that my update volume is not worthy of actively asking for tickets! ===== CHAPTER 174 =====
