Chapter 23

Watching Watching Lao Lin Tou's life is very good now. His son paid to expand the restaurant, and he found someone to renovate it again.

Found a few old masters to take the spoon, there are many waitresses, drink tea and listen to opera every day, and then check the accounts.

The monthly income is not low, and this shop is also famous far and near.

Lin Nan chatted with his father for a few words. It seems that the old man is ready to guard this shop until he can't move.

"You hurry up and find a girl, your uncle in the village, your uncle's family are all married."

Watching Watching Lao Lin Tou said a word when he had nothing to do, sometimes Zhu Yawen couldn't help laughing.

Stayed for two days, strolled around the ancient sites with Old Zhu, Lin Nan had to run away.

"Can't stand it, I suggested him to find a partner, he turned around and let me find a girlfriend, like this on the phone, like this when I came back, sigh..."

The two chose the train this time, "Arrived, try the lamb." Lin Nan mentioned it.

Lin Nan was also choosing the shooting location along the way. "Return to Dust" actually has low requirements for the shooting place, rural, with a river.

The two people really came out to travel, ate all the way, and didn't rush to the hotel after arriving at the place, and ate lamb for three days.

"Fortunately, I walk a lot every day, and my metabolism is fast, otherwise I'm afraid I won't grow a few pounds of meat after these days." Zhu Yawen said while walking.

The two have arrived at the hotel specially received by the film festival, and tomorrow is the opening ceremony.

Didn't say two words, and saw people from Huayi, "Cell Phone" crew.

"Big companies are stylish, and there are personal security." Lin Nan and Zhu Yawen sat on the sofa in the corner of the hotel lobby.

I saw several security personnel, surrounded by Huayi's Little General Wang Zong, and Director Feng came in, followed by Zhang Guoli, Teacher Ge You, and Fan Bingbing.

The reporters outside the hotel wanted to follow in, but were blocked by the security guards at the door.

"Lin Zi, it doesn't matter if you don't compare, why do I find that we are like two passersby, look at their style." Zhu Yawen is a bit sour.

"We are still students now, don't be fascinated by this crooked wind." Lin Nan is a bit stubborn.

Huayi is a standardized company model. Lin Nan's small company doesn't have any public relations department, image department, etc., it just serves himself, and these styles are definitely not prepared by anyone.

Shanghai Film and China Film also asked Lin Nan, that hiking trip was very high, and he refused.

Dinner, Zhou Yang and the others also joined in.

"There are many reporters outside."

"Sure, it's the biggest film festival in the country."

Although it is the biggest in the country, it is definitely not comparable to the Golden Horse last Spring Festival.

"I saw Zhao Yanzi, and Xia Yu." Zhou Yang said.

Lin Nan nodded. For the three people in front of him, they may really not reach the height of those two, one is popular without boundaries, one is a young international actor.

"Lin Dao, General Han Zong and the others invite you to go over."

Someone knocked on the door and came to find Lin Nan, "You go, we eat ours." Zhu Yawen took the small bowl Lin Nan had just filled with beef.

Almost all major film companies have come, Shanghai Film, China Film, Western Film...

Lin Nan entered a banquet hall, good guy, there were only three people.

China Film, Shanghai Film, and Enlight Media are all there, aren't they just their three investors.

"Lin Dao, sit down quickly, we are waiting for you." People from Shanghai Film smiled and urged.

If you guess right, it's about "Return to Youth".

No wine persuasion appeared, fortunately Lin Nan didn't eat much in the house just now, otherwise it would be embarrassing at this time.

"It's going to be on National Day, the promotion has been arranged these days." People from Enlight Media spoke first.

The person in charge of Shanghai Film ate a bite of food and didn't speak.

General Han Zong looked at Lin Nan with a smile, "Do you have any expectations for the box office?"

Lin Nan heard this, relaxed a little, thought it was something big, it seems that he was greedy by "House of Flying Daggers".

"There will be Jackie Chan's 'New Police Story' at the end of the month. Although this series is very classic, I am afraid it will not be too ideal now."

Lin Nan paused, "There are no blockbusters next month, 'A World Without Thieves' and 'Kung Fu' are both in December, I think Senior Brother Lu's 'Kekexili' can't beat me next month, I mean box office."

They seem to be waiting for this sentence, and smiles appeared on their faces.

"Have you found investment for 'Return to Dust'?"

Unexpectedly, General Han Zong said such a sentence.

Is this the main play? Lin Nan thought.

Also, Lin Nan's first two films were looking for investment.

Now the third script is available, the actors are all found, but he doesn't mention investment. Is this going to be done alone?

Lin Nan put down his chopsticks and wiped his mouth.

"That is a realistic subject matter, it is impossible to make a profit, and the probability of losing money is very high."

Sure enough, the three people sitting understood.

Shanghai Film and China Film have great profit pressure, so many people under their hands need to be raised, even if they invest in this kind of loss-making film, they will first consider those old directors.

Enlight Media goes without saying, private enterprises, for the purpose of profit, can lend money to Lin Nan is already optimistic about him and "Return to Youth", and it is absolutely impossible to invest in a film that is destined to lose money, unless it can win an award.

Regarding whether Lin Nan's new film can win an award, the three companies are not optimistic. He is completely a newcomer in this area of winning awards.

