Chapter 659: LeTV Film Gives Up Listing? Budget 165 Million USD

Lin Nan and Liu Yifei got up at seven o'clock in the morning; at this point in time, the two of them particularly regretted choosing the flight just past 9:30.

Hmm, this is the bed-getting-up temper at work!

In the villa, Director Lin was looking at his phone and napping on the sofa, Miss Liu was busy washing up, and the assistants were counting their luggage and loading the car.

Outside, the gossip in the circle had already spread last night:

Following Ye Ning, a total of 34 cinema managers from Wanda Cinema left, all of whom came from the top-ranked cinemas under the cinema company, all of whom were core elites and middle management.

For a large cinema chain, these talents were the true backbone. And this time, undoubtedly, Wanda Cinema was knocked to the bone and sucked dry, and its vitality was greatly damaged.

I heard that Old Wang flew back in the early hours of yesterday, very low-key; it was really after the incident, and he landed at the capital airport 30-plus hours later.

Of course, nearly 20 hours of this were flight time;

So, this shows that Old Wang should have booked the flight back to the country immediately after receiving the news from the country.

Because at that time, Old Wang's side should have been in the middle of the night, unable to leave for the first time.

I guess at this moment, the atmosphere inside Wanda is probably not very good. It's almost a state of being frightened by the wind and cranes, and being suspicious of every tree and grass?!

Lin Nan estimated that the time for Huayi to publicize the entry of these people should be during his time in Hollywood.

Because Ye Ning revealed a sentence, these people have to formally manage Huayi Cinema starting from the beginning of March; then the announcement time, isn't it the end of February!

"Hey, a big excitement, it's a pity I can't watch it with my own eyes in the country, it's really a bit of a pity."

Lin Nan cheered up and joked to himself.

"Lin Nan, I'm packed, shall we set off now?"

Liu Yifei, wearing black sports leather boots, high-waisted slim jeans, a denim jacket, and a base shirt, stood in the distance looking at Lin Nan, with a nasal sound, crisp and soft, asking.

Although she was in a heroic sports style, the obviously sleepy spirit gave Lin Nan a feeling of "dull" online;

Hmm, it's dull, cute, a bit silly, maybe it might be easy to cheat!

"7:20? Then let's set off, shall we have breakfast when we arrive at the airport?"

"Mm-hmm, okay."

Walking over, hugging Lin Nan's arm, Miss Liu really wanted to squint for a while.

Two minutes later, four assistants, four bodyguards, a group of ten people and five cars, left the villa and headed straight for the capital airport.

"Mainly produced by China Film, starring Huang Xiaoming, with Xu Zheng, Luo Jin, Pu Bajia, and others participating, the China-India friendly film work 'Xuanzang' is officially scheduled for April 29th."

"It is reported that the movie 'Xuanzang' will be released on the same day as 'Finding Mr. Right 2', produced by Lin Nan Film and directed by Xue Xiaolu, competing for the May Day slot!"

"In the morning, Director Lin Nan and Liu Yifei appeared at the airport with several assistants, bodyguards, and suitcases. Liu Yifei responded simply to reporters that the two will set off for Hollywood to attend the Oscar awards ceremony and awards banquet."

"Fans secretly photographed and uploaded photos and short videos of Director Lin Nan and Liu Yifei in the airport departure hall, having breakfast together: Director Lin Nan finished the food Liu Yifei couldn't finish... the picture is warm and comfortable!"

When the news appeared online and spread in the circle, Lin Nan and Liu Yifei had already boarded the plane.

"They set off today?" La Peikang looked at the secretary with some surprise.

"Didn't hear the wind before, Director Lin and Producer Liu are quite low-key." The secretary nodded.

"What about Zhang Yimou and the others? Which day are they preparing to set off?"

'The Great Wall' is the most important film project of China Film this year, and La Peikang attaches great importance to it.

"It's tomorrow morning, Zhang Zong from LeTV Film will follow in person."

"Hmm, that's good."

Hearing this answer, La Peikang felt much more relieved. It was not convenient for China Film to send senior executives to follow, and Zhang Zong leading the team in person was the most appropriate.

"By the way, how did I hear that LeTV Film gave up listing? They signed so many star shareholders, all of whom were for listing, no trouble?"

"This, it seems to be true, it has spread in a small range in the industry. But how it was handled, it seems that the Jia Zong appeased all the star shareholders of LeTV Film, there should be other solutions..."

There were not many film and television companies planning to list this year, and LeTV Film was one of them, and it exited temporarily, so naturally it couldn't be hidden from the small circle.

"Heh, other solutions? Don't be any crooked ways."

La Peikang smiled with implication, very contemptuous.

The time difference between Berlin and the capital is 7 hours;

When Lin Nan and Liu Yifei were still flying in the sky and hadn't arrived in Los Angeles, the awards ceremony of the Berlin International Film Festival had already begun, and the graphic live broadcast online was also carried out together.

As the winner of the Jin Xiong Award last year, Lin Nan's closing speech video was the first to be played, followed by the winners of other awards last year.

And at the beginning of the awards ceremony, the only movie in the mainland that was shortlisted for the main competition unit won an award other than several core awards:

'Crosscurrent' -- Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution.

Winning this award also meant that this movie failed to sprint for the Jin Xiong and stopped here!

