Chapter 508: Another kind of love from parents to children

"*Tiny Times 3* screened for ten days, total box office accumulated 440 million. Daily box office continues to fall significantly, already less than 6 million, box office potential is about to be exhausted."

"The first weekend of three days ended, Director Han Han's film debut *The Continent* reported 210 million, gaining preliminary recognition from the industry."

"Counting Jay Chou, Xu Zheng, Zhao Wei, Guo Jingming, Han Han, and others, crossover directors have become a popular trend in the film industry, and professional directors will face severe tests."

"Liu Yifei, Shu Chang fully armed, galloping and chasing on the track, heroic and spirited!"

……

At noon, Wang Changtian hosted a banquet for everyone.

Lin Nan doesn't worry about Liu Yifei's lunch problem; two gluttonous girlfriends together will absolutely not treat themselves badly, only eat better.

This is not, not long after, the two posted food photos on Weibo and tagged Lin Nan, with a showing-off meaning.

Immediately, many people in the circle commented and teased, calling out to Lin Nan, asking him to go over and pay the bill to redeem the people quickly.

Lin Nan had a hint of a smile on his face, put down the chopsticks in his hand, picked up his phone, and specially tagged and replied to Liu Yifei:

"Let the restaurant tear up the ticket or wash the dishes... can't afford to raise them."

Wang Changtian and others looked at Lin Nan's "mushy" expression and couldn't help shaking their heads and laughing; young people!

Weibo is very lively.

"Lin Dao is floating; actually dare to say such words! I bet, he will definitely be beaten when he goes back today!"

"Is this laying the groundwork for 'improving life' again? Huayi's stock price seems quite good these two days."

"Give an address, I'll go redeem the people for Lin Dao..."

"Haven't married yet and already like this, identification completed, Lin Dao Nan is undoubtedly a scumbag!"

……

"Lin Dao, Chairman Wang, the start time for *Lost in Hong Kong*, I tentatively set it at the end of September or early October. By then, the schedules of all the leads will be no problem."

Xu Zheng toasted with a wine glass and drank it in one gulp.

"*Wolf Warrior*'s fine-cut post-production must be completely done by the end of the year. Lin Dao knows that I delayed quite a few scenes of *SPL 2* because of an injury halfway, and still have to enter the crew to reshoot."

Wu Jing used tea instead of wine; he still has to drive his wife home in a while.

Among the people at this table, the highest status is Lin Nan and Wang Changtian, and the lowest are Bao Bei'er and Liu Yan.

When the banquet was almost over, Liu Yan finally gathered the courage to apologize to Lin Nan for her friend.

"Lin Dao, don't be the same as Da Peng; he just wants to succeed too much, wants to find anyone to cameo, no bad intentions. That morning, Xu Dao, Brother Jing were all annoyed by him, wanted to pull them into his *Jian Bing Man* crew..."

Lin Nan looked at Liu Yan and smiled; to be honest, he didn't really care much.

From beginning to end, he didn't give the other party a bad face, just a bit annoyed; it really has a kind of dog-skin plaster energy.

Besides, didn't he give a suggestion at the end.

If it were Chen Kaige, he would have blackened his face long ago. Jiang Wen would probably also retort a few words; he is quite good at retorting, often retorting the media, teaching others how to behave.

"You guys have a very good relationship?" Lin Nan asked with interest.

"We are all from grassroots, so we get along well, can be considered very good friends." Liu Yan also said bluntly.

"If you really want to walk on this path of film director, the first film is very important. Especially the script story, the most important. If the word of mouth of the first one is broken, the later ones will become extremely difficult.

That *Diors Man* series of his, the click rate online is very high. But if you copy this set to film a feature film, I really don't look favorably on it, because there is no story to speak of. You can convey it to him, polish the script carefully."

Lin Nan said kindly; he has a pretty good impression of Liu Yan.

In addition, it is still that sentence he said to Han Sanping before, films with the word "Xia" (hero/knight) in them, whether they are co-productions or domestic films, are all hard to say.

Just like: *The Warlords*, *Tai Chi 0*, *All's Well, Ends Well 2011*...

"Lin Dao said it very correctly, it is indeed like this." Xu Zheng nodded in agreement.

"My first film *Legendary Assassin* flopped, fortunately the word of mouth was okay." Wu Jing laughed at himself.

"On this path of director, the word of mouth of the first film is more important than the box office." Lin Nan gave the conclusion.

"Hmm, thank you Lin Dao, Xu Dao, Brother Jing. I will convey it to him."

Liu Yan said gratefully.

But she knew clearly in her heart that Da Peng would probably not listen, because he wanted to repeat the success of *Diors Man* in film too much.

…………

*The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom* joined the battle in the second half of the summer season on the last Thursday of July.

The beauty of Lian Nishang played by Fan Bingbing is one of the biggest selling points of this film.

At the same time, the domestic animated blockbuster *Dragon Nest: Warriors' Dawn*, adapted from an online game, was also released.

Hu Ge, Jing Tian, Xu Jiao, and others attended the press conference together to stand for this film.