The topic turned and returned to "Return to Youth". Everyone is looking forward to how much box office it can get.

"The market is warming up, I think we can slightly increase the expectations." Lin Nan added.

The policy has begun to take care of this industry. Whether it is film companies or cinemas, many coal bosses have not come to invest.

"It is indeed."

They are all insiders, and they can clearly feel the changes in the market. Everyone was happy again for a while, maybe the box office can really rush.

At 11 o'clock in the evening, the dinner party dispersed, everyone returned to their rooms to rest, preparing for tomorrow's opening ceremony.

In the morning, Lin Nan began to organize his clothes. He felt more and more that he was very watery. He was also a director who had made a name for himself. The makeup artist he used was someone else's.

"Men just need to be energetic and clean, just clean up these useless things."

Facing Zhu Yawen's complaints, Lin Nan retorted, but still sat there and let the makeup artist do it.

"You just have a hard mouth. I just went around for a circle. Every company has its own makeup artist. Your company is like a leather bag shell. I don't even bother to talk about you."

For the sake of safety and stability, most guests stayed in the hotel arranged by the film festival. There are many reporters and ordinary people outside this area. The former wants to capture shots, and the latter is completely rushing to see stars.

"I just saw Jackie Chan."

"Didn't go up to ask for a group photo?"

"Too many people, didn't go."

Big Brother came as a guest. He didn't bring any works, but his "New Police Story" will be on at the end of the month, just in time for a promotion.

In less than half an hour, Lin Nan went out, accompanied by Zhu Yawen and the others. Yan Danchen and Shu Chang didn't come, they were in the crew.

The opening ceremony is generally more official, speeches, movie trailers, short films, game links, various literary performances.

The next two days there will be various seminars, academic conferences, exchange meetings.

The links that various crews and stars value most, and the links that attract the most attention are always the closing ceremony red carpet and the subsequent awards ceremony.

The Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers were held together for the last time, which can be said to be grand.

At 6 o'clock on the evening of the 19th, the red carpet officially started.

"38 Degrees", "Heaven and Earth Heroes", "Thrilling", "Jade Goddess of Mercy"... the finale is the "Cell Phone" crew and the "House of Flying Daggers" crew.

Jiang Wen, Xia Yu, Teacher Ge You, Zhang Guoli, Fan Bingbing..., Zhang Yimou, Zhang Ziyi...

The crews that finale on the red carpet are all blockbusters, box office films.

Lin Nan and the others are okay, placed in the middle and back. There are many young audiences at the scene. When Lin Nan walked the red carpet, he could hear many people shouting the names of the movies and the names of several of them.

"Lin Dao Nan, you are participating in a domestic film festival for the first time. Do you have any confidence in the awards nominated this time?"

The red carpet host handed over the microphone after several people signed.

"Participation is the most important thing. It's best to win an award. I'm still young and have many opportunities."

"Thank you to the 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' crew, and the 'Return to Youth' crew, thank you Lin Dao Nan..."

Standard process, Lin Nan and the others walked quickly, and the crew behind had already stepped on the red carpet.

The leaders of several major state-owned film companies have already sat in designated positions.

General Han Zong waved to Lin Nan, Lin Nan declined. It is comfortable to sit with Zhu Yawen and the others at this time.

"Our position is not very good." Zhou Yang said carelessly.

Behind and on both sides, how can it be good.

More and more people entered the venue, Lin Nan scanned a circle and said, "You don't look at who is sitting in a good position. It's either a leader or a big crew. I have only made one movie so far. Do we still expect to sit in the middle?"

The Hundred Flowers Award host is Pu Cunxi. This Hundred Flowers Award has a recommendation system. "Return to Youth" is the road of recommendation. China Film made efforts, after all, it has not been released yet.

There are three excellent feature film awards, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" got a quota, "Return to Youth" failed.

When Lin Nan received the award, he thanked General Manager Ren of Shanghai Film. He was smiling and waving below, and by the way, he advertised, "My 'Return to Youth' will be released on National Day, please take care of it, thank you."

The people under the stage laughed very heartily. There are really few people who dare to advertise at the awards ceremony. Lin Nan's move can be regarded as leaving a deep impression on everyone.

The Best Feature Film Award was won by "Cell Phone". Not to mention Zhang Yimou, Director Feng is currently the commercial film director who can carry the box office the most.

Best Actor, Teacher Ge You, "Cell Phone".

Uncle Ge is very humorous. After the acceptance speech, he also said, "I hope everyone supports my next movie, 'A World Without Thieves' in December, thank you Lin Dao Nan for your inspiration, hahaha."

Now the people under the stage are completely happy, and even the host has let go a lot.

"Lin Zi, you are considered an alternative fame tonight."

Lin Nan covered his face with one hand, and many people tilted their heads to see, laughing unscrupulously.

Best Actress, "Cell Phone", Fan Bingbing, low-cut white dress, very stunning, very plump.

The Hundred Flowers Award ceremony ended, and "Cell Phone" swept the actor and actress.

Feng Xiaogang was talking and laughing with Little General Wang Zong in his seat. The people on the side were congratulating and flattering. Fan Bingbing sat down, took her trophy and greeted other actresses. The smile always felt hidden with sword light and sword shadow.