Because the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution is the entry-level award and consolation award among the main competition unit awards.

But by comparison, it was already very good, at least it didn't return empty-handed; it was just a pity for Qin and Xin Zhilei, who were destined to miss the Silver Bear for Acting from the beginning.

And very coincidentally, the person who presented the Silver Bear for Artistic Contribution to the 'Crosscurrent' crew was none other than Li Yang, who won this award for 'Blind Shaft' back then.

Thus, Lin Nan, the winner of the Jin Xiong Award last year who didn't attend the awards ceremony, was named by Li Yang like this, and served as an award presenter in another way.

Everything was like a cycle, full of topics!

February, the temperature in Los Angeles in the morning is not high.

When Lin Nan and Liu Yifei left the airport with their assistants and bodyguards, the wind blowing on their faces could clearly feel a bit cold.

"Hmm, today this is probably only five, six degrees?"

Liu Yifei lifted the edge of her mask on the bridge of her nose, then very naturally put her hand into the pocket of her down jacket; she always favored clothes with pockets.

"It is a bit cold, it will be fine once we get in the car."

"It's really a bit difficult for Tang Mu, every time it's early in the morning to pick us up, hehe."

Liu Yifei joked with a smile. At this time, everyone had left the airport, and the field of vision in front of them opened up instantly;

Although it was not yet seven o'clock in the morning, there were quite a few vehicles and passengers.

From afar, Tang Mu brought a few people to greet them. Honestly, he was a little bit thinner than when he saw him four months ago!

"Tang Mu, you look a bit listless? What did you do last night?"

Lin Nan teased with a smile, and saw Tang Mu's innocent face: "Lin, don't be sarcastic, I'm busy with serious business, hmm, serious business...

Alright, hurry up and go, the car is over there, let you two see, I bought a new car... By the way, your Lantern Festival is tomorrow, right? I see Chinatown over there..."

Forget it, still so talkative, it's just that the dark circles are a bit heavy.

Lin Nan and Liu Yifei sat in Tang Mu's bulletproof Lincoln, with five Mercedes SUVs following behind.

On the way to Beverly Hills, listening to Tang Mu's gossip, Lin Nan and Liu Yifei realized: it won't be very peaceful here this year, because there is an election.

In Tang Mu's words, this "newcomer" with high momentum is a pure businessman, and the uncertainty is too high;

If he really gets to the top, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing for Hollywood!

It has to be said that Zhang Ziyi's career ambition is really strong;

Not long after leaving the confinement, she began to be active in Hollywood, frequently entering and exiting major public relations dinner parties and parties, constantly contacting major producers and directors, but looking at it, there was no harvest.

As the best director of the Golden Globe Awards and Oscars last year, Lin Nan, who won a total of six trophies, just appeared, and in less than half an hour, there was a report on Hollywood entertainment news.

In the villa in Beverly Hills that had just been cleaned up, Lin Nan and Liu Yifei were leaning lazily on the sofa together.

Phone calls were made one after another, all of them were acquaintances, including Li An, Zhang Ziyi, and others, very enthusiastic.

"Let us two rest for one night first, let's meet tomorrow."

Lin Nan lazily refused. On the other end of the phone, it was Leonardo whose voice sounded very happy.

This guy had already won quite a few association awards and small awards relying on 'The Revenant', and at this moment, he was in high spirits, only waiting for the final fight in a few days -- the battle for defense.

"That's fine, I'll say hello to Matt and the others, see you tomorrow.

Lin, you have to know, there are really many, many actors in Hollywood who want to make friends with you, but the time you spend here every year is too short..."

"Leon, you don't need to remind me of this, hehe..."

At this time, Tang Mu, who had gone and returned, brought in quite a lot of food, and Lin Nan and Liu Yifei didn't eat breakfast on the plane.

"Lin, crystal, it's time to eat. I specifically went to a Chinese restaurant, it's opened by Chinese, hmm, there is porridge..."

Hearing the sound, Liu Yifei sat up immediately, she was really hungry right now.

The three sat at the dining table and ate breakfast together; this guy Tang Mu could really eat at any time.

"Let's talk, Lion Gate and Warner haven't set a time yet, right?"

Lin Nan bit the beef-stuffed bun and asked about serious business. Liu Yifei was eating, just listening, too lazy to interrupt.

"Warner and Lion Gate's meaning is to wait until crystal arrives in Hollywood before setting the time to meet and divide the shares."

Once talking about work, Tang Mu also became serious instantly.

"Is the budget out? How much?"

Speaking of budget, Tang Mu became even more energetic:

"In the first part, the production cost at that time was 160 million USD; the budget for this time was originally 180 million USD, but after I led people to calculate repeatedly, I compressed it twice, and now it is 165 million USD.

Because we want to use many settings and spare materials from the first part, those people from China Film were too crazy at that time, making a large number of alternative plans and designs, these things have been preserved, so there is no need to redesign, so it was compressed by 15 million dollars..."

Hearing Tang Mu say this, Lin Nan and Liu Yifei couldn't help laughing instantly.

The reason why the two of them laughed was not because the production cost was compressed by 15 million USD, but because they remembered the "crazy energy" of those people from China Film at that time; at that time, the technical personnel and engineers of China Film were complained about, and the reason for the complaint was:

Too inhumane, always working overtime in the middle of the night!