Rarely coming to the capital, Hu Ge specially invited Lin Nan out for coffee.

After all, his previous TV series was *Nirvana in Fire*, jointly produced by Lin Nan Film Industry.

"Congratulations to Lin Dao again in person, happy engagement next month. When the wedding is officially held, I will definitely prepare a big red envelope."

Heard from Hu Ge that he will enter the crew in a few days, at the beginning of next month.

Tang Ren opened a new TV series, the youth inspirational theme *Go! Goal! Fighting! *, about football.

And the supporting actress also has Zeng Li who is currently in the *Mojin: The Lost Legend* crew, but it must be tight to the *Mojin: The Lost Legend* side first.

After the film scenes are almost done, Zeng Li will enter the *Go! Goal! Fighting! * crew.

Tang Ren has obviously been going downhill these two years, and no longer has the glory of the beginning.

Heard that many old employees who did behind-the-scenes work for the crew were poached by companies like New Classics and Huace at high prices, and they were poached in teams.

Among the group of artists, only Hu Ge and Liu Shishi are still holding on, both are first-tier, the rest are still in a lukewarm state.

The listing dream planned for several years can be considered completely broken.

However, *Nirvana in Fire* also opened a new situation for Hu Ge; heard him say that Hou Hongliang and Kong Sheng of Daylight Entertainment look favorably on him.

Even promised that once there is a suitable role later, they will look for him.

"Then have to congratulate you, your President Cai is rarely so generous."

Putting down the coffee in his hand, looking at the scenery outside, Lin Nan joked.

"Haha, also don't have many shares. Actually, many companies have looked for me privately, and I have thought about leaving. But some favors are hard to repay."

Hu Ge said with some emotion, Lin Nan didn't commit.

If there hadn't been that car accident back then, there might not be the current Hu Ge;

But with that car accident, he was tied to Tang Ren, and favors are hard to repay. After all, Cai Yinong was considered to have sentiment and righteousness back then.

Chatted for nearly an hour, promised to give Hu Ge the wedding invitation as soon as possible, and the two said goodbye and left.

……

News came from Hong Kong that *Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny* has officially started filming.

What the industry didn't expect was that the news spread a few days ago was still exclusively produced by The Weinstein Company.

But today at the opening press conference, the shadow of China Film appeared.

La Peikang still couldn't hold back and learned from Han Sanping, choosing to gamble, betting on the "big ip" of the predecessor *Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon*.

He forcefully snatched "food" from Shanghai Film, bought a lot of investment shares from The Weinstein Company at a premium, and became one of the only two producers.

This *Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny* logically became a China-US co-production film!

When Lin Nan brushed this news at home, he was stunned.

Such a big pit, how did La Peikang jump into it?

Although it is a sequel, the production team has changed 99%! How can this still be the same?

"Sometimes, not being able to snatch from China Film is also a kind of blessing for Chairman Ren." Lin Nan complained.

"Mom will be back in two days; she asked if there is any news about the venue?"

Liu Yifei was applying a mask, asking Lin Nan in the living room from the second floor.

"Hmm, no problem, already booked. That day only us, I asked people to book that side, keeping it secret from the outside."

Some places have great significance to Lin Nan and Liu Yifei, and this engagement banquet is still there.

"Hmm good, I will return Mom's call in a while. And Uncle's itinerary arrangement?"

Lin Nan looked up towards the second floor, teasing with a smile, "Yo, Princess Xixi is a bit anxious to marry? Considering everything so comprehensively."

Only saw under the semi-transparent mask, Liu Yifei's cheeks bulged, "Why, can't I? I'm looking forward to Uncle coming over to beat you up soon!"

"Haha, of course you can. Will come over at the end of the middle of the month, being able to come ten days in advance is already very rare. He has always been unable to let go of those guests of his."

"Oh, that's good, by then, we will go to the airport to pick him up together." Liu Yifei nodded, revealing a smile.

Only Lin Nan knows in his heart that being able to come ten days in advance was still what he fought for.

Parents are sometimes very contradictory, especially some parents of the older generation.

Children getting engaged, getting married, are they not excited? Of course excited, also want to come over early.

But on the other hand, they also have their own stubbornness.

That is, they think children have children's lives and families, and they don't want to or dare not disturb too much.

Even in their view, children are about to form a family, and they are also old, and might become very eyesore.

Actually, this is also another kind of love from parents to children, sometimes making people feel sad.

…………

A new day, the film and television circle, entertainment circle once again became the target of public criticism.

Only half of this year has passed, but there are too many people committing crimes.

Public opinion can no longer be suppressed; this time it is true public indignation!

News online, all walks of life, countless netizens, are cursing the filth of the entertainment circle.

These celebrities and famous figures earn so much money, yet they are always recklessly breaking the law. If they aren't involved in prostitution, they're huddled together as drug addicts.

Many official Weibo accounts were crowded by a large number of indignant netizens, demanding that relevant departments thoroughly deal with this chaotic phenomenon in the entertainment circle.

When Lin Nan got up for breakfast in the morning, he was also shocked by the news online.

"Sigh, another one looking for death!"
